Love this spot. Food portions are always generous for the price! And their employees always happy and eager to help! I come from the other side of town just to visit and eat here ! read more

I am a huge fan of their chile relleno tacos and carne asada. Portion size is great and prices are fair. I love coming here or Huichos down the street. I wish I could grab the avo salsa from Huichos and bring it to Super Taco to really enjoy my meal. Their horchata, Jamaica, and pina drinks are refreshing and cheap! Less than $2 with free refills. Woot! Tip: This place is a little scary pass 7, but that's just me. read more

Just because it's in a very authentic spot of town doesn't mean the food taste authentic. Even if you get passed the dripping grease coming down your taco or burrito all you get is pretty plain tasting meat. Reasonable prices but the taste doesn't fit the budget. Go somewhere else. There's a Tacos La Villa close somewhere or try a taco truck. read more

The place itself is kinda dirty-you usually have to clean the tables before you eat. But OMG the tacos are good. Simple and good. They are served with just the meat and tortilla. They aren't stingy on the meat, provide enough lemons, cilantro, and onions at the salsa bar. The red salsa is really spicy but very good. And the people who work there are always nice. I used to come all the time when i worked nearby. Now i don't mind the drive when I've got the craving. It's just a damn good taco. read more

What about they charge 4% of your total for a debit/credit card surcharge... that's beyond the cost of doing business! Make sure you bring cash! read more

Now that I have been around and have tried a variety of tacos I consider myself an expert in tacos, lol. I'm upgrading them from four to five stars. They really do have the best tacos and set up in all of Bakersfield. read more

Ordered from here on my dad's recommendation that this place had not only the best tacos and burritos in town but the best salsa. When I drove up and saw the burnt sign, I assumed that just meant the food was as fire as I heard it was. What's a disappointment. While I agree, the salsa was good, the food was terrible. I ordered a pastor burrito and received a sloppily packed burrito with pork stew meat not pastor. I'm not normally one to be picky with food but the meat was both dry and raw in some areas. I couldn't even attempt to finish it. read more

Hole in the wall place, bad area of town...amazing food and amazing service. My only complaint is the bad ventilation when they are grilling meat- the place immediately fills up with smoke. Man customers were coughing because of the smoke. Other than that, we had an awesome experience. The food was delicious, fast, and fresh. We shared some carne asada nachos, which had nacho cheese, beans, sour cream, and cilantro. My best friend and I both ordered several tacos a piece. I got chicken and he got asada. They just came with meat on them but they had a salsa bar with pico de gallo and onions/cilantro where you can add as many toppings as you want. As a person who had tried many different tacos in her life, I was impressed by this place. I will definitely be back :) read more

My go to place for carne asada burritos! Ugh I love this place so much! Juicy tender meat, fluffy rice and homemade retried beans and salsas! Doesn't get any better than that. Absolutely delish! I love my lemons and salsa and a good carne asada! If you want a burrito fix GO HERE GO HERE!!! Huge burritos and so worth it! read more

My favorite place in Bakersfield to get Chili Rellenos. The Chili Relleno burritos are to die for. Some of the best Mexican food in town. I would give it five stars, except the neighborhood and the actual restaurant are a bit run down. If you are looking for authentic & delicious Mexican food but don't care about the atmosphere...this is the place to go! Very cheap too. read more

I just love this place. Staff is always friendly and the salsas are always great. When we go we always order a carnitas burrito and a Carne Asada torta. Always delicious. read more

Despite the slightly interesting location, this establishment; is well worth the adventure. The staff is super friendly, and will help navigate you in the right direction if indecisive about your order; assuming you are female or one of those "I don't care, where do you want to eat" individuals. You can eat most of the menu items for less than $10, and the giant portion sizes make it make it extremely satisfying! I order the Chile Verde burrito, which in my opinion; is at least top 3 in my list of chile verde I have enjoyed in my 33 year existence. I'm 6'2, 260 lbs, and I can't finish the gargantuan sized burrito that they bless your plate with. So you don't have to worry about a sissy portion sized plate by any means. There is a salsa bar, so you have your choice between spicy as ketchup, or melt your face hot, depending on your threshold of spice tolerance. You can choose from traditional salsa, green chile sauce, and a few others. They also serve Menudo on the weekend, so if you are in desperate need of that hangover cure from your previous nights drunken misadventures; stop in and devour a delicious bowl of AUTHENTIC menudo. Enjoy! read more

