The WORST experience ever. Do not use them! We hired them for our move from Las Vegas to LA. Lost all the legs to our furniture and a irreplaceable cushion from our sofa. And I had to spend weeks calling them and BEGGING them to please check with the truck that picked up our stuff- just to track if they might have sent it to another address as it was filled to the brim with many other furniture from other people. We were the last on their pick-up list so there was no real designated space for us, our boxes and furniture was shoved into whatever space they had, so it was all over in the truck. The85ft truck that arrived was too big to get to our condo unit so we had to HELP THEM move our furniture from our unit and use our own small car to drive it to their truck that was a good 300 ft away. We had no choice but to use them then as we needed to get to LA asap. When the stuff was delivered, their guys were all grumpy and complaining as it was the last one for the day and they did not want to do it. Broke the side off my marble and wood table and scratched the paint off the walls by leaning the marble coffeetable top (no legs remember?) without any kind of buffer in between. I then spent the next 3 weeks calling them to ask them about my missing box. They said they were going to check but when i questioned them, no one had made an effort to track the other shipments, or even looked in the warehouse. They just told me that no one has called about finding an extra box. After a couple of calls, they resorted to giving me fake names so when I called up again to follow up, I was told that there's no such person in the company. Extremely unprofessional, and very stressful. A really bad experience for us. read more

Judging from the other reviews, these guys aren't good for longer distance moves, but I moved within San Francisco and everything turned out well. Maybe they contract out? There were a few things that would prevent an 5 star rating: I got a call they day before asking if I could do the move that day (really, like I'd be ready to move the day before I'd scheduled it? at the drop of a hat? no) but then they put me in the schedule for the next day at a time tha worked for me. I'd prefer more notice than the day before, but...; I packed MOST of my stuff, but the stuff they packed went into boxed willy nilly. It was mostly stuff that didn't matter, good thing; the charge was 50 bucks over the estimate, but by that point, I didn't really care. The good: they guys were very quick and very friendly. They didn't charge for an extra stop and it that worked out very well for me since I had bought a bed off Craigslist and had to go across town to pick it up. They were pretty much on time and were very careful not to scratch the bed they picked up and my furniture and tv.. Overall, good experience and I know I would have paid more if I had gone with any of the other highly rated Yelp companies, that couldn't even fit me in on the day I needed. You have to plan waaay in advance for those companies.... read more

Oh man, what a great company! I used them on 5/9/08 for a move from Oakland to Oakland. I searched here on Yelp for a reputable company, and after several quotes from other companies, and an odd email exchange from a highly recommended San Francisco company, I settled in with the "warm feeling" I had from Super Movers. I had a great sales rep, and an even better mover - Mike. Mike and two other guys showed up early, had two trucks (wow) and I was moved and in my new home in 4 hours. I can't believe I even enjoyed the move. So much so, I gave their cards to my apartment managers so they could share with everyone else. I don't know about the other reviews, and long distance moves, but this local move was seamless and without that extra surprise charge at the end of the move. I absolutely recommend them and will definitely use them again! read more

Ok, seriously, I used these guys today and not only were they quick on getting back to me about my inquiry, but they notified me when they arrived ad the location of pick up and were on time with my delivery. The gentlemen even called me notified me that their previous move was taking longer. These guys were friendly and helpful. I really am happy with the service. It was also a very reasonable price that they gave me. I'd definitely use them again and recommend them. Thanks Super Movers!!! MV Irvine, CA read more

We used Super Movers for a cross-country move. The estimate/scheduling process was super easy, and they gave us a much better price than most of the other companies we got quotes from. The packing process took about double their time estimate, although it was done well and nothing showed up broken. They subcontracted the delivery of our move without letting us know, which created some confusion on the delivery side as the subcontractor didn't seem to have all the information about what we had already paid for. Additionally, the guys who delivered made one go at building our bed (which was wrong and I had to redo it) and then left everything for us and wouldn't take the empty boxes with them. Our laundry basket got lost in the process, which kind of makes me wonder what else got lost that we haven't figured out yet...some items weren't numbered so I had no way of verifying that everything made it. Overall, our stuff made it without any major issues, but this wasn't an exceptional move. Their price was lowest, so I suppose you get what you pay for. read more

