I had a leak in my plumbing. They did a repair, but the area was still leaking so they came out and did another "repair" for an extra $875 and this still did not fix the problem, in fact it became worse (see video). The repair man claimed he had tested the pipes to confirm the repair fixed the problem when clearly he had not. Even though that $875 had a 1 year warranty on the invoice, they did not honor the warranty. They gave me another invoice for $675 that notably had no mention of a warranty anymore. When I called to discuss this with a supervisor, he interrupted me and became extremely agitated. I asked him his name and he yelled "[expletive] you, that's my name." He then proceeded to threateningly ask if I would be home for him to see me in person. I would seriously caution against doing business with this company. See also a photo of the pipe that was leaking, the other company I called fixed it for $310. How could "Super Plumbers" have checked their work and verified it was fixed when the pipe is like this? If I could give it zero, I would have!! I had issues w water coming out from under my baseboard. A lot of water. We have a home warranty and they sent these lying bozos over. Yes, we had a stoppage in the kitchen drain. Then he puts the camera down the pipe that leads to the septic tank.He informs me that the pipe is broken at 2 ends at the couplets. "It doesn't even look like it was glued" this septic tank is only 2 years old. He said to fix this it would be $3500.00, which the bc home warranty wouldn't cover it because it's on the outside. So I called the guy that installed the tank, Carlos Gomez with Big C Septic. He is AMAZING. After I called him he was here in 20 minutes digging up the line. He was embarrassed because he takes pride in his work. He dug the pipe up where the "plumber" said it was broken. Guess what? Fully intact. The only thing wrong, the tank needed cleaning. I've never had a septic tank and I didn't know it needed to be pumped every 12 to 18 months for a family of my size. Plumber didn't even look look at the tank. The a/c and bathroom upstairs were leaking somehow into the downstairs living room. On two occasions a guy showed up with a very distasteful attitude, very arrogant and rude and was present maybe 5-10 min max to fix an issue. He blamed the issue on other things after he claimed he fixed it and was less than helpful or willing to do his job. I had never heard of the company before and I can understand why. Avoid at all costs. We did not choose this company, our Home Warranty Company did. One of our toilets was running, so Super Plumbers sent a tech out. The tech said they had to order parts because our existing Jacuzzi system needed to be completely replaced. i have used super plumbers many times over the years and have always been pleased with their service. HOWEVER, today I felt like I was taken advantage of. I was charged $170 for a 5 minute service call to relight my pilot light on my hot water heater. It would have been $200 but they were offering $25 service call fee instead of $50 for returning customers. I'm guessing that was the easiest and quickest $170 they've earned all month. One price quoted when they began, and another price quoted when they told me they could figure out the problem but that I owed them more money. Go anywhere other than Super Plumbers. They told me to let them come back the next day and for $300 they'd see IF they could figure out the problem. I called a different plumber and for free he made a recommendation. So I rented a drain snake from Home Depot and fixed the problem myself in an hour. Earlier in May, we had Super Plumbers come out to help with a leak that was running under the furnace. The gentleman was fairly friendly, came in and looked for a blockage in the washer line (not at all where the leak was coming from)... berated me and said our entire issue was from washing dog bedding (which I do rarely in the washer and always clean the washer after doing so)... I told him that I thought it was the condensation line UNDER THE FURNACE... WHERE THE LEAK WAS -- and he essentially ignored me. He "finished his work", we paid them $250, and he left. The next morning, we had a flooded hallway yet again. When we called to ask them to come back out they told us it would be a $75 charge to look at it plus any other parts and labor. THEN, they waited a week and a half to cash our check. This company is painfully unprofessional. Oh, and one of your competition came out tonight. Like the other victim of these people who posted here, American Home Shield sent these clowns to me. I had a problem with a gasket in the toilet in my guest bedroom. I also had a sink handle that had worn in a half-bath. They sent out a guy who was here a total of 15 minutes, fiddled around with the toilet a few minutes then told us that he'd "have to call it in" to AHS to get approval. He apparently said in his "notes" that he told us not to use the facility. THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE! He said no such thing to any of us. We knew he didn't fix that toilet so we didn't use that. But we had no reason no to use the water in the rest of the house, which we of course proceeded to do. NOW our bathroom is flooded and the carpeting in three rooms damaged. They claim to be a 24/7 service. When I FINALLY got through to the manager (owner?) he told me: "Yeah, that's for retail. It'll cost you a lot of money to have us come out now." Now keep in mind - we had NO flooding until this guy visited our house! Apparently, the guy who came out originally never even called AHS. He only did so after I called to follow up on the flooding. When he did call them, he LIED again saying the damage to my sink handle was caused by "excessive force." Right. But I could live with that lie. The other one, though is going to wind up costing me thousands of dollars. WHY would we use our shower and washing machine if this guy ever told us not to? So