Best tacos I've had hands down! Wish there was one in Tehachapi! Or in a more convenient location

Ok so i spent some time in Bakersfield and had the chance to try every taco joint in town over a several months. I have to say there are a few that stand out, but this one is it for me. Price wise you just cant beat them. Street tacos they are but the carne asada is the best, chicken is super chunky and for get about the $2 chili relleno cant be beat anywhere. I challenge you to beat these guys for taste n price really. read more

I really wanted a breakfast burrito for lunch but they stop serving lunch at 11. So, 10:30 AM breakfast was the only logical choice. The store is clean with decent seating. The service was fairly poor. The guy taking orders was probably just having a bad day as he sounded just a little...unwell. Maybe just tired...I dont know but he surely wasn't glad to see me. I ordered the chorizo burrito and my buddy ordered the breakfast burrito. Both were kind of plain. I had to add plenty of extra sauce to mind which made it better but I could make much better food at home. I am not sure why other people like this place. It's just...blah. Stay home, save money, and make it yourself. I wouldn't mind going back but I certainly wouldn't have the same thing again. Maybe their lunch dinner menu is better. I gave it 2 stars because the food was okay but the service was poor. I would have given them 3 stars if they cashier would have at least smiled or something. Oh well. read more

You can't beat these tacos for the price. They pile the meat onto two corn tortillas to the point where you can barely fold them. Everything is cooked fresh, and the sauces and salsas are on a side bar. Service here is top notch. First time here and my total was $4.06. Order taker told me to pay $4 even. The cook screwed up my order of 2 carne asads and one chicken and made 3 carne asadas and one chicken. He didn't hesistate and told me to keep the extra taco. I ate it happily. This is just a couple blocks from my office, I will be coming back often. read more

Is my new favorite taco stand. Wet burrito is yummy along with their chicken tacos. Can't wait to come back for their garlic fries. read more

The food was good but the cashier was very rude. I had asked if i can build MY OWN omelet which I did. When my order came to me it had potatoes in it so i took it back and the cashier was rude. She also asked me several times if i want green or red sauce and i said red but i got green. Terrible service!!!! read more

Super Taco is very generous with the freshly cooked meats. Tacos here are big, Usually I eat four tacos, at this place three is usually enough, at least for lunch. The Asada is very good, moist, and fresh with no gristle or hard spots. Tender and seasoned well. The Lengua, it is tender and tasty. Pastor, however is unlike any pastor I have ever had. It seriously seems like some type of pork roast, big chunks of flavorless meat cooked in a crockpot, or some other way that it is MUCH TOO WATERY. Never before have I had "pastor" like this, I don't like it. The burritos are good as are the quesadillas. Myself, I don't like the salsas, just fucking hot, for me too hot. Another yelper says it would be nice to bring the avo salsa from Huichos, I agree. I will eat here again and again, my friends from work like it here. But there are better places to get this type of food. And if you are the type who notices, the B grade from the health department is now an A. I would enjoy this place much more if the salsa/condiment bar was better. read more

Hands down my favorite place since I was a kid. The food is consistently tasty and services always amazing. You cannot go wrong with anything that you order on their menu. It is one of Bakersfield oldest taco places around. It is my go to spot when I visit this wonderful city of Bakersfield. A must place to visit and eat. read more

Its been years since I ate here, but I just moved back into town and went for it. This taqueria has food that is good and tasty. Went here with by father and brother for tortas. Really tasty meat with all the fixins. I saw someone order tacos and they give a good sized taco for $1.25. One complaint was that the hot sauce was on the mild side, but still good. They offer red or green sauce as well as pica de gallo and a cilantro/onion mix. They also serve horchata, pina and jamaica drink as well a sodas. read more

