I live less than 5min away hoping I would find a new taco spot to go to but was met with terrible service by the elderly man behind the register. He made a mistake taking my order and started blaming me for it. Didn't even get a chance to pay and try their food and walked out. Stopped in for breakfast for the first time. Brisk business this morning confirms this is a great place to stop in for breakfast on your way to work. Chilaquiles Rojos is spicy and served with rice and beans. Made fresh as always and packed with flavor. Next time I'll ask for a fried egg on top. Lots of parking, conveniently located. I enjoy their breakfast burritos. Typically get bacon and add jalapeños. I bring it home and eat it with fresh avocado and sour kraut. Their tamales are very good and they will add enchilada sauce and cheese on it. I never get enough tamales and usually have to go back and get more. Being from Austin, TX I'm very picky about my Mexican food. This place is pretty good and authentic. read more

I came here the other day and I ordered the beef enchilada and carne asada combination with an extra el pastor taco. I also their churro and extra corn tortillas. This place is always good. I recommend their enchiladas, the sauce is rich and the enchilada is not swimming in it like so many other places (Micasa Too....). Their beans are great, as well as their salsas. I highly recommend the green sauce unless you love the pain. The red salsa is fiery! Tacos were always good, with a decent amount of meat on each. Loved the churro! Super Taqueria is an aptly named business as it's basically taco truck food in a strip mall style shop. The inside is decorated with Latino art, some of it is very nice. Probably a dozen tables on the inside but I rarely see people eating inside, this is more of a "togo on your lunch break" spot. I usually order tacos or a super burrito with al pastor(yum) but they also make a pretty good torta and their quesadillas are huge. If you call ahead, they usually have your food ready in 10 minutes or so. The guy working the counter is infallible and friendly and never misses a beat and as far as I can see, just one other lady working the kitchen, so they must be some savants to manage to serve as many people as they do during lunch. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is the prices are more expensive than your average taco truck, like literally double the price for 3 tacos. Same with the drinks. Otherwise, I would absolutely go out of my way to eat here regularly. read more

This taqueria is located in a prominent industrial area of Reno so the space if fairly large for a taqueria. There's one TV and many tables so seating shouldn't be a problem. There's also a bar that looks like it's out of service so only bottled beer is available. I had 3 authentic Mexican tacos (2 carne asada 1 chorizo) and they were okay, not the best I've had and not the worst. I enjoyed the chorizo more than the carne asada, which tasted fairly bland and was too dry. The tacos are $2.50 each and are standard with double corn tortillas, onions, and cilantro. There were two salsas at the bar, both of which I tried and thought were fairly good, but not spectacular. Overall, definitely not my favorite taco shop in town but I'd go back if I need a quick bite and I'm in the area. Service is very fast so you can get in and out in 20 minutes or less. read more

I've been in south Reno for over a year now and always seen this place. While looking for a quick, cheaper option for some tacos I decided this was the place. For a quick review, the food was good, but portion size is way smaller than expected. Will be returning, possibly for dine in to see if its more filling. The place is smaller, but open and very clean. The menu board is on the side wall though and that makes it a bit hard to read and see. I wish they had paper versions of the menu handy, or at least a couple laminated versions. I got 2, 2 taco combos, each $9.99. The tacos were wonderful. I got al pastor and carne asada. The al pastor was the winner as far as flavor and taste but I would order both again. Cory got lingua and al pastor and he was in love b/c lingua tacos are his jam. My gripe comes that you pay for rice and beans with the combo, a single taco is $2.20 now, so 2 tacos is under $5, and they don't have a cost for side of rice and beans, but even if it was $3 or $4 a piece for both, probably worth it to just order a la cart. I would say its a 1/4 cup of rice and 1/4 of beans, if that. (see pics of the take out box) the combo which doesn't feel right. I also ordered a shrimp tostada, thankfully b/c we were both still pretty hungry after eating the combo meals. The shrimp ceviche was nice and fresh and was a nice clean way to end the meal. So overall, found the food to be excellent, and will return, but maybe not for takeout. read more

