What a wonderful salon! From start to finish it was a great experience. I went around 5pm, there were quite a few people getting their nails done. They were able to squeeze me in without a long wait. While I was soaking my gels off, I couldn't help but notice how long the foot massages were for pedicures- I will definitely be back to indulge in that! I had a basic gel French manicure. It was done quickly and beautifully. The price was reasonable and well worth it. The salon had a very friendly vibe-almost like in the movie legally blonde haha. I was greeted when I walked in, thanked for waiting, and acknowledged when I left. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Have tried a number of Mount Pleasant's nail salons, but Pro Nails is my favorite. Great owners, good pedicures and manicures, will only come here when I need pampered. I booked an appointment for today because I was told they were very good and so welcoming. I went in and said I had a 1:00 appointment. I was told to pick a color and to go sit down which I did, but 25 minutes after my appointment was scheduled, no one approached me, so I mentioned that I had an appointment, but was ignored, so I decided to leave since no one seemed interested in taking care of me. Very disappointed that I was made to feel not welcome. I guess appointments mean nothing to them. read more

My friend and I went in together. We were seated in the spa seats at the same time. We both had the basic mani- pedi. I was done about 25 minutes before she was. I had an older gentleman who barely massaged or cleaned my feet. I wanted my heels to be cleaned in particular which I mentioned but he barely touched them. All the while he spoke in Vietnamese to his colleagues and from their facial expressions they were talking about us, and not in a particularly nice way. How rude. Overall experience was horrible. He cut into my cuticles which bled. A week later the skin around my nails all began to peel and my nails were chipping and splitting. My friends hands experienced the same effect. Not sure what kind of cheap materials were being used. Overall, never going back. Do not advise anyone to go. Rude people. read more

I have to disagree with the other review on this page from while back. Since then, they've moved into the space next door and made the salon even larger. I can't say I'm a regular, but I've had a few pedicures here over the years and they are the best... especially the deluxe pedicure. Although I've personally had great experiences here, I've only been a few times. The true testament is the women I know who go to see Kim religiously here. They've been going for years and one of them even lives in West Ashley and still travels all the way to Park West. The staff is always polite and do a great job making burly bearded man getting a pedicure feel comfortable. It's very clean and the massage chairs are amazing too! read more

I am very upset and I never do a write up. But this upset me so much that I felt the need to do so. I went to get a manicure but there were 2 nails on my toes that needed a little bit of nail polish. I did not want to pay for a full repolish as it was not necessary. So I found the color for my toes and used it to fix it myself. I did get my nails done though and at the end she charged me $3 extra for using her nail polish on my toes. I could not believe it. I even said are you serious? and the owner obviously was. I told the woman who was doing my nails if that is the case I am never coming back again. So they just lost a client. Do not go here as the $3 meant so much more to her than keeping a client happy. This has never happened to me anywhere else I have gone to. read more

You must make an appointment in advance. I called on a Friday morning and was told around 1pm would be a good time for me to come in. When I arrived at 1:15 I was told to come back at 2:30. People with appointments who came in after me were going to be taken ahead of me and the expectation was that I wouldn't be out until 4. I'd prefer honesty to an effort to squeeze people in. I went in to get SNS nails taken off from my wedding. Super simple right?! They were only on for a week and half and you could tell from the start of the service the lady didn't want to take them off... when soaking my nails she soaked my clearly bandaged finger with ACETONE...I screamed (she apologized and giggled) I mean the entire bandaid was soaked for remainder of visit. Then when she went to cut my cuticles she cut to much of my skin on two fingers and made them bleed and tried to hide it from me.. soaked those with acetone as well. not going back. I started coming here 2 months ago when I first moved to SC. The gel Manicure lasts less than 2 weeks People are nice and pretty decent serviceZ. I called ahead to schedule a mani and pedi appointment. I had exactly 1.5 hours to spare as a working mom with her working husband out of town. A reasonable time frame for a mani pedi They told me to get there between 4 and 4:30 Pm. I showed up at 4:15. Picked out my color and sat in a chair. (Per their direction) at 5 pm I had still not been started. Realizing there was no way I could get even one service done in time to pick up my son I got up, with wet feet, and sloshed out of the shop. By the way there were two other people who had been waiting before me. I have been to this shop before and they do great work. However this wait time is ridiculous. I have gone to several nail salons in the Lowcountry, and was disappointed in all all of them. A friend of mine always has awesome looking nails so I asked her where she goes and she said Pro Nails in Park West and told me to ask for Lydia or Kim. So I went there, and Lydia did my nails, and THEY LOOK AWESOME. She did them exactly the way I asked, answered my questions, and took her time. The salon has a pleasant atmosphere, plays relaxing music, and is very clean. I will never go anywhere else. Highly recommended! read more
