This store is clean and (mostly) well run, with easy access from the freeway to people can easily find it and shop here. The only issues I have are; 1) The prices. The prices are, even for a small feed store, very high. The foods and litters I have gotten in the past run 10% or more higher than other locations I have shopped at. They also do price matching, but for some reason specifically not to stores I shop at (chewy.com has the food I get at $26.99 + 0% tax with free shipping if I buy 2 bags, where this store has it at $34.99 + tax). I will wait a day or two for the shipped items to get to me if I can save something like 25% or more. 2) Making custom orders isn't always guaranteed While the store carries our brand, they do not carry the specific formula that we use for our pets. This means we like to special order the items when there will be some sort of sale/promotion going on and pick up the food then. Only that instead of holding on to the items, they put them out onto the shelf where other people can buy them, instead of holding onto them for us. This has happened multiple times. So even though the staff seems nice and moderately knowledgeable about pet products in general, It is hard to shop here when I buy items on a steep sale, end up still paying more ($3-4) than if I bought them in my normal fashion, it isn't even guaranteed I will get the items I special ordered. Writing this I almost ended up dropping the stars to 2 after thinking back, but it is a nice store, and *some* items are fairly priced. read more

Just stopped in to see what this store had to offer. Staff was nice, I was greeted as I walked in and asked if I needed anything. I was initially looking at the fish and tanks because I've been considering getting a fish. A good selection of products. Super Pets in Orange is great! Very friendly staff and manage; they are always willing to help and will even take requests if you don't see an item. Often, the manager will order a bunch so they can add it to their stock. Only negative is that they are more expensive than other stores of their caliber. Pet Supply and Feed in Anaheim has better prices, but is further from me, so Super Pets does make a great alternative. I'd probably spend the difference in gas anyway. read more

I absolutely love this pet store! They had a anniversary weekend sale for 20% off for everything throughout the store. Well, I hate to say this but, this store has a lot of ugly animals. I only found one cute rabbit so I bought it! The manager was very helpful, I appreciate her service. She explained everything well, helped me buy the things that my bunny needed, and she even gave me free items for my pet! Her generosity was unbelievable! Every employee are the same too! read more

If I could have given this store no stars I would have. We purchased a snake here as a birthday gift for our daughter. It has been ONE month and the snake DIED!!! We have been snake owners for years and NEVER have had a snake die after one month. When I went in to see what the store could do they pretty much the GM, a short Asian ethnicity guy...I didn't get his name, said sorry about my luck. The GM is a JOKE!! The other staff was great and nice but nice employees do not make up for the fact that they sell bad quality reptiles. If you want a snake buy from a reptile expo, like we have done with all of our other snakes, shame on us for shopping here but shame on this store and their joke of a GM. read more

Super Pets grooming department super SUCKS! I had an appointment @ 2pm for my small chi-poo mix to get groomed. 5pm rolls around and I'm getting I worried so I call. The groomer gives me some lame excuses and tells me that he hasn't even started on my dog yet! 3 HOURS LATER AND THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING?! Now very furious, I tell them not to touch my dog because I'm picking her up. I arrive to the store to see my dog shaking and scared. She had been left in a cage for 3 hours with no room to stretch and no food or water. What the hell? I complain to the groomer and the manager who couldn't care less. What's the point of an appointment?! They offer a discount for next time. There will most definitely not be a next time. If you love your pets, just don't go there. I used to really love this place. Used to get great service and everything. Can't say that's how it is anymore. I went in a couple days ago and got a feeder rat. Which I know aren't meant to be pets but they took me to the room they store them in and there was a dead one which the person helping me picked up and threw away. I get it animals die but it was little off putting that he just up and threw it in the trash right behind me. They put the rat I got in a paper bag which is fine as they aren't meant to be pets but they have boxes to put hamsters in that they sell and birds so I was kind of off put by that but it wasn't a huge deal. I went up to pay for the cage I got and the food, etc. The girl was busy looking at her phone and texting so I waited for probably five minutes before she finished. While bagging my stuff she put the rat in the brown bag into a plastic bag....and was dropping items around it. So I quickly took her out of the plastic bag. This review is probably all over the place I'm just pretty astounded. Well I've had her about 3-4 days and now she's given birth. I was told the pregnant ones were kept separate from the others and didn't want a pregnant one. Now I've got a rat with a litter of babies. Will not be coming back in the future. Now that I am going out of my way to go to this store I decided it is time to give them a review. I have Petco one big city block away from me but I find that Super Pets is worth the drive because it has everything I need always in stock with good pricing. The biggest draw for me right now are the bully bones. Petco sells out and have a limited selection but I love the prices and selection at Super Pets. I need a new doggie halter and I remember seeing a great selection at a price of 19.99 at Super Pets. read more

I moved and had been a loyal customer to a previous local pet food store that was farther away. When I came in the first thing they said was we have a loyalty program and after a certain amount of bags of food, you'll get a bag free. We keep track of it. They were helpful but nothing out of the ordinary. Most times, I walk in and out without anyone helping or asking me if I need it. Today after over a year and some change I asked how I was doing with my progress.....oh no the loyalty program is 5 dollars each 100. You have to cut out the Barcodes and send it in for the free bag. Not the best in knowing their merchandise, small, and definitely not Centinela. I will drive back to my old store. read more