This is the worst expericne i have had in in my 5 years in America... They lost most of my valuable stuff, for all i know they could have done something else to it and they werre arrogant in when I questiioned them about it. they even told me to wait for my delivery and never showed up i had to rechedue. Net i paid them $1500 to lose my stuff around $2000.it would have been better if I had dumped all my stuff in gargbage while moving, atleast i did not have to pay someone to lose it.. i wish the ratungs were in negative as well as i would have given them max negative read more

I can*t believe these people are still in operation. I used them back in May of 2010 to move from Bethlehem, GA to Sierra Vista, AZ.They failed to unload my refrigerator along with many tools and home goods. They where then operating out of Southern CA. I called them immediately and was informed that as soon as they had a truck was coming eastbound on Interstate 10 they would deliver my belongings. I was a short 300 miles east from LA, and they had NO trucks going east for three months. I did some investigating and the had no cargo insurance, which is required by law. Their authority to haul freight had been revoked, and my only recourse would have been to go to California and take legal action. At that time the BBB gave them a F grade. Check out all of their licensing and insurance. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON! This is my first entry on Yelp - I signed up today to specifically warn other people from using this company, and from looking at the previous posting, I can say I fully support Selina V's experience. I also recently filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau because they are so shady. If there was a rating of zero I'd give them a 0 out of 5. Please check out moving companies with the BBB.org before using ANY company. I didn't have many expensive, irreplaceable items, but it's just not worth the headache with their attitude and they are so incredibly rude. In addition to the missing and broken items, they just have terrible customer service overall. They also will charge you for things along the way so it ends up being considerably more than the estimate. Another website I recently found is movingscam.com. Super Mover's claim management company is listed here as a disreputable company. So that's my advice, here's my story: I hired them for a long-distance move from LA to Seattle. Their sales staff is actually very nice and appears to be quite professional, but the actual people you deal with after they have your money is a different story. I also had the same problem as Selina V where I would call them to ask when they would deliver my items. They never called me back after two requests, told me to call dispatch and stop calling them directly. When I did speak to the extremely rude and hostile dispatch person he told me that I needed to wait around until they called me the day before my items arrived! They never actually told me the final weight of my items even after several requests. I was not at the pickup location when they picked up the items, but they somehow tacked on an extra fee for having them pack the items and never explained the fee. The packed a mirror with a framed picture with NO PADDING WHATSOEVER, I'm talking not even a piece of paper to keep the mirror from breaking. So when the mirror was delivered, the glass was completely shattered in hundreds of pieces and the frame was cracked. Even the subcontracted driver was shocked that they had "packed" it that way, and said that the long-distance movers know they won't get repeat business, so they usually get the fees and then don't pack your stuff well. And this was from the driver!! The problem is once they have your items you can't close the contract and get your stuff until you fully pay them, and then there's no way to get your $$ back. I went through their Anthem Claim Management company to try and get my money back for the mirror and packing charge and Anthem stated that even though we paid them $130 to pack the items (they originally quoted us $100 and never explained the extra $30 charge), they wouldn't give us back anything except the $0.60 per pound for the mirror and that the packing issue wasn't going to be issued and "you can't do anything it so don't waste your time". Unbelievable. Apparently when you sign the documents it doesn't mean they're actually going to provide the service they agree to. On top of that we are also missing a file cabinet and the top of a lamp - they delivered the stand but kept the lampshade. Again, use a reputable company with a good BBB history and look at movingscam.com. This company is rated "satisfactory" by BBB because they acknowledge complaints, but note that they have quite an extensive complaint list. read more

