My nails turned out really great and the experience was speedy but I would reccomend making an appointment because this nail salon was poppin. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because I was talked into a service for my manicure that ended up costing so much more than I thought, even though I was told during it that it would be the same price. $97 dollars later I walked out with a pedicure and manicure that looked nice, but was super super expensive. I should have been more blunt in saying no and knowing better than to believe that it was the same price but I was disappointed that I was led so astray. I probably won't go back unless I can confirm up front the cost of what I am receiving. Don't let them trick you! read more

They are open and worth a visit! Space is clean, service was polite and prompt. I called ahead for appt to be safe. Large selection of polishes to choose from and organized in easy to see manner. Offered me something to drink but since this is my 1st stop of errands I declined the fun one and took a cold water bottle. Looking forward to seeing how my regular polish pedicure lasts! Pleased with how my technician listened to my concerns, too. Definitely coming back to see if this could be my new go to for pedicure and manicure needs. read more

The space was beautiful and very clean! I got a gel mani and it was decent. My thing is that I am actually half Vietnamese and can understand. I don't appreciate being called a big girl...and pretty sure no one appreciates it regardless of size. I wear big XL sweatshirts and my size 4-6 is prob not the norm for Vietnamese women but it's just really rude. My tip to this salon is don't talk about your customers bc some can actually understand you regardless of what they look like (race or size)! read more

Nails and brows done here quite often! Even without an appointment I have never had to wait very long! It is definitely a one stop shop with rustic muffin to the right and Volume hair to the left! It is very clean, on par price wise with the lowcountry and a wonderful staff read more

Absolutely love the staff and the service -- I'm there religiously every two weeks and am never disappointed. What really did it for me was when a couple of my dip nails started to crack -- I'd never really seen that before and wanted to ask them to see what they could do. They ended completely redoing my nails AT NO CHARGE and were so happy that I decided to have the issue fixed rather than just complain about it. The integrity is so great there and I just love all the techs. I 110% recommend them to anyone looking for great service!! read more

I just moved to the Charleston area for school and was looking for a good nail place. Distinctive nails is by far the best place I have been to. The technicians have very flexible hours. Awesome sums it up!! They adhere to the COVID-19 pandemic and that's very important to me and my family! I enjoyed having Mrs Cathy do my nails until I found out that she does feet too!! She's very professional. I had one nail that chipped and she repaired it! When I went to check out...my bill was far less than I anticipated. She covered the repair and she did not have too! Please make sure to wear a mask. They are a responsible group! And very friendly! read more

I chose this place based on the good yelp reviews. My nails split and break and I have tried everything. Decided to get acrylic nails with gel polish for the first time. Joey did a fabulous job! He made sure I was happy through out. The place is very comfortable, clean and relaxing. Highly recommend. I paid $48 for acrylics and gel polish. read more

Well, I'm a regular customer. My regular nail tech wasn't in today. I had called last week to make appointment ,Tiffany doesn't work on Monday I was informed so, Tiffany made me appointment with someone else. I was on time for my 12:30 appointment. The young lady put my feet in the water at 12:25 sit down in front off clean of her shoes her clogs & proceed to another customer. Not saying anything to me at all. So here I'm sitting here 12:55 no one has said anything to me at all. So I dried off my feet & proceed to leave, The young lady who put me feet in the foot bowl just looked at me & never said a word, ( the only person who did say something was her customer about the outfit I was wearing). No one 1 working didn't say anything as I was leaving. If they didn't want to do Tiffany's customer's they should have said when I walked in. Waiting 30 minutes water is now cold & no 1 says anything to you. Not acceptable. read more

When I visited this nail salon for the first time I'd have to admit that it wasn't the most pleasant visit when I was first assisted. I had heard wonderful reviews & comments about the business, so I decided to drive 40 minutes away from my home to give it a try. The nail technician that assisted me was a bit unhelpful & nonchalant about working with me. On the plus side, he was very meticulous & precise about my nails. Towards the end though, he neglected to do what I asked for but the business owner was a remarkable individual with over the top customer service. She assisted me afterwards and did what I asked for which left me enthusiastic. For this reason, I rate this business 5 stars. read more

Called and was told $8 for kids. I went in and they ask their age and I said 9 and 10. They said kids are up to age 8! When is age 9 an adult? They don't tell me that over the phone. The ladies were very nice. For 2 child adults nail color change on fingers and color change only on toes was $96! Not even a full pedicure or manicure...that was for color change only. read more