This place served us so fast and the food was fresh and tasty. Simple flavors, simple menu, but we will be back. We liked the pineapple drink and the horchata especially. read more

3.5 stars for me but I rounded up. I had the carnitas burrito eventhough the guy who took my order said the popular choice was carne asada and or lengua. my burrito was a little on the dry side but the tortilla and salsa over balanced it in my favor. I will be back to try a few more items on the menu for sure. read more

Super Taco - carnitas burrito - Mexican Near Me - Bakersfield, California

Best taco joint in Bakersfield hands down

I grew up coming here on special days with my family and it never disappointed. The food is always delicious but what makes this place my favorite are the drinks. The horchata is the best and the one I compare all other horchata's to. They also have an agua de piña that is delicious! If you eat-in, you can get free refills! Prices are super reasonable as this is a low key restaurant. Their eating area is quite large but they do have those super uncomfortable booths that don't fit anyone. lol. But they also have some arcade games for the kiddies and the you can get all the salsa and garnishes that you want. Get the carne asada burrito...it's large enough for two servings! :) read more

The best burritos in town!! Hands down! This little hole in the wall makes the best food! They're red salsa is soo hot and sooo addicting. I don't mind driving here to get their amazing food. read more

Driving through Bakersfield en route to Vegas... had to stop for tacos. Local shopkeeper here recommended this place. Not disappointed! Good carnitas--with just a hint of the crisp texture! The Pastor was juicy and tender, it reminded me of Chile Colorado but with pork (not too much pineapple flavor). The Chile verde was also very tender. The salsas added a nice kick without overwhelming the flavor with heat. And they were CHEAP! $1.65 per taco! What a tasty deal! My wife says the jamaica drink was nicely done as well. You will not be disappointed for the price! I wish I could've ordered more tacos, but we're heading to Vegas for some big meals! read more

Horrible! It was extremely hot and the hot sauces were just sitting out in a cart with no ice.

By far the best tacos I've ever had... The nachos were amazing and the customer service was excellent... I definitely recommend anyone to eat there read more

After reading the reviews, we had to try it and even though they had a "B" rating, we gave it a go. I had the chili relleno burrito, it was huge and very tasty. Family had a carne asada burrito, lengua burrito and a asada torta. The guy who took our order was very friendly and gave us free drink cups because it was our first time there. They have a salsa bar with several different salsas, radishes, onions/cilantro, peppers, etc. I gave then a 4 because of the rating and because the dining area needed a good cleaning and because of the neighborhood. I probably wouldn't stop there alone. We plan on going back when my husband is with us. read more

3 of us had menudo and shrimp cocktail. Both were equally tasteless. We had to add a lot of the spices available on the "salsa bar" to make it halfway edible. The shrimp cocktail was watered down, in fact it tasted like they boiled shrimp in ketchup and water, with more water than ketchup. The menudo wasn't the best but at least it didn't stink or taste gamey. It lacked taste and we had to throw a whole lot of spices and dry herbs available at the "salsa bar" to make it halfway edible. My friends didn't even finish the menudo, the plate got sent back almost full. All in all everything tasted watered down, even the salsas. read more

I'm not one to leave bad reviews but here goes my first. I placed my order online with Yelp which was great. As I arrived I was asked for money by a panhandler. I received my order and the place looked clean. When I left I was asked by a different person if I had something they could eat. The nachos were ok if you like the yellow cheese on nachos. The chicken torta wasn't as good, was the chicken just shredded off a rotisserie chicken? The reason I give it a two star and not a one is because the salsa was good and the convenience of ordering online. Don't think I'll be eating here again. read more

I ordered a carnitas burrito & instead they gave me asada. I paid extra for avacado & didn't receive that either.

Simply the BEST! Love their breakfast combos & a la crema shrimp dinner plate!

Always had a good quick bite from here. Tacos, burritos and the quesadilla are all great for a fix...
