I just got my nails done yesterday. Fast forward to later on to the day to the following next day I started noticing that my left hand side on mostly all my nails have been lifted from the sides. What I had done was an overlay no color just clear. It was so noticeable that food,dirt could have gone in between. In this case I was able to my nail between the acrylic and my nail. I should have checked Yelp PRIOR to walking in at opening to get my eyebrows done on a Saturday morning. I mean.....it is Saturday morning at opening and eyebrows! That's it. I watched 4 pedicures and 2 full sets and a new set before I was acknowledged and told someone would be right with me. Why did I sit so long? Because I honestly did not want to try to find another place to get my brows waxed and I was told the owner/owner's wife was the best at brows. All that waiting and she wasn't even the one that did my brows. After an hour and twenty-eight minutes, it was time to go. I must admit, my brows did look great but the ROI doesn't match! I have a hard time keeping polish on, but even after errands, cooking, and cleaning there are no chips. But that's just me. The reason I say their service was excellent was how they treated my friend. She has cancer (she has given permission to relate this). She is hyper-sensitive to touch and temperature at the moment. She also has in-grown toenails. Walking is a challenge. Monique was her technician. She was extremely gentle and took an hour to make sure my friend experienced no discomfort. This place might not be super fancy but they really took there time to shape trim and paint like real professionals. My daughter wanted coffin shaped nails and the were perfect! Had a pretty good experience here today. I only got a manicure, but the gentleman who did it did a pretty good job. He did an excellent job trimming my cuticles and giving me a massage. I wish that he was more friendly, he didn't say a word to me, and the color I chose was very light and he was just going to do two coats. My girlfriend and I were looking to treat ourselves before a busy weekend ahead so we stumbled across Super Nails & Spa. We arrived as soon as they opened and it was downhill from the moment we entered. Only 2 people know how to speak English & they were not welcoming at all. The nail tech even got upset with me because I asked to sit beside my friend. When two people walk into a salon together, it is common courtesy to sit them together. She tried to sit us on complete opposite sides of the salon! Once I noticed her attitude, she then showed how upset she was by doing the job of a toddler on my fingernails. By the end, a regular of the salon came in and told me that my nails looked awful and needed to be fixed. I asked another nail tech to please fix them and thankfully she did a decent job. The owner then proceeded to give me an attitude (the first lady who polished my nails was her sister apparently) then after checking my account this morning, she overcharged me for their AWFUL service!! I will never go to this "salon and spa" again and would highly recommend that everyone else save their time and money and go somewhere else. I wish there was a rating lower than eek like, not even visit within a five mile radius. Some of the reviews for here were good so I decided to go out a whim and try it out, me being in town for my best friend thinking we could have a girls day. This day was easily ruined by a 3, almost 4 hour visit to this salon. When we arrived there were 2 people other than us there, and shortly after sitting down for our pedicure they left. The pedicure people first off began by putting almost scalding hot water on our feet and then wait about 30 minutes to even start the pedicure. My friend had a good worker who took his time and gave her maximum treatment but I on the other hand had a guy ripping my skin and rubbing it with a shaver so hard it burnt to put back in the water, not only that but I also didn't get the full pedicure like my friend which I had been watching. Then we sat to dry our little piggies, I kid you not, 40 minutes later while we were waiting for them to tell us where they wanted us for our full set one lady looked up and said can I help you...like we hadn't been sitting there the whole time (also they knew we wanted a pedicure and a full set, first thing we said coming in the salon). Finally after about another 30 minutes they put us in a chair and at that point since they were now busy they began our full set rushed, aggressive, and carelessly causing my friend's and my nails to hurt horribly (note: we have both received acrylic nails before so we know what it's like to get them). Not only was it rushed, but they did mine wrong even after I corrected them. Then the best part: the price. I had calculated it up while drying my nail and the price was 40$, so when we were ready to go we stood up by the counter and one of the girls working there moved faster than a jack rabbit on cocaine to receive the money, fastest I'd seen any of them move all day. The price came out to 50$ which I tried to debate but the girl was firm in her price even though her sign claimed otherwise, I was furious but I didn't argue or cause a scene because I didn't feel like it would have solved anything but instead I came on here to warn you not to go to this establishment. As a side note other customers were also complaining about being there a long time and even getting passed by other people who came in after them with no appointment. If sitting 3 to 4 hours in that place on a Wednesday morning is not your cup of tea then I suggest going to any of the other 4-7 nail salons 1 minute down the road. read more