Everytime I have ever come here, they messed my nails up. I came to get my nails & toes done for my 21st birthday and the lady literally cut my cuticles ALL the way down to where they were bleeding. and when I told her that it hurt she continued to do so. My nails are all different shapes and she messed the polish up so bad. Then the same woman did my toes and cut my cuticles even more down and again, didn't stop after i said it hurt. It hurt the entire weekend to walk. Some of the nail techs here are amazing and the reviews are awesome but every experience I have had has been terrible. read more

I have been several time for manicure/pedicures. I usually see Bri. Great salon has a family vibe. Clean and lots of selections for colors. Only thing that disappointed me was other patrons on multiple occasions were offered refreshments including mimosas. This week when I went in I saw someone else because Bri was off and again I noticed others had mimosa so I finally asked about. To which I was given one.... overall great place but just turned me a little to why are all not are given same treatment. Overall would return here read more

My first time here since moving to Summerville. The staff was awesome and they did such a fabulous job on my nails.

I went to Distinctive Nails today at around 130 for a pedicure and nail dip. . I didn't leave until after 4!!!!!! I don't know who did my nails she never volunteered any information. My nails came out very nice as did my pedicure. I will give it another try my only concern is it should not take 2 1/2 hours. Other customers came in and had same things done and were out a little over an hour.. She really needs to step it up. Hopefully this is only a one time thing. Thank you. read more

This is a hit or miss depending on who does your nails. I tried to call and make an appointment with Heather so I could make sure she did my nails and I would have to wait an hour or more and I was told just come on in. They wouldn't make the appointment. I arrived in 30-45 min and was kept waiting an hour and Heather wasn't even there. The lady who did my nails cut my cuticle and the gel came off in 4 days. read more

I got a gel manicure that was supposed to last 2-3 weeks, like they normally do, but only 4 days after I get them done, they started chipping! So I called and complained and they told me that they are only supposed to last 4 days.....Never going there again. I highly don't recommend. read more

Recommended by a friend, Tina took her time and did a fabulous job on my Pedicure and Manicure. I would recommend this place to everyone ..

I can't recommend this salon for a pedicure unfortunately - throughout the service, I was polite and chatting with my daughter, who was also receiving a pedicure in the chair next to me. My nail tech (Hana as noted on my receipt) only spoke to her coworker outside asking which pedicure I wanted. She clipped the skin on one of my nails so deep that I winced and expected to see blood (no blood, but it was left red and sensitive). No apology or even acknowledgement. One of my big toes has bubbles in the polish that I only noticed when outside in the sun, and on a $32 bill, I still left a $6 tip for which she didn't even say "thank you". I will be seeking another location for these services. read more

I had gotten a full set of acrylics and had them painted at one salon, and they did not come out like I'd hoped they would. The shaping and length of the nails were all wrong. I didn't want the first place to fix them because I had already lost faith in how they'd come out. I couldn't stand looking at my nails how they were and so I went over to Distinctive Nails in hopes they could fix them. Danh greeted me and immediately began working on them. She took off the first polish, smoothed them down, reshaped them, repainted them and I couldn't be more grateful. She was very nice and only charged me the price of a fill. I will definitely be making Distinctive Nail my go-to place from now on! read more

If you're looking for a nail salon that offers exceptional customer service in a clean, inviting atmosphere this is it! I am always very hesitant to try new places, but I am so glad that I did! Only place I go to get my pedicures, I am always happy with the way my nails come out. Prices are reasonable and salon is always clean!

Great salon- give it a try! I recently had a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I decided to make an appointment because I had limited time and they made it so easy for me. Took me back right on time and the services were performed well. I left as a happy customer and my gel nails lasted 2 weeks ...no chipping or peeling at all! Everyone was sweet and the other customers seemed happy also while I was there. Side note: pop in to the coffee shop next door " The Rustic Muffin" and continue to pamper yourself..... read more

My first experience wasn't a superstar. My nail technician An was very busy assisting other customers, myslef and on top of that he was also the hosstess/Cashier. He probably helped 4 different customers while working on my footspa. I got a little upset and scared for a bit because I thought at some point he will messed up my nails. But I was wrong! He is the best meticulous on his art and very polite. I am so inlove with my new nails as a matter of fact I requested the same one on my second visit. Distinctive Nails is definitely the right place to be! Perfect place for "Mommy Me Time" Professional, Friendly, Fun, Relaxing, delivering Exceptional Service. They really go above and beyond with their work. It is well worth the amount of money I paid. I first booked my appt. via phone and 3 weeks after I booked another one through facebook . So convenient and easy. Try it, you will never go back to any other salon seriously. P.S. If you ever go there look for An (male Tech) or Emily. read more