So many things of mine vanished while they moved me from one apartment to another (on the same floor!!) This was not my choice but residents were REQUIRED (by MERCY HOUSING) to use them and sign our rights away. A rattan chair and some tall postal tubes (holding a LOT of artwork) were gone immediately. I was told they were in storage. After I was moved back into my original apartment, the list of missing items grew. Did they throw them out? My journals were missing! Medical equipment, tools, my complete Seinfeld collection, new fans, a sewing machine etc. etc. Additionally, they smashed some porcelain dolls and damaged an antique watercolor. Additionally, the "movers" were rude and slovenly and impatient. I was worried when they got near my dog as they didn't like pets! Marcy Housing FORCED us to use this company. They basically said "touch Luck"!!! AVOID USING THIS COMPANY!!!!! they are THE WORST!!! read more

Update 3-12-10: Not surprisingly, things have gone very badly. Super Movers refuses to speak to me. It was clear from the beginning that my only option was to hire a lawyer. However, if I could afford a lawyer, I could have afforded a more reputable moving company in the first place. There has been no resolution. My furniture is badly damaged, and there's not a damn thing I can do about it. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE SUPER MOVERS. read more

As if this place wasn't crooked enough...the owner lied to the CA Superior Court in Redwood City claiming he had served papers to my daughter and me - at an address where we no longer lived! Avoid this company...plain and simple. I used these folks for a move from SF to LA. Like another reviewer, I had a positive experience with the sales staff in SF; they did a good job of arranging for someone to come by and give me a quote. Also, the crew that packed and loaded my things in SF were good. The problem came in LA. These guys were not as professional as the SF crew, and due to the negligence of one of the crew, the automatic garage gate at my new place was damaged, rendering it non-functional until it could be repaired. Then there was the issue of trying to get the company to pay for the needed repairs: this proved fruitless....unreturned calls, dragging their feet, complaining about having to pay up...this is all I have gotten from them. As these folks are leaving me stuck with an appreciable bill for repairs caused by their negligence, I cannot recommend them at all. read more

WORST EVER - - STAY AWAY. I should have checked Yelp before using this company. DITTO, DITTO, DITTO on all other poor reviews. Worst experience ever. Created soooooo much stress for me. Poor communication. Total rip off. Received NASTY message because I did not call exactly at 9:00 to pay first payment after pick-up including the word f_ _ _ . VERY un professional. Broke several things. Just wanted them gone so paid an additional $600.00 more than quote for a few boxes! They were so difficult I knew I would only get abuse from them. Used a company 3 years earlier that was wonderful so had something to compare. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE read more

This company totally sucks. They deserve less than 0 stars. When my friend told me he was using them to move him and store his stuff I looked them up on Yelp: my blood ran cold. This company is as bad as anyone says they are. They are at best sh*t business people, at the worst crooks. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Oh, yeah: the address of record, on Shaw Road, is no longer valid. read more

Ok , Moving from one place to another with movers no matter if it is local or across the country is probably not the most fun experience. It is usually always stressful. I recently moved from Santa Clara to Georgia and I was sceptical of all companies including super movers. they had 33 BBB complaints in 36 months. But so do many. Think of the nature of the business and the stupidity of most people who dont know how to plan a move. Super Movers cam in at a good price over $1000 less than some companies who tried to steer me clear of them because it was impossible to be that cheap. I packed all my items myself , wrapped it all professionally and super movers came and did a in home estimate at my request and honored it to the T. The Sales side was handled professionally, I spoke to Paul Juster, and the movers were easy to work with and very carefull. The person who came to move me was named Mike if that helps. It took a little while to recieve the items in GA but they had to fill a truck with enough goods to cover the cost of diesel. that was fine. It took almost 3 weeks. It all went to storage so no big whoop! Only 1 week after they quoted. That was the only issue , and for me it was minor. The movers on the delivering end kept me informed of when they were coming and unloade my 1 bedroom in less than 2 hrs. I was willing to help some and they even offer me a bottled water, something I should have offered them. I did a lot of homework and due diligence to get it all in writing and pack my goods correctly so if you do the same, I would recomend these guys. Just cover your ass. It doesnt matter who you use, ask questions and get a binding estimate. So far as could see all my items were in one peice and nothing was destroyed. Good Job guys! Remember , these guys arent making alot of money , so whatever you can do to help them , I suggest you do it and dont expect any mover to do it for you. Happy Moving! read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!! I just signed up today to write this review! STAY AWAY! This company should get closed! Horrible customer service. They charge you at least $300 extra! I was told that they won't deliver my stuff and would charge me $550 more just because I refused to pay the extra money!!! 8 of our boxes are missing and they are telling me that stuff like this always happens!! I wish I could hire a lawyer and end their business! AGAIN, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!!! read more

