We had a major, nasty sewer backup disaster and first thing, had the septic tanks emptied. That didn't help and even when we rented a router and went through the lines ourselves, there was still a blockage somewhere. Our lines are old, somewhat piecemeal and troublesome. We called SSP and they came out the next day. Ramzi and his assistant spent almost all afternoon seeking the hidden blockage and kept at it until he got things flowing again. Sink hopelessly clogged and reached out to a few plumbers on Yelp. Super Service responded right away, and about 90 min. later I had someone out here snaking the drain. They have a minimum fee which covers the first hour, and I was told if they got it sorted within that hour there would be no additional fee. I know they can't predict what will happen but it's nice to have a clear pricing understanding from the start. He got it unclogged inside of an hour, so it was just that base fee. Very friendly and kept the area clean despite a lot of standing water, etc. Two hours for the whole experience - what more can you ask for? read more

3/8/23 I contacted SSP for a clogged toilet backing up into the shower in our front bathroom. Making contact with the office at SSP(Vicky), to Ramzi our service tech was seamless. Ramzi was unable to complete the repair on 3/8, but cut the estimate in half which was a plus for us as the consumer. After deliberation with Ramzi on 3/8, the rest of the repair would be done on 3/9. Ramzi and Paul showed up at 9:30a and were gone by 11:50a, the job completed. The nice thing about SSP, they didn't push agenda, they suggested other things that could be done, but when we told them 'No' they accepted that and didn't pressure. We have used SSP for plumbing jobs for many years, and will continue to use them as long as there are toilets that need flushing!!!!! read more

We have lived in our house for 30 years and had a hydroponic heater system which requires a specialized technician and Dave is the only one we trust with attending to this system. Last year, I called in the morning and Dave was here right away to take photos and specs for the existing water heater. By contacting Vicky she was able to have an identical unit delivered and Dave installed it that afternoon and removed the old unit much to our delight. I had a drip leak in my shower faucet and I was aware that it maybe caused by an old posi-temp cartridge. The plumber from this company agreed with my assessment but told me they'll still charge $185 diagnostic fees. They also said that there will be a charge to bring needed tools to the site (Allen ranch set, couple of screw drivers and a plier) and a charge for the new cartridge and it's installation. The cartridge costs $31. I agreed to pay the said charges. But then they tried to install a used, discolored catridge with visible patina deposits. When I asked him about it, they said the catridge is brand new, just out of the package. Attached are the pics of catridges. First is the one from the faucet, and 2nd is the "brand new" catridge that was right out of the package. I told them not to install the catridge as it looks old and because I feel cheated, I'll not proceed with the transaction. They left the site as it was, main turned off and the faucet dissembled. I had to get a new catridge and complete the installation on my own. I contacted the business owner and they said the catridge looks brand new to them. read more

They answered the phone first thing in the morning and were helpful to talk to. They came when they said and snaked down the vent. That helped but it turned out the sewer line was not the problem - it was our septic tank. So what did I pay for courteous service and some good help? Nothing!! They wouldn't even take our money that I agreed on the phone to for the very reasonable call-out cost ($34.95) because they could not solve our problem (they don't pump septic tanks). After the gas was turned off in Windsor due to the horrific fires for nearly a week PGE came through to re-lit and verify unit by unit. Mine was red flagged because a plumber who had 'repaired' my water heater broke out the piece of protective glass two years prior in order to light the pilot. I never knew this until PGE red flagged it. I called Super Service Plumbing, where Peter pulled up schematics on this water heater and had to order some parts which were slowed down in arriving because of the wildfires. This State/Apollo water heater which is connected to my heating system required 'special kits' not generic parts which were ordered. Paul F. came out as soon as the parts were in. Paul was respectful, courteous, polite and very professional. Cannot say enough good about this company! I highly recommend them. read more

We had a water main pressure reduce valve fail and Bryan, the technician came out and not only fixed the pressure reducer but also was able to put in a new main shut off valve and clean up some other work which was going to fail eventually. We needed a new pump for a radiant floor heating system. They charged us to install a new one. The problem still wasn't fixed but we knew it involved a second step of installing a new water heater for the system. They quoted us $10k for the new water heater. We went somewhere else for another quote and were told it would be $6,600. Upon installing the new water heater, the new guys found the 'new' pump that Super Service installed was not turned on and when activated, it leaked. We contacted Super Service and asked for a refund. They only refunded $150 for the pump, not the cost to install it. They have a long wait times before they come out and overcharge. Find someone else. read more

