Found on the list of best donuts in NYC and I was skeptical but I do love donuts so I had to make the trek over the the UWS to see what all the fuss was about (or lack thereof, because I feel like people don't talk about this place enough!) and maybe that's a good thing because in that way, it's a bit of a hidden gem - got the berry flavored and mango tajin flavored donuts and they were WOW - divine. So soft and fresh and had really deep, not too sweet, complex flavors to the frostings. You could tell care was taken into producing these donuts and their recipes, and the flavors were -sharp- for the lack of a better word. They were prominent and not just relying on overly sweetness to make you enjoy them. Really really nice, one could say super nice. I could eat like 3 of these donuts back to back. Came at around 10 AM on a Monday and there was a short line but it moved fast. I got a flat white (excellent), cinnamon roll (great) and passionfruit doughnut (incredible). Need to try a pistachio croissant next time... and their cake doughnuts... and the guava and cheese... basically everything. The only thing not super nice about this place is how far it is from where I live. Definitely worth going out of your way for if you are even remotely nearby!! read more

Waited on my order to be delivered for an hour. I called to make sure it was heading out and the server was too quick to rush me off the phone and get the delivery guy out i'm assuming, that they gave me the complete wrong order. (Was meant for another costumer). I called back to have my ordered fixed and again the server is rushing and inpatient to let me speak. I asked for my coffee to be remade seeing as it's been 1 HOUR, nope my hot coffee is now iced. Terrible service. If you know there was a mistake being made correct it on your end & allow me to have a better experience afterwards. I'm so disappointed i am a local in the neighborhood and either come or order all the time. My order was comp but still had to pay Tip and Delivery fee, the very least you could've done was remake my tiny cortado. I don't think it would've hurt. read more

I recently stumbled upon this small gem. I originally walked past but the smell captivated me and i had to walk back. The place is a little hole in the wall. Your serviced through a window. The gentleman at the register was really nice. He let me know that the bakery has been there for about 4years or so. I had personally never seen it before. They have a bunch of baked good but what i immediately went for was the donuts. They are huge and doughy. But yum yum they are flavourful and delicious. I ended up getting the fruity pebbles, glazes, maple pecan and passion fruit. My favorite was the maple pecan. I feel like the maple taste combined with the pecans was a perfect match. The donut wasnt overly sweet, it was perfect. The glaze was okay, i just wanted to try but i think going with the more exciting flavors is the way to go. The other two flavors were fruity goodness esp the passion fruit. The donuts themselves looked really beautiful. The inside of the bakery also looked really good. They have a pretty good menu size for a small location. Overall i highly recommend and cannot wait to return. read more

A gem in Harlem for coffee and doughnuts! We stopped by for the first time this morning and ordered the New Orleans iced coffee, an oat latte, passion fruit donut, and maple pecan donut. I haven't had a New Orleans iced coffee before but I'm sold if it's done as well as Super Nice did it! It was lightly sweetened and fragrant and deep but not too bitter, it must be one of my favorite iced coffees in the city! This is the absolute best east Harlem walk-up coffee shop! I've been coming here since they first opened, and there was only one young male worker. This is a take & go place. A great little locale to grab a pastry & latte. Service is low key. You order, they pack & brew, and you grab and be on your way. 5 stars for their pastries and donuts. I completely understand the hype! This was our first time checking this spot out. I do wish they were open at 7 or 7:30 so I could get breakfast before work more easily. The handmade donuts are delicious. They're what I imagine a New York style donut should taste like. Sweet and chewy and not as airy as Krispy Kreme. I loved the texture. We had the glazed and the sprinkles donut. At 8 a.m. they had a limited selection of donuts. The matcha latte with oat milk was done really well. They clearly use ceremonial grade matcha and do the bamboo whisk. The flavor of the slightly toasty nutty matcha really comes through. Great spot that I will now try to pass by more often! read more

