After stopping by a few other local smog test shops and being quoted anywhere from $60 to $100 (before certificate), I called AA Smog Test for pricing and drove right over. Got in and out in about 15 minutes. Fast and friendly service. Fair pricing and offers a discount for paying in cash. read more

this is the only place I go for smog. Ace is the best. He warned me the car would fail test since I just replaced the battery unless I drove it 100 miles or more. read more

The dreaded smog test can't be avoided but this place made it quick and simple without an appointment. Ace, thanks for the great service.

The owner charged me full price for smog check and DID NOT pass me. It is a code that I have to warm up my car 15 times and the code will go away and I will pass. And he asked me to come back and will charge again full price to pass me! OF COURSE, I found out later from another location. He should not have charged me anything if he does not pass me. Instead, let me drive the car some miles and warm up a few times, then come back and pay for the smog check. BUT, UNFORTUNATELY, HE IS TOO GREEDY! He is a fraud! Never come here! read more

Lots of smog checks to choose from. More than I realized. This place simply had the best deal (check their Yelp listing for a sweet deal). Was in and out within 10-15 minutes. Why go anywhere else? read more

Do not go here this guy Henry tries changing prices. Called to get a quote the guy doesn't even let me speak, tell him the year make and model and automatically says it's going to be 70$ Doesn't even let me tell him I have a coupon right in front of me that says 29.99$ for ANY CAR Then in a different style of the coupon , a different copy I should say, in small writing it says for cars 1996-1998 add 10$ okay whatever 39.99$ then it says trucks, vans, and suvs add 10$, okay 49.99$? Okay Henry Please tell me why you were trying to charge 70$ for a smog. Wow i can't believe my family sent me to you guys honestly. My advice to you guys get rid of that rude Henry , either change or get rid of your coupon false advertising that ANY CAR will be 29.99$, and let the customer talk next time. I'd leave no stars if I could. Worst experience. read more

I had called at the closing hours asking if they were busy. They were quick to respond and told me to come. I came and I made a lot of hiccups throughout my whole transaction but Ace took his time with me. He was able to be patient with me and explained the varied pricing options of the smog test. The test itself was quick. He had a great personality throughout the experience. read more

We highly recommend Ace at AA Smog Test Only. His garage/bay is clean and well organized. He is professional, knowledgeable, quick and efficient, friendly and did a quality job on preforming the smog test on our out of state car. He hand walked us through the document process on getting the car re registered at the local DMV office. We will definitely be taking all of our vehicles to Ace in the future for all of our smog test needs. S and J. Ashcraft read more

It is rare to find a service company that actually cares about its customers. Ace at AA Smog Test Only goes above and beyond what other smog services are willing to do. He makes sure that you don't waste your time or money if you've recently had a dead battery or a dash indicator light that will negatively impact the test. He advises you on what you need to do to get the computer corrected. I highly recommend using AA Smog. They have excellent and speedy service, and fair prices. read more

Ace is the best! Go here, or you're missing out! He has the best deal hands down in Orange County for a smog testing, and it's also a STAR station too. Ace was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. After we passed our smog, he was able to renew our registration fee and issue our tags to us right on the spot!!! It was so convenient! We won't be going anywhere else from now on... Thanks Ace! read more

Took my car here to get a smog check. The guy seemed nice enough, I guess. But in the middle of the check, he lead me to my car to show me that one of the parts in my car (air cleaner, I believe) isn't the original manufacturer part. He said, because of this, I would need some kind of aftermarket EO (executive order) sticker that basically says that it's been cleared, or something. I commented how I've taken in the car for multiple smog checks before, so I was a little confused why it's been fine before. He responded by asking if I paid off the people who've done the previous smog checks?! Um, no. I can make my peace with the fact that this part needs the certification sticker, but then after asking me if I've bribed people to pass me in the past, he proceeded to tell me he's going to fail the smog check and charge again me upon retesting. Since the problem was apparently obvious upon first looking under the hood, it seems somewhat underhanded to not outright say something and then just tell me I would fail if he were to check, then tell me to get the sticker and come back. I'm sure if there's nothing wrong or different with your car, then this guy wouldn't be too much trouble. Nice enough, though a little brash. But I won't come back. read more

Highly recommended if you enjoy bartering and being lied to. A thrill a minute! Me (on the phone): Are you still doing the $30 special? AA Smog: Yes. *Drive across town* AA Smog: We don't do the special anymore. It's $60. Me: I just talked to someone on the phone who told me it was $30. AA Smog: The best I can do for you is $40. Me: Okay. Hands me a bill for $50. Me: This isn't $40. And you billed me for parts. What parts? AA Smog: That's the government. We have no control over that. Isn't this fun????????? PS. Watch out for the cockroaches in the waiting room. read more

Fast service. Good value. The gentleman who tested my vehicle, Ace, was helpful and nice. Recommend

5-Stars really? Well, the Price, Speed, No-hassle made it a 5. I called around for prices and they stuck to their advertised deal, unlike most other smog test garages. I took in an E350 and some other garages charge extra for no reason. They were pleasant and fast. Waited for 1 car and i was out in 10min. Its a no frills small locale. read more

Had my car smog last year. I waited for the tags from the DMV and when they did not show up I was told they never received the electronic certificate from this smog station. The smog test had expired and when I called AA, I was accused of being a liar and he claimed this was impossible to had happen. I understand stuff happens and I was not looking for a freebie, but false accusations is a low blow for customer service. I will never return here nor do I recommend going here. read more
