I went in first thing on Saturday morning. The staff was super friendly and there was not a wait. I got an acrylic fill-in with gel, pedicure with gel, and my eyebrows waxed. My manicure was decent. My thumb nail was a bit longer than my other nails and there was some paint on my fingers as well. My thumb got nicked when they were removing the old polish. When it came time for my toes there was an issue with the polish they used. It was not drying despite being in the UV light. So they ended up redoing my toes several times but when they buffed the toe nails they also buffed my toe raw. My eyebrows turned out really well though. The total for everything was $102 before tips. So it was very reasonably priced. read more

This is a very clean and classy establishment. The customer service was wonderful. They offered me a water and the sink where we wash was simply sparkling. The chairs in the lobby and in the work area are all very comfortable. The darling little boy that was there with his mom chatted with me the entire time and was just a joy to be around. The only reason it is four stars instead of five is because I don't really like how my nails turned out. I understand there is a language barrier though, and to be prepared for that when going to these places so all in all, I think it is a wonderful place and I will definitely be going back. read more

I had my nails done exactly 1 week ago yesterday. I've had to go back twice now to have my nails fixed because of the polish bubbling up and peeling or almost looks like scraping off. I was going to give this place the benefit of the doubt by assuming it was just a bad bottle of polish. However, the "owner" Michael tried to blame this on me! I've been to plenty of places and have NEVER had this issue and I don't do anything with my hands that would cause these problems. Don't waste your time or money going here. The last two times I've gone there I wasn't happy they didn't take me in orders of arrival they were selective and they made me set for ten minutes and switched me to another nail person because it was oblivious he wanted to do another person instead. My friend and I came in for pedicures and had a pretty good experience. Relaxing atmosphere. My pedicurist was polite and did a great job with the massage portion of the pedi. The polish could have been applied better, but it wasn't terrible. I felt that my friend's pedicurist was extremely obnoxious. Loud and rude, but she had no complaints. $28 for the pedicure was more than I'd have liked to pay for this particular experience, but I didn't feel too overcharged. Probably won't be back since I'm moving, but I wouldn't steer people away from it. read more

I have been going for several months without a problem. However, the past few times the manicure, whether it be gel or dip is only lasting a week at best. I have always tipped well no matter what. I had a gel manicure done last Saturday and by mid week they were chipping and cracking. I went in on 10/14 @ 2 to have them fixed and the man that did them said well that is why you need to get dip. I feel every time I turn down the dip the gel gets thinner and thinner. I have never had it peel like this before. I was told I need to call him and schedule an appointment to have them fixed and was given an attitude when I expressed my discontent. I may be a dime a dozen in his business but customer service can make or break whether I continue to patron your establishment. When I am blamed for his subpar work and obviously being talked about I walked out and will never go back. Again, I know this generally doesn't sway people's minds to use a particular business or not just a psa incase you aren't satisfied with their work. I love this place! Although it's tucked away off the road, it's still really easy to get to. It's super clean and they're extremely friendly. Their prices are very reasonable! My favorite is the $38 pedicure, where they use great smelling product and is super relaxing. read more

My experience at this location was definitely "A-OK." The staff were friendly and efficient, and I was able to get in and out for my pedicure (with leg massage) in just under an hours. The nail polish selection was good and I enjoyed some of the different pedicure options on offer. The location is small (five pedicure stations and five manicure stations), so I would recommend booking ahead like we did. I had some major problems with my chair control (avoid chair no. 4) and every time I thought I'd tamed the beast it started doing its own thing. I also thought that the location could do with a good spring clean. The chair remote was grotty and there was a lot of dust etc. around that I wouldn't expect for a beauty shop. For the money (approx. $45 including tip) I would have liked to feel a little more pampered. I would go back to this location if I was desperate, but I expect that I continue looking around at other salons in the area to find the best fit. read more

We made an appointment and showed up a bit early. The folks at Tip Toes took us early and were gracious and accommodating. It is a small nail shop (five pedi chairs and approximately the same number of nail stations). What they lack in size, though, they make up for in service. They are a friendly bunch, and they took good care of us. The Refresher Pedi (about $38) was quite nice. It included a soak, full pedi, plus a very nice salt scrub and oil on my calves. They offered me something to drink, and were quite talkative while working on my feet. I would recommend Tip Toes. It is a clean shop, and the staff is very friendly. I can't speak to their mani or gel nails, because I only did a pedi. I do think their prices are reasonable and their services are very good. read more