I heard about the place online and lived close so I decided to visit. I went there this afternoon and tried ordering two donuts. The worked there let me know that they didn't have donuts today with a slight smirk. When i walked away he closed the window and my sister saw the worker laughing. We ended up going to Don Pacos a block away for Concha Bread. I don't plan on going back because I felt uncomfortable with how pleased he looked to let me know the bad news also I didn't see anything about them running out of donuts on their website and instagram prior to going. Had he been nicer and suggested other options they offer I may have come back but the customer service is off. The donuts are excellent as they should be for at $4.50 a piece. The price is justified because they are oversized, fresh and the glazes are delicious. I didn't give them 5 stars because they charge $5.50 for a 10. oz regular latte. I think that is slightly overpriced even for a boutique coffee shop. My other gripe is that coffee shop looks a bit scummy. Behind the frosted glass exterior, you can see a messy pile of junk. Many of the boutique coffee shops I've visited not only serve great coffee but the establishments look nicely decorated. Update: After the manager contacted me and pointed out that the latte was $4.50 and I'd omitted the sales tax - my bad. I'm correcting my review to be fair. Glad I got to check this place out as we were running errands nearby. We got a Mango Chili and a Loganberry doughnut. I still don't really know what a Loganberry is but both doughnuts were delicious! They're pretty sweet but I felt like the flavors were distinct from each other. The doughnuts themselves were fluffy and a pretty good size and they had a good number of flavors/glazes available. I really really love this place! It's pretty close to home, but most times I order from here because it's fast and fresh. It's a great way to get some good food for breakfast or lunch in a very quick amount of time. Their egg and cheese croissant sandwich is my favorite, and their donuts are to die for! Especially the maple pecan - just be sure to order early! I discovered this place while we were still in quarantine, so I haven't gone to visit yet even when I've had a little time, but it's definitely on my list of to do's. Side note, I've had a couple of technical issues with the Uber eats app, no fault of the restaurant at all, but when they've tried to contact me through their system it bypasses my phone goes to voicemail. I have only been able to get through to the restaurant a couple of times otherwise it will show up as a failed call through the Uber eats system or through Yelp. I think the staff is a little annoyed with me over this but I don't have this issue with any other restaurants and I order at least five days per week off Uber eats. So please don't be mad at meeeeeee I'm just enjoying your food read more

I walked 17 blocks on a Sat morning (cat sitting for a friend, so I wanted to try something local) for these vegan donuts. I arrived around 10:10 on a Sat morning, eager to try them. Fortunately they were in stock, but it seems the protocol is to only make one vegan donut for each flavor... and they don't make the vegan donuts every day. So they might only have 6-12 vegan donuts for a day (is what my understanding was). For anyone else hoping for vegan donuts, I suggest either going very first thing in the am or calling first. All of the regular donuts looked glorious. Because I was there 10 min after opening, these vegan beauties were still hot!! Slightly chewier texture. Not a sweet dough. Chocolate frosting also not that sweet.. topped with cacao nibs which make for a nice, deeper flavor intermittently. Sooo delicious. I'm mildly obsessed with great vegan donuts. The one lazy barista that would pull up a chair and smoke outside on the curb while the line was piling up at the door is GONE. Who knew one staff member could bring a coffee shop so far down. Sweet deliciousness is ALL I can say! This place is adorbs, not sure if there was an indoor option prior but ordering is super easy. I wanted to start with the classic glaze and I was not disappointed. Think crispy cream but 10 times better, it's fluffy and fresh and melts in your mouth. I also had a almond latte, impressed by the steamed milk and coffee quality. It paired perfectly with the glazed doughnut. This place is definitely worth making it a Saturday ritual! I can't review the coffee but the bakery is fabulous -- the pistachio croissant and loganberry donut both are amazing. The pistachio croissant is so flaky and once you bite into it (I feel like I finally understand what It means for pastry to "shatter" and WOW) the inside is delicate and webbed and beautiful. I'm also obsessed with the pistachio flavor, which doesn't overwhelm the buttery croissant but does add an amazing nutty sweetness! The loganberry donut is also really delicious and perfectly yeasty and fruity. My only suggestion would be the paper they wrap it in, which peels off a lot of the seriously delicious icing. read more
