I completed the paperwork and signed basically an empty repair order with no estimate. When it was time to charge, he simply walked away and send his nice co-worker. Co-worker was nice. Co-worker asked for a credit card which I handed to him and then he stated $59.95, which was not what I was hoping to pay, but OK. So I asked what am I paying for, co-worker had no clue he called the rude guy back they guy said your vehicle failed the visual, but you must pay. Came in for a Smog Check, the guy took the key, came back and said your vehicle failed the visual and charged me $59.95. I do have a an aftermarket intake installed on the car which visible from a few seconds of popping the hood. He did pop the hood looked at it and yet continued with the smog even tough knew it was going to fail. I worked for Toyota for over 10 years in service department, and as a courtesy to a client, if we saw something like this, we would let the customers know, that regardless of the emission readings it would still fail. We would recommend the client to fix this before performing the smog. I would totally understand the charge for a Smog if everything look ok, but it failed because of an emission as you can not know that before you actually perform the test. Do NOT recommend!!! read more

Some sneaky thieves attempted to steal the catalytic converter on my vehicle. They went through and through and sawed the front and the back pipes and the catalytic converter was almost fully off. Luckily they did not get what they were searching for. My guess is my neighbors were having a party and they left and scared off the filthy in Vermin's while they were in the middle of the dirty deed. Luckily they did not return, but they did waste my money. Shame on you filthy vermin's. So I did a search on yelp and most of the shops in the area did mechanical work but not exhaust work. Luckily Sabi and his shop contacted me and had an opening. They got me in the same day and I only had to wait a short amount of time. Also after inspection they did quote me a higher price because they would have needed to remove parts surrounding the frame in the front of the catalytic converter in order to fully weld the pipe in front, but instead said they would work around it and get as much as they could weld up in the front ass well as the rear of the cat. They were able to do so, and do so for the quoted price and the cheaper price. Thank you so much for saving my Car. Would definitely do business with them again. read more

Not many places will smog check older vehicles. However, one business stood out. I placed a Yelp inquiry to see what Smog testing facilities that can Smog Check our 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 truck. Out of eight, only two replied. One was nearby and the other 30 miles away. Not only they were nearby, but the price was reasonable. The place is Super Smog in Concord, CA. The person who gave me the quote via Yelp message was Sabi! He was very knowledgeable and professional. I didn't need an appointment and was first come first service basis. I arrived at the shop the next morning and only took within 35 minutes to finish. The shop had good parking, wait room, and open. The technicians were detailed and honest. I never knew this place existed. I found it via Yelp and LivingSocial coupon. It looks like a gas station. They are very responsive via Facebook messenger and I made an appointment that way. They were timely enough with my oil change, and were done just before 6pm (they told me to come back at 5:45pm). They let me know that my air filter was dirty but did not try to force a sale. The whole thing took just under an hour and I went to McDonalds to get an iced coffee and get out of the heat. There's plenty of nearby places to shop and/or eat while you wait. They don't have a waiting room. There was a taco truck there on the evening that I brought my car in. I would bring my car here again. read more