A few days ago I had a pedicure appointment at Tip Toes. I had been sick for quite some time, and my feet were a neglected mess. I was sure it was going to have to hurt at some times, but NO!!! SAM IS THE BEST!!! It was the best feeling (both during and after) and the most effective, and best looking pedicure I have ever had. --and I'm old so that leaves a lot material for comparison. On top of the magic and miracles that Sam manifested, the environment was perfect. The atmospheric music, the subtle yet beautiful decor, etc all supported the wonderful experience. --and they weren't shoving you out the door, which allowed for a smooth and pleasant ending to a perfect time. Don't go here! I usually go to a nail salon in goose creek or the charleston area. I went here because I just moved to Summerville . The woman was super nice , we talked the entire time. I told her I wanted gel coffin nails. While she was doing my nails I told her I didn't like them . They looked bulky . I tried to add glitter & a design to make them look better .. nope & I couldn't figure out what was wrong . She filed them down some but they still looked sort of weird. I left because I was supposed to be leaving for myrtle Beach . A friend of mine who is a nail tech saw my nails and said that she put way too much gel. I called the lady and told her I was coming back . I went back all of the techs were looking at me funny and now today she was super rude and rushing me . I told her I wanted my toes done , remove the gel from My nails and a new color . All she did was file my nails down and polish them . She even polished my nails ugly & I paid $80 for everything . My toe turned red within the first day after getting my last pedicure at Tip Toes in Knightsville. We had recently moved to Summerville and I had tried them a month prior with no problem, but this time it was an older woman that did my toes and she was merciless with chipping away at the tops of my nails and her tools looked rather disheveled in the bag, which made me wonder if they might have not been cleaned recently. If things look unorganized, that's often a sign of uncleanliness. My toe turned red and has been infected for over a week. I went to the Emergency Room and they ordered some antibiotics to help with the infection. Also asked in my neighborhood group on social media about the place, and it seems everyone that tried Tip Toes had problems with it. Just wish I had asked before trying them out. The State Inspector needs to check this place out for cleanliness before someone loses a toe or a finger from bacteria infections. read more

I had to have a new set two weeks after I had a NEW SET done at TipToe. I didn't go back to them for a fix since I was sure I'd get lots of lame excuses. The fill was separating and allowing water, etc. under. You could tell since they had started to grow out some, that the edges were uneven and many of the sides didn't have any filling as far down as they should have. The nail place I had them fixed at said those 'symptoms' were usually caused by using the cheapest powder fill out there. I had to wonder if the guy knew what he was doing as well. They looked ok for about a week then I really saw them go to pot. Got the usual pressure Salons give you to have a gel manicure/set. I've had nails for 15 years and lived in several states while having them. This was one of the worst I've ever seen. California, Arizona and Illinois--never had this problem. South Carolina has had the worse quality, easy. They also charge quite a bit more. TipToe is not unique in its bad service. Still looking for a place I can trust. read more

Kind of an odd experience to say the least. Walked up to the store while three men stood around the door. This automatically made my friend and I very nervous, as two women who were by ourselves in a nearly empty parking lot. Our fears were quickly eased for a short while when the men seemed kind and were the owners of the shop. Okay. Not bad... we walk in, and the shop is very clean and beautiful. We were immediately seated in pedicure chairs as the whole shop was empty. Empty shop, no other customers, three men in the shop, and not a single woman to be seen, employee or client. Very uncomfortable. The men very quickly get to work o. Our pedicures. Pedicures were pretty good, and a customer or two came in and were seated while we were getting our pedicures. By a random female employee who seemingly appeared out of this air. My friend finished at least 10 minutes before I did, but we started at the same time. Weird. But okay. Then when the guy goes to start painting my nails, the female employee comes over and quickly paints them. THANK GOD. All in all, the pedicure itself was pretty average, but the lack of women, empty shop, and uncomfortable atmosphere pushes me to give 3 stars. read more

I've going here for the last year or so. In the beginning it was great, but unfortunately it began to slide into decline. My last visit I asked for a pedi, they put me in a chair, & suckered me into letting my feet soak, leading me to believe I was next. Wrong. The guy who started the water on the soak bowl, walked away and took the lady who came in after me. Nah it's cool, I wasn't waiting or anything. His co worker had to lean over and turn the water off before the bowl overflowed & flipped on the jets. After waiting for a total of 35 mins or so (25 mins of that soaking in water), I walked out. Spoke with the manager, he says his people didn't see me. I told him not true. Anyway, shame on me - I went back today to get my brows waxed, was told it would be 10 mins as the lady who does the waxing isn't in yet. I am a lil hesitant after last weekend's attempted visit but I mean it's just brows and I've never had a problem with this part of the salon...& then 15 mins go by & one of the employees says that it will be another 10 mins as the lady who does brows is still sleeping. Eff this, I am not waiting any longer, I scratched out my name on the check in log, & left. Now I have to start all over again and find a place that doesn't suck... read more

I found the customer service is awful.. I was getting my nails done with a friend, first we had to sit for at least 40 minutes to wait for our nails when there were clients coming in getting their feet done within the time we were waiting. The guy who did my nails was very agitated and kept trying to get me to shorten my length which wasn't ridiculously long on topMy phone was placed on between my legs and he grabbed it and told me to sit down to Dry my nails up at the front and didn't even tell me how long so I sat there for 20 minutes when all I needed was five. Also they were such a rush for us to pay he wanted me to pay in the middle of him doing my nails and then when my friend and I were drying or nails they went as far as going into our and purses and grabbing our credit card and cash to pay when they easily could've waited until our nails were dry and we could pay. My nails along with hers have a bunch of little mess ups which are noticeable when there are multiple. read more