As invariably happens, the bath and the sink plugged at the same time, on a Sunday morning. I called several plumbers: Super Service Plumbing (SSP) called back promptly, and was the only one to do so. Five stars there. I was quoted the breathtaking price of $387 to come look at the problem. Repairs could run $500. Whaddya do? My wife can't use the bushes. So I said "OK." The serviceman arrived promptly. He was clean and courteous. By the time he arrived I'd managed to unplug the toilet, so the only problem was the sink. Fortunately, there was an under-sink cleanout, so he was able to snake the problem in less than ten minutes. All fixed and gone in a half hour. $387.78, a lower price because I'd solved half the problem myself. I'll give SSP five stars for prompt response, clean and competent tech, and fixing the problem on the first try. I'll give them one star for cost of service. Thus 3 stars. Next time the pipes plug I'll send the wife to Starbucks to use the can, rent a snake, and fix the problem myself. We're a living-on-Social-Security couple, and nearly $400 for that simple repair just crippled the budget. read more

Super Service is a misnomer if there ever was one. The "technician" was unable to find the main line clean out. He then said he had a Dr. appointment so he left and never returned, after saying we should not use the toilets or the showers. Calls to their dispatcher about our dire emergency were miss-handled. I called the office about 9 a.m., and Paul F. came by about 1:30 p.m. He was friendly and highly efficient. Paul was able to replace a hose bib to eliminate a leak which had been driving our water usage up to unsatisfactory levels. He also checked the main meter and discovered no additional leaks! Paul also had some useful advice about water usage in general. Next time we have a plumbing problem, we will certainly call Super Service. read more

We needed a plumber out last minute for a potential leak - our hardwood floor had some damage. Someone came out within an hour and helped pull out the refrigerator and dishwasher to see if the leak was coming from there, then checked all around the sink area. They were very thorough! He even went out front to check the water meter to see if it was running while our water was off. We didn't find a leak and hope it was just a spill. The tech wouldn't even take payment from us. Wow! I told office staff I wanted a quote to video my sewer line, from the street and from the toilets. I was quoted about $550, and was told the final cost would be based upon what the service person sees. I set up an appointment. Service man came on time, I repeated what I wanted, and was quoted $600. OK by me. He did a good job scoping the line, and showing me problems. Once the sewer line was done, he said the video from the toilets would be extra, since they had to remove and reinstall the toilet. Doing the 2 toilets would be about the same as the original video quote. So I had to pass on full video I was expecting. I feel it was less than honest to give me 2 quotes (office and on the spot) and change it. If I had known the toilets needed to be removed in order for him to do his work I could have done that earlier. This past week a representative from Super Service Plumbing arrived at my residence for the purpose of making a minor repair at an exterior faucet. In total, only one part was necessary to make the repair, that being a brass nipple. Also, the plumber took less than one hour to complete the job. Nevertheless, I was charged $238.10. I might I was charged this sum after the plumber initially said the job would cost approximately $330.00. After seeing how upset I was with such an outrageous bid,, he lowered the cost of the repair by approximately one hundred dollars. Main Sewer line clogged and a team came out to clear. Elderly renter was occupying property. Rather than go on roof to clear the line, they punctured the clean out (requiring replacement), charged $395 rather than $140-160 other companies charged for cleaning out the line in the past. At the end of the procedure, they bid $810 to put in new clean out after "destroying" perfectly good clean out. Would never hire again. read more

Very nice, clean, on time and friendly tech. Mike was clear with regards to pricing during the work. Since, this was my first major plumbing issue, I assumed pricing was normal. However, after discussing with additional plumbers, this pricing was very high. Install two way clean out and snake and camera the line, $1,460 for about 3 hours of work. I spoke to the office manager and he said that pricing sounded right. Then he went on to say that they are a big company and have lots of overhead. I guess they charge their clients hundreds of dollars more for their overhead. My advice, get multiple quotes. read more

Best experience I've had any where with any service company!! We could not find a sewer service that was any where close to a reasonable price. Most were $400 to $800 for less than 2 hours work. We couldn't afford it or wait the 2 + days for it -- we couldn't flush the toilets. Finally, a plumber recommended Super Service to us. Be careful when you speak to the dispatchers, try to understand the best you can what they can do for you otherwise you may end up wasting 35 dollars for them to visit you and give an exorbitant estimate for something you don't even want, for example I want my main sewage line cleared out, not running a snake into the wall. The quote for the kitchen sink upward of 250 dollars! and having no idea what to charge (but I suspect a lot of money) for doing the same in the pedestal sink in the bathroom.