In the Reno area, this is a decent place to get a burrito. My husband had been jonesing for a burrito so I thought I'd surprise him with a burrito and XL Rice for dinner.. The burritos are alright but the hubby loves their red sauce. I asked 2 x for the red sauce to be added inside the burrito but it didn't happen. After she rang up the charges, I signed the credit card slip and was dumbfounded by the $19.71 charge. I thought the cashier handed me the receipt but one was not given. I knew the burrito was $8..49 or $8.79 but the rice??? When I asked what she charged me for the XL rice she replied $10. The XL rice measures 4 cups. Yes, I measured. Conclusion: the food is decent, red sauce is great, ask for extra just in case they forget to add but don't order the rice! Please note they close at 2:30 pm read more

This is a solid spot to grab some street style tacos when you have the craving. Typical choice of meats with the standard cilantro and onion to top it. They have a few different salsas to choose from as well. Prices are reasonable and the food is way better than your typical fast food burger joint. They serve breakfast too! My son and I went a little 'rouge' when we ate here; I ordered the chicken mole (tender, not too sweet, not too heavy on the seasonings, very nice) and my toddler son insisted on ordering a burger (which was surprisingly good! It had a flavor profile that was reminiscent of a diner burger and was nostalgic for me-- when I'm not craving Mexican food I might honestly return just for a burger! lol). Though we live a bit father now (I used to live in an apartment within walking distance), this is still my go-to local place for Mexican food. Great food, cooked with skill from average quality ingredients. They have a couple of people that always add a dollar or two to the menu price (it's digital, so it's not like it can't be easily updated). They think you won't notice (not sure if they're afraid they won't get a tip or are trying to line their pockets). I'd rate this at a 3/5 because of the questionable behaviors that make me question overall ethics. Otherwise, it's an easy 4-5/5. Do you know how many times I've been back to Super Taqueria in the "more than four years" since this last review? Too many to count, but probably at least between 30-40! Aside from Sunday, this is a delicious taco stop in South Reno any day if the week. The meats are all succulent, the tortillas tender, and the salsas are perfect to top it all! Prices are fair, and they have churros. Super Taqueria has been a favorite lunch stop for me and my son. He actually asks me to take him there at least than 2. Our favorites are the al pastor, the lengua, and the chorizo. Perfect combo of salty and spicy! My hope is that that is great biz still there on the other side. read more

Ive probaby had 178 of their bacon breakfast burritos. Never had anything else. Their breakfast burritos are the best Ive ever had anywhere and the consistency in quality is extremely impressive. The hunks of bacon are huge and cooked perfectly. Its not thin flat bacon but diced hunks! The red salsa that comes with it is amazing. From the outside this place doesn't look very large but once you walk in you realize first impressions deceive. I ordered two super tacos the food was made fresh to order. The ambiance is quaint. Everything seems really clean and neat. Definitely not your standard divey hole in the wall. This is a great spot in between errands or for a quick lunch break. Super Taqueria, we meet again! Not by choice, sad to say. We are having tacos for dinner, so, we stopped for a pizza lunch date. But Mypie is closed down and our appointment is 3 doors down in 30 minutes. You probably won't rush right in for a cheeseburger (I would hope not); Just letting you know that if you had to, you could. A frozen patty and slice of cheese. Boom! While their fries and burgers aren't going to win any awards, it's just an added option for our benefit. What if someone in your party didn't like Mexican cuisine but was out of options. Today was $1 Churro day. Both of my Churros were very, very good. From my last visit I can tell you they easily have the best Lengua burrito in all of Reno. Wanted to try their breakfast burritos and decided to try the chorizo and sausage. Chorizo was alright. The sausage burrito was actually hot dog weiny not actual sausage. They should put on their menu that it's actually weiny not sausage. Asked if they can remake our burrito with another type of meat they said no since hot dog package said "sausage". Asked if they could refund the money and they said no it wasn't their fault. Lost $10 on that nasty burrito. Definitely won't be returning because of them lying on their menu and their bad customer service. read more

This is my first time here. My husband and i have been wanting to try it for some time now but we always end up at super b. I got a shredded beef taco, great flavor and came out piping hot (burned my lips), and I also got a spicy pork burrito, while flavorful I found it to be a little dry and some crunchy stuff I didn't care too much for.