They have a great selection of dog supplies (and cats, birds and hamsters). They have a majority of the items that the two main chain pet stores have but has additional nick knacks that are rare to find. The prices are good and reasonable. The nicest part is the selection of food treats from mainstream "everyone knows these brands" to off brands that look interesting and can't wait to take home to my dog since he is soooo picky. The animals are not cared for at all except with regard to cleaning their cages. The cages are kept "clean", but the cleaning is done inattentively so that it disrupts the animal's ability to access the water or to stretch out fully in the tiny space it is alloted. A few days ago the staff watched and laughed with the customers as two birds fought over a small piece of food in their shared cage. The manager was present at the time but the manager did nothing to control the situation. This was not playing. It was war, and I couldn't watch very much of it. I had to leave. Frequently I see dog owners bring in dogs who lift their legs and repeatedly urinate on the same two spots at the front of the store. No effort is ever made by the dog owners or the management to clean these areas. The owners often freely roam around the store with their dogs as if they were in a dog park. Occasionally people bring in large unleashed dogs who naturally try interact with one or more of the other dogs. I think it is only a matter of time before someone or someone's dog gets badly hurt. Frequently I have observed that the animals: 1) run out of food and water, and the pellets are allowed to become stale or contaminated with feces for days on end 2) are deprived of hay and other necessities for grinding down their teeth, forcing the animals to gnaw on whatever is available to keep their continuously growing teeth short 3) are kept in unsuitable bedding that is known to cause respiratory problems and illness - and I have seen a couple of animals with drippy eyes and noses 4) are forced to eat the pine shavings bedding out of hunger and lack of dietary variety Customer are allowed to injure and frighten the animals. Bonded pairs are split up. The animals are kept in extremely crowded and exposed conditions, leaving skittish depressed animals for other unsuspecting people to come in and buy. The best advice I can give is that this is a nice place to buy supplies when they are having a sale and you have a ready supply of hand sanitizer, but I don't recommend buying any live animals. In one way or another all of these animals have been neglected by the generally ignorant staff, ignored by the disinterested management who is too busy flirting with the high school aged staff, or mishandled by strangers who treat the store like a petting zoo for the small children. I have many more points I could make, but I won't. I am sure "animal people" already have a general idea. read more

I love going here! High quality products for just about every animal. My personal favorite thing about this place is their amazing selection of fresh water fish for your aquarium. You will be amazed at their selection! I could spend hours looking at all the fascinating creatures. By far one of the best in Orange County. Their staff is amazing, especially the man who helped me and my son in the fish dept. He was so helpful and enthused to help us build our aquarium. I have shopped here for about 6 months for our labrador. I have always found them to be extra helpful and they have spent extra time with me when trying to figure out a new dog food for her. I have always been able to talk to someone in the store when I go that knows a lot about dog foods. They seem to care. I only wish they did sales more often as the two they do every year always fall on weekends we have already scheduled annual events. I have not extensively price compared, but today did compare with the independent pet shop I used to go to and they are $5 cheaper on a 25# bag. Nice, every bit helps. Oh, and they are great about pet food returns when I had an issue with my dog on one of the foods. read more

This business just seriously jacked up their prices by about 25 percent! I will sadly no longer afford to shop here anymore. I can get a comparable dry cat food for 25 dollars to their 40 at Walmart! I like to support local business, but at this point they are just being greedy. I have a harem of cats and love their variety of dry food. Another issue I have is they do not sell the wet food I use as a package deal, and only individual, to capitalize on their profits. To the owner, maybe you should care more about your customer loyalty instead of being greedy! I can go to PetCo and get the same brands for cheaper, and not to mention, much cheaper at Walmart! Absolutely disappointed. We started our cats on Stella & Chewy frozen, and never had an issue buying from here. We asked to be put on the auto renew list - 5 bags every week. In 5 months, they have only called us twice to let us know our order was in. Their orders come on Friday, so my husband goes in after work and there is one bag left. We asked where our auto order was. The never took down our name and number. They have taken my info down over 5 times in 5 months for auto order. I have never been so frustrated over pet food. The frozen food is much cheaper than the freeze dried, and I have called all other stores in the area but they don't have the frozen, so I'm stuck with sub-par customer service. How hard is it to ask for a weekly order EVERY WEEK? It's guaranteed business for them, but alas, I will start looking elsewhere. read more

I came to this store to buy stuff for my freshwater aquarium. This store is somewhere between your small "mom and pop" fish store and your giant Petsmart. It has the large store layout and the variety of pet products. The prices are decent. However, like the larger chain, the employee were pretty ignorant when it comes to fish. This place is surprisingly great. I usually shop at Petco and Petsmart because I like big jumbo stores with PetPerks but this place carries brands that neither has. The prices are also better with some foods! The staff is friendly, the facility is very clean and well organized. I just wish they would start some sort of rewards program and have more discounts for buying canned food in bulk. Awesome pet supply store! I come mostly for crickets for my dragons and they are a great price (they are cheaper online but you have to get 1000) especially compared to Petco and Petsmart.
