This is my go-to nail place in Metairie. Everyone there is so welcoming, friendly, and skilled. Tina has been making all my "fun" nail dreams a reality (per these pics.) Whether I'm having them work on my natural nails or acrylics, they do a great job. I've had gel, dip, and designs done and it's all done so well and at an affordable price. It's been awhile since I have been back to this nail shop but I got to say today Henry and female owner took very care of me this afternoon. I drove all the way from Slidell to metairie to get a pedicure from Henry! He is the best for them ! I used to wear long nails and took them off for awhile to let them breathe. I came in to get a manicure done with gel polish and of course they always are so so very sweet. The atmosphere in the shop is very clean and relaxing . I love it ! So you know I will be back . I was very satisfied after my first visit for dip nails. The female owner told me my refill next time would be $35. Well I went for my refill today & was charged $50. When I questioned this, I was told it was because I changed my color! I have had dip nails for several years now & have never paid that much for a refill & I ALWAYS change my color! read more

Wanted to send out a grest review for this little nail shop. I've been going here for over 12 years. This nail salon is clean and they sanitize all tools. I had a TERRIBLE experience here on Tuesday. I requested a pedicure, selected several colors (and brought 3 to the chair) to consider and then chose one. While Henry was working on my feet, I reconsidered and asked for a different color. (Note: he had NOT put any color on my toes yet.) Henry yelled at me, "You chose this color!" When I said I changed my mind, he was furious and flipped up the chair arm and yelled for me to "go get your color!" I responded that I thought he was being ugly and rude. He yelled, "You are rude!" He did not apologize and the only other person in the shop, a lady, who is the owner did not address my concerns when I checked out. I called the next day and she said she was working. It is OBVIOUS they do not care whether you have a positive experience or not. When I go to get a pedicure I expect a professional, calm, and relaxing experience. I got the opposite here. If you are looking for a professional positive experience, DO NOT go to this salon. You will likely be sorry. read more

This place was such a joke! I get I came in late 6:15 when they close at 7 pm. I came in apologizing because I don't get out of work until 6. Tried making conversation I knew they barely knew English so I just took the hint they didn't want to talk. I already knew they were going to treat me horrible as well by their tone when I walked in. One of the lady was so rude to me. Kept yanking my hand hard. Didn't even have time to select a nail color after they rudely threw the nail choices at me. Because she yanked my hand away from the nail choices. While she was shaping my nails I will admit the shape was on point. But when we got to the dip powder it came out very chunky. She didn't push my cuticles back so you could see the part between my real nails and the dip. I didn't realize this because they kept rushing me to move to the next station to paint my nails. After that my mother came up from her chair because she realized I was being treated bad. That's when their tone changed. When I finally got to see them they were poorly painted so much gaps... I had to complain which is something I rarely do. The lady said she didn't see any mistakes until I kept complaining and she finally agreed to fix them. This was the worst manicure I've ever gotten. Yes, my nails were a hott mess but the girl was so rough with clipping and literally left her nail imprints on my fingers from holding so tight. The paint job is so sloppy and she used the drill so much on my nails it was burning!!!! And the massage was a joke. Never again!! read more

I went here for a pedicure with a friend of mine who gets regular pedicures at this place and obviously just doesn't know any better. Trust me, she will never go there again if I have anything to do with it. We both got pedicures. We Had to wait because it was Sunday and they were not very well staffed. The owners were there. The wife doing services, the husband walking around like the Gustapo. This is your typical crappy nail place where the workers speak another language while across the room from each other. They charge extra for things that other nail places do with their regular pedicure...for example' "sea salt" they charge $5 extra to rub your legs with a salt scrub. They also charge $5 to put a steam towel on your legs. Don't waste your time gong here. Their towels are old and dirty. The woman who did my pedicure took a random towel out of the little cart where she kept the fingernail files and wiped my legs off after she rubbed lotion on my legs that she mixed with the water my feet had been soaking in. Oh wait, I almost forgot, unsanitary!!! My friend got her eyebrows waxed with the same stick that everyone else got theirs done with. The same stick was dipped in the wax every time after putting it on my friend's skin. SO MUCH is wrong with this place. read more

BAD CHEAP GEL MANICURES! I was searching for a place near my in-laws to get a quick mani/pedi while I was there for a visit during Easter. Super Nails was convenient and open. They were clean, and pretty nice. I got a pedicure first, and they did a pretty good job, although they insisted on using that cheese grater on my feet when I've never had that used on me, bc it's not necessary. I had gel polish on and I had to soak in acetone, and then had gels done. Needless to say, the polish started chipping TWO DAYS later! Unacceptable! Gel polish is supposed to last about two weeks...this is really cheap stuff...BEWARE! read more

Deluxe pedicure ($32) was supposed to be extra massage and sea salt. Used about a tablespoon of sea salt per leg and that was the massage. No extra anything. Did not even massage at all with lotion!!! Manicure ($14) was not thorough and polish was coming off by the next day. Would not go back. read more