here I sit, 3 days after their visit with wet carpet, a clogged bathtub, unable to use my facilities anywhere, and having to find another plumber to fix the mess these fools made. Before they visited. I had a toilet I couldn't use. After their visit I have a house full of plumbing I can't use. It was really tricky and they had to do extra work to get it done (pipe took a left toward the front yard instead of a right to the septic tank). Worst experience ever! Was found through my home warranty company! I had a toilet draining from the pipe behind the wall, which ultimately ended up flooding my bedroom! The plumber flushed that same toilet ONE time and it didn't leak but it still wasn't flushing properly. I then told him I had a septic tank and I told him where i thought it was, when in fact it was the drainage tank from my kitchen, he looked at that tank and said it was full and then told me I needed someone to come drain the septic tank. Was maybe here 15 minutes total and I had to pay the $75 service fee. My toilet still does not flush properly. Once the septic people got here they told me that was not my septic tank and was actually just my kitchen drainage tank! These gentlemen had to search for my septic tank and ultimately ended up having to dig it up. Which also ended up not being full!! So I still have a toilet I can not use until I get another plumber out here to assess the actual problem so that my house doesn't flood again. A complete waste of money! Referred to "Super Plumber" from my home warrantee company. Kitchen faucet broke and needed to be replaced. I was scheduled 6 days from the time I called. Even though it was not an emergency I requested that they schedule me sooner because of the inconvenience of not having water in the sink. They did not accommodate me. The inexperienced technician who responded could not tell the difference between a 14 year old faucet who's time had come, from one broken acutely (excessive force) which the warrantee company does not cover. When questioned about his judgement, I was scolded that I should have called a plumber sooner. So for a service call of less than 10 minutes (actual time) I had to pay a $75 service fee. Called Super Plumbers to fix a clogged sink. After $700+ the sink still would not drain. They tell me they will have to bust up slab for $1800 to $2500 and there is no other way to fix it. They tell me they understand if I want to get a second opinion and if any other plumber can fix it they will reimburse my bill. Well ... I called another company and you guessed it, they unclogged it. Their bill was around $500, no slab busting. Called Super Plumbers back about the reimbursement and now they are saying I'm trying to extort money from them by going online with my complaints (I swear I'm not making that up). The receptionist who booked us said we would not be charged a trip charge if we accepted their bid. This entire experience turned out to problematic. We had a 3:00 appointment in Henderson ( 40 minutes from us) they were courteous enough to call that they were running behind and rescheduled us for 4:30. We arrived at 4:25 and they were there. The boss said they waited on us 45 minutes. We came at the time they told us, also they had a key to get inside to see what needed to be done. They 2 plumbers were courteous and seemed knowledgeable. The repairs required they cutting into the exterior siding, and we had already agreed to do the repairs for putting it back together. They took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get the job finished, and it all seemed good. Apparently there was some miscommunication about their " bid" between the plumber and my husband, I did not hear it. They stuck us for $750. My husband paid it first and then signed the invoice.He didn't want to cause a stink, but decided to contact the owner to discuss the excessive charge. The receptionist would not give me his number,so I contacted the state board that regulates plumbers. She said they are required to itemize the bill, which was not done. The owner said she was wrong. They agreed to reimburse us the $75.00 trip fee. I'm in construction and I know the rates in Tyler. This was highway robbery and we feel taken advantage of. Lesson learned! I'll never use them again or any plumbers that charge a flat rate. They have to bid it high when they haven't gotten into the work. It's a guessing game for them . They should change their name to $$$uper Plumber$$$$. The owner basically said the price stayed the same... so you keep our money and enjoy your first and last experience with us. Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me. I should have known better when I was told a flat rate and a$75 fee to even bid it. I wish I had seen all the reviews on here first. Use someone who charges an hourly and itemizes material costs. Stay away from this company. I've contacted the board again to see if I have any recourse. I had no luck with Super Plumbers. They were called by the home warranty co. Adam came out and could not find the clean out so I had to pay $250 for him to pull the toilet to clean the sewer line. There were women and children living in the house and had waited for two days without plumbing for super plumbers to get there. I told Adam to do what ever he needed and to call me when he was finished. The next morning I was called by the tenants and told it still wasn't draining. I called Adam he gave a bunch of excuses and told me he wasn't going to stand behind his work. I called my regular plumber. He found the cleanout in just a few minutes and cleaned the sewer line for about the same money as I had already paid Super Plumbers to not do the job. Super Plumbers was a waste of time and money. Just call a reputable plumber. They too attacked me because I was upset that they left the job undone and didn't call to tell me they didn't do the repair and just left the house full of women and children with no plumbing. read more
