I didn't find this to be a very friendly nail salon. The tech who worked on my nails was in a big hurry. I scheduled an appointment, but she worked on someone else as she was working on me. To her credit, she didn't nick my cuticles at all. The service I requested was a fill. The small end of one nail wasn't covered with polish and then another nail also had a spot near the cuticle that wasn't covered. For $66 I expect a more professional job. I will say there did appear to be some friendly techs there. I would not describe the woman who helped me that way, however. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Anna, I need you to move to NY so you can do my nails till I die. She hooked my nails up! Took 1.5hours but it was worth it! They look so good and it is so precise. The picture I showed her, she did exactly! She took her time filing and shaping my nails, she took her time choosing the right colors... you can tell she loves what she does and it shows in the nails. This has quickly become my new favorite place to get my nails done. The employees are very friendly and have already remembered me by name. They listen to what I want and offer suggestions as well. My nails always look fresh and and clean. Even when it's busy they don't rush to get to the next person. They take their time to make sure you're happy with your nails. Everyone was super nice, the atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly, and the services are out of this world! I'm sold on Distinctive Nails! My daughter (5) asked me if we could have a girl's day, and we decided to get pedicures! Her first ever, so she was super excited. Upon arriving, we were told there would be a 40 minute wait. We decided to head over over to a little cafe (The Rustic Muffin) while we were waiting, and I believe she was the owner, but I sadly didn't get her name, told me she would come grab us if they could get us in more quickly. She actually came over to get us in about 10 minutes or less! My daughter was happy to sit in one of the cute children's pedicure chairs, and I was seated right next to her. The nail tech who worked on her pedicure was very nice and patient with her, which is good, because she is very ticklish. He did a great job painting her toes hot pink with glitter on top, and she absolutely loves them! My nail tech, the owner (?), was also very nice and personable. Easy and fun to talk to! My pedicure was great as well! She was very thorough and took her time making sure my feet were smooth, my polish looked good, and I was enjoying myself! Update - within 20 minutes of my review, the manager has reached out to me to rectify the situation. I appreciate it immensely!! This is the customer service I remembered from this place before I moved away!!!! So disappointed by their management. What is the point of making a reservation, especially for a special occasion?! Several weeks out, we called and scheduled 5 pedicures for a girls birthday weekend. When we arrive, they act clueless until they see the reservation written down in their book. Clearly not prepared as they've taken lots of walk in customers beforehand. The 7 year old birthday girl and my mom still havent gotten her pedicure or manicure started despite us being here for 30 minutes. Absolutely awful business practice. We had a full day planned out but the timing is now ruined. No apology or anything. We will be taking our business elsewhere in the future. Quite a few of their esthetician's are great - they need to take their services elsewhere. Where their management won't be running away their customers. read more

Tried them out for the first time today. Went in unscheduled as a walk in this afternoon. I was immediately greeted and signed in, asked for a pedicure and picked my color. I was immediately taken to a chair that was already being set up. The tech that did my pedicure was very particular and did a great job. Only complaint would be for them to focus more on the heels instead of the middle of my foot on the scrub. The middle of my foot was so ticklish and the heel is where it needs scrubbed the most. Had a dip nail manicure with Hana and it was great. She was super fast and very particular. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and I feel like she did a great job executing what I was looking for. I was super impressed with this salon! It's very clean and nicely appointed. We went with a pretty large group for manicures and pedicures early on a Saturday morning. They were very accommodating with our reservation and had plenty of staff on hand. They had tons of color options in both gel and regular polish. My pedicure was amazing! The chairs were comfy and had lots of massage options. My manicure is holding up really well (I did regular polish). Usually they are already chipping and peeling by now. I was NOT impressed with Distinctive Nails when me and my friends went this past Friday. First of all, I received a nail technician who kept trying to tell me what length I should have my nails, regardless of what I requested. Even when I told him why I wanted them shorter (my reason was very legitimate because I work in healthcare and can't have super long nails) he wanted to argue with me and tell me no. And then two of my nails came off today, and it's not even been a week since I had them done! Dip powder nails should not just pop off whole in less than one week. read more

I've been to many other salons in the area. Thaws guys didn't even hesitate when I said I wanted over, and it came out flawlessly. It's perfect. My last ombré at another replace was pretty, but you could see the lines. These nails have no lines, just a flawless ombré. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Distinctive Nails. They opened one year ago right down the road from my neighborhood. I was beyond stoked when I found out it was coming to the area. Lyn, Lauren, and her mother own the salon and do an amazing job. The decor is on point. They offer complimentary wine, soda, or water with services. The pedicure chairs are so amazing and the deluxe pedicure is the way to go every single time! I pick a new flavor each time I go! Lauren is my go to person there. She legit gives the most amazing pedicures EVER! I have even sent my mom and husband there and countless friends. I look forward to my visits here.
