Above & beyond quality service. This place is awesome! I was having a very rough day, a string of bad luck I guess. I ended up at Speedy Smog in Mission Viejo after going to another smog place that said they couldn't do my smog check because the DMV will randomly assign you to needing a star smog check vs. a regular smog check. I wasn't even aware of that. I was a little annoyed that I had to then go to another smog place as I was limited on time but it turned out to be a total blessing in disguise. When I arrived the guy was able to take me right away. He was so kind as he noticed a little stained area on my car and showed me what to use to get it off. I have already tried everything so this made me very happy to hear. He told me what to get but then went ahead and gave me some of it to take with me to use. It had absolutely nothing to do with a smog check so it was incredible to me that he went out of his way by noticing and helping me. *On a side note, while waiting to have my car smogged, I noticed a magazine that caught my eye. It was the story of Billy Graham. I started reading the article and before I knew it my car was done. When I drove away the first car driving it front of me had a sticker that said "Jesus sees you." I happened to have have a Christian radio station playing because as I said, rough day, no joke, the song ends, and the lady on the radio says, "If you're going through a tough time, God is listening, he catches every single tear' So weird!!! read more

I took my car in for a smog check at Speedy Smog and had an absolutely terrible experience. I usually take our cars to a more trusted and reliable place, but decided to give this place a try since it's right next to the carwash we often use. Big mistake. When I first called to inquire about much it would cost to smog my car, the exact price I was given was $68. He told me I could pay him $60 cash out the door. I told him I had a $10 coupon, to which he responded with a new price of $58. I asked him why it wasnt $50 with the coupon if I payed cash, his only response was that $58 is the final price. His math totally didn't make any sense and made me feel like he was trying to trick me by being dishonest about pricing and coupons. Regardless, we mistakenly still decided to go do a smog check at Speedy Smog and give them a chance. To make a long story short, our car ended up not passing smog. The technician was condescending and rude. Just generally really unpleasant to deal with. If you visit this place, go at your own discretion. This technician is very unprofessional and argumentative based off my experience. In my opinion, he probably cant get along well with other people in general, that is why I assume he works alone. Remember, most cars easily pass smog. So people don't have to interact much with this guy. Just in and out. Hence, the positive reviews. But if you car has any smog issues, God help you. The technician will be rude to you, charge you, rush you out the door, and move on to another customer. You would be a fool to gamble and take your car here. You can't trust this place. There are many better smog places around. Stay away! read more

I called ahead to see if they were busy as I was on a little bit of a time constraint. Vinh answered the phone and told me they were not busy at the moment and to come right in. When I got there, Vinh greeted me and took my car back immediately and got the Smog check going. He was very polite, friendly and professional. I was in and out in about 10 minutes! I went online and sent myself the $10 off coupon, which he gladly accepted no issues. He also noticed a big spider web on my side view mirror and cleaned it all off for me without saying anything to me, and I noticed once I drove away that he had done that. This is my 2nd time visiting Speedy Smog and it definitely won't be my last. I will recommend Vinh/Speedy Smog to all friends and family. Great experience. read more
