The experience you get is hit or miss. The guy was rude with me so I left but he was nice to the lady right after me. I have only been here once before this and they quoted me a price higher but they did honor the coupon from Yelp after I showed them. This time same thing happened, they first quoted me higher, I show them the Yelp coupon but was told not it's more expensive now. I called to ask how long the wait was. At the time there was no one. I was 10 minutes away. He took one car while I drove but kept my place in line. I was second. All together it was about 40ish minutes total time there. Price was as stated on the website with some additional fee which is always added. Around $47 out the door. The smog tester and cashier were very friendly. There was a man there who was upset because I was taken before him though the tester tried to tell him I called prior and that's why I was before him. An absolute joke of a place... unprofessionalism at its finest. Went in for a smog check that was due to renew my registration. Upon arrival, the man in charge asks me if my car is modified. I truthfully answer that all the modifications are purely cosmetic and nothing has been done to the engine and its components. The car was always serviced at the local Toyota dealership. He then proceed to make me pull my car into his shop, while being on the phone and did not tell me to stop in time and made me scratch my front lip... He proceeds to pop the hood and looks at it and says: "This is not a Mazda engine, I don't know this engine, I cannot do it, I am a human being I don't know everything." Irrelevant point since the car is a Scion, and I never claimed it to be a Mazda. But if you only do certain engines or car makes, maybe you should advertise that on your shop/website... But I came in for a smog check, which consists of plugging in an OBD2 sensor and have their software/system read through the ECU of the car. Everything is done by the software and not the actual individual. So I bring him this point and he says I do not know what I am talking about. Funny coming from a guy who confuses a Scion for a Mazda... It is even funnier since I have been working on cars and in the automotive industry for years, so I think I would know a thing or two about the subject. Anyways we go back and forth and then he proceeds to ask me to leave by saying "I am a human being I don't know this engine. Do you know anything about medicine? No you're a human being too you don't know everything so I don't ask you about medicine, so don't ask me about this engine." Whatever this guy was on, I will tell my future kids to never touch that. Cruised by today because I needed to get my truck smogged - this place was recommended by a family member, as it's one of the cheapest places in the area with the coupon. Was super skeptical after reading these 1-star reviews, but decided to print out their coupon and give them a shot. Bay was empty, owner (?) saw me arriving and had me park inside. Told him I had a coupon, showed it to him, and he told me it'd be $48 (+$10 for truck, +$8.25 for cert if vehicle passes...stated in the coupon). I said alright and let him run the smog test. He calls me over about 10-15 minutes later to tell me I passed, I head over to the gas station cashier, pay the $48, thank the dude, and go about on my way with my smog certificate. The owner was blunt but cordial, was not rude at all like everyone else was saying. I'm not here to get Chick-fil-a level service, guy was straight up and handled business. Read the fine print on the $29.95 coupon and make sure you show it to the person testing your vehicle and not the cashier. You know, the person that actually takes the payment. Otherwise they charge you full price of almost $70 and won't honor the coupon and play dumb. Although I should have read the coupon more clearly beforehand, I feel this is their tactic to get the full price. Hoping people assume they show the coupon to THE PERSON THEY ARE PAYING instead of the person testing the car so they can get full price. I went in on a weekday at 5:30pm, half hour before they close. There was no other car there, so I was able to pull right up. I presented my printed out coupon to Mike and he gladly accepted it. He wrote up the estimate, which came out to $38.20 with the certificate, exactly as promised on the coupon. My car is a 2011 Corolla, so no extra charges for being older than 2000 or being a larger vehicle as stated on the coupon. Mike was friendly during the whole test and was done by 5:42pm. Less than 15 minutes from start to finish! The Corolla passed with no issues. Pain free and easy. I'll be back for future smog checks. read more

NO INCLUDED RETESTS WITH COUPON. Sorry to anyone who may have gone to this place to get their smog check based on my glowing review (maybe I give myself too much credit). I won't be returning to this place and to even out my now 2 reviews, they get 1 Star. The coupon does not include a retest, and the technicians do not all know that and will tell you that you get a free retest! How I found out: I used the coupon here on my visit 1.5 weeks ago. I failed the test and was told by the technician that I got 1 included retest. I got the car fixed and returned after driving the car for a few days. Although I didn't have to pay full price for the retest, just half, I was under the impression that they were going to include a retest when I failed my first test, being that was what the technician told me when it failed. Nope. The technician, a different guy, although very nice, said this second test was only half the regular cost ($20) but when I said I was told I had 1 included retest I was told, no, there was no included retest. I talked to the manager and explained, he just told me he didn't know why the previous technician had told me that and restated the amount I owed. Not sure why they don't tell you that you get 1 half-price retest when you use the coupon. That would seem fair. Shame on them, shady. Not going back here. But if anything, I am glad that I now know to ask the next place that has a coupon if they include retests - and I will probably request that in writing!! read more

The smog test got done. But my inspector was not customer service oriented. He seemed more entertained with being on the cell phone and made faces when I wanted to ask him questions. Absolutely the rudest, least professional A-hole owner of the attached mobile station. If I could give zero stars that would still be far too much credit for this idiot. I am pretty easy going and understanding. I have worked in the service industry and treat people with kindness, respect, and almost never complain. So in summary, it pissed me off bad enough to leave this glowing review. The man actually doing the test was nice. The owner, as I'm waiting for my car, comes out and rudely tells me and my sons to leave the area in front of the Mobil station. I explained I was getting my car smogged and I am a paying customer. We were drinking Gatorade that my son just purchased from him. ( he also overcharged him on the drinks) We were literally within 10 ft of my car.