Super Movers was great. Very friendly, professional, and efficient. After watching them pack everything, my husband and I wondered why we never used movers before. I thought I had packed everything well enough, but they made sure all of it was well padded and protected even further. They also asked which specific boxes were fragile and what could be on the bottom of box piles. They were very careful with it all. When our stuff was delivered across country, the driver was one of the people who had originally packed our stuff on the truck, so I recognized him right away. The storage facility was pretty disorganized and taking a while, and, since I had an appointment to get to, the driver offered to take of getting everything sorted out so I could leave. Later, he sent a picture of how everything was stored so I could find things as I needed them more easily. For both packing and delivery, the crew was excellent, prices were reasonable, and I highly recommend Super Movers. read more

I have moved with Super Movers from Phoenix, AZ to KY. It was a great and relaxing experience they took the inventory list. they confirmed that there will be no additional charged. I actually changed the inventory list about 2 days before the move and added a number of items and they didnt even charge me for them. I really want to say that the company did a great job - i spoke to a few rep's and always got the information that i needed and also was always updated with what was going on - loading time and delivery. I took the full packing service and they did such a good that everyhing came back just as it left!!!! - i am so happy!! The service was great. the price is right and the whole process couldn't have gone any better!! I will recommend this company to my friends, family and anyone else that i hear about that wants to move. SUPER JOB - SUPER MOVERS!!! read more

Worst Move of my life. Quoted me one price and then added an additional $3000 upon delivery. I was told pay or lose all my household good. The move was poored done. the packing the worst i have every seen. drawers were dumped into boxed regardless of over contents. appliances on top of dishes. half my good crystal glassed destroyed. not one single piece of packing paper used. very little bubble wrap. my furnture whick is all very new is damaged. glass shelves and door panels missing. several boxes of good dishes and serving pieces missing. read more

This company is terrible! I told them EXACTLY what I had to move and got a reasonable quote. I was told they'd be here from 12-2. Called at 2, told they'd be there at 3. Called at 3, told they'd be here at 4:30. Got here at 5:30!!!!! My whole day was wasted waiting for them. When they got here, the supervisor took a call from his wife right away and made me stand there waiting in my house. Then the REAL price was given to me about 15 mins later after he took other phonecalls in the cab of his truck. $700 more than the quote! It was too late to call anyone else and I had to put my move off till the next day. They give you a cheap price to get your business and jack it up since most people don't have the luxury of waiting another day like I did. Rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

AVOID THIS MOVING COMPANY. They will cheat you! I originally went with super movers because they provided a binding estimate. As I found it a binding estimate does not mean anything if the company doesn't deliver on the service they say they will provide. Supermovers sent an adjuster out to my apartment in SF and he gave me a quote based on my aprtment building set up and my furniture. I signed a contract saying, "Movers will only assemble furniture that they disassembled on day of move. Movers will not reassemble furniture that was not disassembled by them. Movers will not reassemble baby cribs" I was reassured of this both by the adjusted and the actual mover who took my furniture apart that they would reassemble the furniture when it was delivered. Upon delivery, the mover dropped my furniture and tried to leave. When I tried to ask him to put together the furniture he was rude and started yelling at me that it was not his job to put together the furniture. I was left to do all of the reassembly MYSELF! When I tried to file a complaint with management they were also rude and gave me the run around, promising to look into and not calling back or asking me to call another person in the company. So not use this moving company. You will regret it. read more

