I took my car in for a smog check at Speedy Smog and had an absolutely terrible experience. I usually take our cars to a more trusted and reliable place, but decided to give this place a try since it's right next to the carwash we often use. Big mistake. When I first called to inquire about much it would cost to smog my car, the exact price I was given was $68. He told me I could pay him $60 cash out the door. I told him I had a $10 coupon, to which he responded with a new price of $58. I asked him why it wasnt $50 with the coupon if I payed cash, his only response was that $58 is the final price. His math totally didn't make any sense and made me feel like he was trying to trick me by being dishonest about pricing and coupons. Regardless, we mistakenly still decided to go do a smog check at Speedy Smog and give them a chance. To make a long story short, our car ended up not passing smog. The technician was condescending and rude. Just generally really unpleasant to deal with. If you visit this place, go at your own discretion. This technician is very unprofessional and argumentative based off my experience. In my opinion, he probably cant get along well with other people in general, that is why I assume he works alone. Remember, most cars easily pass smog. So people don't have to interact much with this guy. Just in and out. Hence, the positive reviews. But if you car has any smog issues, God help you. The technician will be rude to you, charge you, rush you out the door, and move on to another customer. You would be a fool to gamble and take your car here. You can't trust this place. There are many better smog places around. Stay away! read more

Service was immediately done. No waiting. While completing the smog check, the Technician saw that I had run over some paint in the road and cleaned it off my side door. I called ahead to see if they were busy as I was on a little bit of a time constraint. Vinh answered the phone and told me they were not busy at the moment and to come right in. When I got there, Vinh greeted me and took my car back immediately and got the Smog check going. He was very polite, friendly and professional. I was in and out in about 10 minutes!
