Very lazy worker there today. I brought in my G35 slightly modded (just intake and exhaust). He refused to smog it because he did not want to look into it! I had CARB stickers; all he had to do is punch it in. Besides it is $50 cash or $55 with credit card; that's a bunch of BS. Went across the street instead, nice people and all done for $45 without any bitching or whining. Good job super smog, keep loosing business! When I got the dreaded envelope from the Department of Motor Vehicles, A Public Service Agency, I ignored it for four weeks. It's not like I ever expect anything good to come from them, like a check for overpayment from years past. I finally got around to ripping it open to find that my yearly fees had gone down, whooo hooo! Then I noticed the big STOP! sign at the top of the letter, indicating that a SMOG certification was required. Oh hell, here we go... I called around and prices were all over the board. $68 for one station, $65 for another... then I stumbled upon Super Smog on Yelp. I gave them a call after reading the glowing reviews and made an appointment for 1 hour later. I was told that the fee would be $50 cash or $55 credit. No problem, I can appreciate a cash business from time to time *wink wink* I find a spot to park, and I stroll across the parking lot toward the entrance. I notice another lady who had hopped out of her car and proceeded to race to me to entrance. You know how some folks can be, gotta be first. I let her win. She steps in and doesn't bother to hold the door. Typical. She mentions to the agent that she needed a smog test, and he replied, "can you wait 15 - 20 mins? I have a 10:30 appointment, and if that person is late or doesn't show, I'll be with you." He then turns to me, "How can I help you?" I say, "Good morning, I'm you're 10:30 appointment..." Ha! Take that, take that, take that. $50 and 10 minutes later, i was out of there. Man, if all businesses ran like this and did what they were supposed to do, we'd all become so damn productive. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! 1st Test : I paid $46.75 with credit card and the result is a no-pass because the car was just fixed and the computer was rest. The owner did not notice the computer was just reset and said it's not his responsibility to know that before the check. Before leaving, the owner advised me to drive 50-60 miles and do a retest for 27 dollars. 2nd Test : Before the retest, I make sure I drove at least 100 miles streets and highway combined. The test result is again the computer is not ready and I paid another $17 for a failure result. Asking the owner why the computer is not ready even though I drove over 100 miles. He just simply replied that each car has different drive cycle and did not want to compensate a bit for the wrong information he gave me. Paid in total:$63 Result:No pass(computer is not ready) Test fee next time:$50 Take-away: If your car is old, stay away from this shop because you need to pay another 26 to do the retest and you only have one chance. After that, guess what, the price is back to $50 cash again. If your car is new, stay away from this shop too because you can surely find other smog test shops which offer half the price of this shop. You can argue that I did not do my parts well but I just want to say that's also the reason why I need a professional smog check technician to tell me the correct way to pass it and the experience I had and the way I was treated definitely did not validate it. read more

This place is a rip off. My truck pass smog but since I didn't have a carb sticker he failed my truck. Which I understand he's doing his job. What pisses me off is that he's making pay to get my truck re smog when I already pass the first time. I have the carb sticker on my intake now. A lot of places give you a free re test but this guy is just out to get your money. I'm never coming to this place again. I ended up paying 80 dollars plus certificate for everything which I was originally quoted for 50 dollars. Beware of this place. read more

The place is conveniently located, the guy who tested my car is quick and friendly. The parking lot is tight, as there are "reserved" spots for customers of other businesses. Notify the technician you want your car smog tested, find the parking space with the white sign saying it is reserved for Super Smog and idle there until he waves you in. The nice man at the counter took my DMV registration form and starting inputing my information in to his system. Told me the prices straight up, $50 cash and $55 with credit card. This is for the Smog Check btw. He took my keys and got my parked car in to the garage. He did the check so quick. It was definitely less than 10 minutes. I like how he got straight to the point! I've been here a few times over the years. Today I was in and out in around 10 minutes after a passing visual and OBDII inspection. It was $55 total charged to a credit card: $46.75 for the inspection, $8.25 for the State certificate, and $5 for using a credit card. Came here for the 3rd time today to get my wife's car smogged. 2 cars ahead of me and I'm still out of there in 25 minutes. There's a reason for all 5 star reviews and 1 fake review. PS: If you have a check engine light on, your car will auto fail a smog test. You either need it reset by an auto parts store, or address whatever is causing it to illuminate and have it fixed. read more

My only complaint is the extra $10 "research fee" to be sure my after-market air filter was legal, when it already had a CARB sticker for this, and the tech only did a one-minute Google search. Found this place on Yelp a couple of years ago. True to reviews, it was and still is efficient & well priced. I'll never go anywhere else. Even our Boxster, which is difficult to smog (a cover plate must be removed) was only a nominal fee on top of the reasonable smog rate.