The place was very clean & the staff was very nice. I do think that $71, for a mani/pedi, a full set of acrylics + $20/tip, for a pedicure that the polish disappeared after 2 days was a bit high! Loved the people but very disappointed at my pedicure. I've had many before last 4-6 weeks. I may give them another try in the future though, as I believe everyone deserves a second chance. read more

Walked in to empty salon and was greeted by a nice worker. I went in to get a pedicure and the woman doing it was not friendly at all and seemed to be in a terrible mood. A few minutes into it she took out the cheese grater looking tool and razor which I didn't think they were legally allowed to use. My feet were nowhere near in need of it. After the worst pedicure ever she shuffled me over to the dryer which clearly did not work. While sitting down I saw the gross walls and dirt on floors. My polish was applied terribly and will never go back. Pretty upset I tried here instead of the salon next to tower of pizza. read more

Use to be a regular before they moved. My kids gave me a GC when I went to use it they said new owner. & would not accept it. I will check the law about this and will see. I will not be back. I love going to super nails. I've only been going here for about 3 months but every time I've gone they have been very nice and conscientious about what they are doing. They also are very good about getting you in on time for your appointment. And my manicures are lasting 2 weeks when I work at a grocery store and my hands are always moving. read more

I noticed this place relocated a few blocks from my house. They were further down Vets, across from Dorignacs. I had a bad experience at the old location but I decided to give them another shot. I walked into an empty salon, which was ok by me. I didn't have to wait. I requested a gel manicure and a pedicure. Pedicure was first. The woman doing my pedicure seemed to be in a bad mood. She was quite rough and didn't say a word to me. To my dismay, she whipped out one of those big, awful tools that look like it should be used to grate cheese, not my feet! I may not go out for a pedicure once a week but my feet are NOT that bad. Actually, I didn't even think salons were allowed to use that tool anymore. So, I kept my mouth shut and ler her do her thing. Rough and quick, it was over in 15 minutes at the most. The gel manicure was next. It was the worst gel manicure I have ever had in my life!! She literally made my fingers bleed when she was removing the cuticles from around my nail beds. In fact, my fingers were red and appeared to be on the verge of a full blown infection ip to three days after this happened. The inside of the lamp where you place your hands to dry in between coats was filthy dirty!! Not only was it visibly dirty, but it had old gel on the inside that I put I hands in. So I had gel that MUST be removed with acetone on the tips and sides of my fingers. I tried to point this out to her but she did nothing. I was so mad at this point I just wanted to run out of there. My nails looked awful. I'm going to spare you from the rest of my complaints. However, I did save the WORST for last. Through out this entire miserable experience, this woman kept blowing her nose in tissue, the same funky tissue! What else can I say? Bad, bad, BAD service! Oh, 70 bucks to boot! read more

Okay, as sad as this is, I admit it...I've been going here for years, since they were at their former location. I guess I just don't like switching places and trying new places because I've had lousy mani-pedi services here for a long time and after each visit, vow to never return but always find myself back in there with their kids running around all the time and the subpar mani/pedi services. Yes, the other reviews are correct, they use the cheese grater and still, somehow manage to not take any dead skin off my heels and yes, they keep pimping the sea salt...It's annoying. So the last visit (I swear it really is my last visit) they did a "Gel" mani/pedi on me and didn't even use the UV light thingie to dry my nails. I thought the whole Gel thing was that you HAD to have the UV light to seal it in, well - turns out I'm right because the polish/gel was peeling off in 2 days. I asked the girl at the time and she said I didn't need it. The worst is yet to come....I was "treating" my daughter to a pedi and she wanted to get eyelashes....I'd previously made that mistake twice before at this shop and I don't know if I had temporary amnesia or what but I told my daughter to go for it and that while she was at it, I'd do it too...for $30.00 each (just the lashes). The girl literally GLUED the lash "bunches" on top of our real eyelashes in splotchy messes. My eyes were watering so bad from the glue that when she held up the dirty hand mirror for me to look how pretty they are...I just sort of said yeah and handed over my credit card so I could GTFO......So, mine start falling off the next day, it's cool, I wasted my money and I don't know why in the world I agreed to do this for the third time after the first two times she did my lashes were disastrous. Alas, I digress, the lashes pretty much fell out within 24 hours on ME. My daughter's lashes lasted a bit longer but when they came off, all her real eyelashes were GONE along with the fake "bunches" due to them being glued to her real eyelashes. I wanted to do something nice for her (and myself) and now she is super sad and looks like a chemo patient. All this and I paid $200 for mani/pedi and lashes of the worst quality ever. Boy....do I feel like a heel (no pun intended)....The last visit was it - I swear on everything holy - I will NOT return again. It's like vowing to never go out with that dude who treats you like dirt and yet you find yourself texting him after a month of lonely nights....just DON'T do it! read more

First issue is the staff is not friendly (except for the man who does pedicures). Secondly, they nickel & dime customers for basic services that should be covered in the cost (for example, they charge you just to remove your previous polish that you are wearing when you come to get a mani/pedi so you should remove it before you go there AND they charge you for the clear, top coat polish that gives your nails the shine... THATS CRAZY! WHO DOES THAT!?!). It was my first and last time going to there. YIKES! I do not recommend them. read more