Super Movers moved me to another state quickly and for a good price. They did a very good job making sure everything was protected in the move, including some antique furniture. They never tried to negotiate more money than their estimate and they were friendly to boot. Only knock against them were some scheduling snafus to get an estimate (they provided a 10% discount for this) and they didn't return some phone calls *before* the move was scheduled. Once the move was scheduled though they showed up on time and did a wonderful job. read more

I've used Super Movers for two moves now and I'm extremely pleased with how skilled, fast, and professional they were on both occasions. They pack not only quickly but carefully - not a single one of my items was damaged even though there were a lot of fragile items. All of the furniture was thoroughly wrapped and transported, and they took apart and reassembled my (pretty complicated) bed very quickly and effectively. Importantly, their prices were better than several of the highest rated movers in the area, many of who charge extra for packing supplies. They even came back the next week to pick up the empty boxes. Would definitely recommend them!! read more

This is the worst company I have ever done business with not professional at all. They did not show up on time. The took my furniture apart, delivered it but did not put it back together, just left it on the floor my young daughter-in-law didn't know that she had to ask for the furniture to be put together. My contract stated that if they take any furniture apart then they had to put it back together. So please think twice before you contact this company.! read more

I wish I could have registered on Yelp sooner to write this review. More so, I wish I could give them no star at all! The service I experienced from this company was horrible! I moved from So. California to the Bay Area this month. Had I been diligent enough to research moving companies, I would have never used them. If you read the other reviews you will find that this company sucks when it comes to long distance moves. However, because my experience was so bad, I will never consider using them again! Here's what went down. I ended up paying $895, when they had quoted me $675. It would have been more had I not defended myself, and could had PROBABLY been less if I had any energy left after dealing with their utter unprofessionalism. Second, when they went to pick up my things, they lacked the tools necessary to dissemble my bed, so they ended up ruining two of the nuts and bolts. I was just glad they didn't end up breaking the head board, since they struggled so much with it due to being unprepared. Third, they broke (yes, they did) the valve to the water line under my sink when they attempted to disconnect my refrigerator. My landlord had to come to the apartment and call a plumber to replace the valve. In the meantime, the entire apartment complex went without water for 1.5 hours! Fourth, they were unable to deliver my furniture on the agreed date, and they wanted to deliver it a whole week later (although they did not have an exact date, they said 3 days to 1 week later). They really got an earful from me this time and they were able to deliver the next day at 8:30 pm for an additional charge of $75 because, as they said, they had to contract out in order to get my things delivered the next day. I felt so out of control and at their mercy during the whole process, just because I thought I was getting a deal, which didn't even end up being so in the end! Do yourself a favor and hire someone with a good reputation and avoid the unnecessary stress Super Movers will add to your move. read more

Super Movers was recommended by friends of our realter, Sylvia Martinelli (see my review.) It only cost $900 to move essentially two bedrooms, a kitchen, a couple bathrooms, and a family room's worth of stuff. This also included $100 of furniture protection; now how good is that?! The estimater, Mike Louis, was very kind and thorough, answering any questions that we had. The crew of three were excellent, thoroughly taping up and carefully loading our belongings into their truck. They showed up at 8-45 A.M. (15 minutes earlier than originally scheduled) and left for our condo by 12-30 and thoroughly unpacked everything and helped set up furniture. They left our condo at 5-00 P.M. They even came back to our old house to move the refrigerator out of the kitchen for the new owners. They accidently took our keys to the condo, but a one of the guys, who lives in Redwood City, returned them on his way home and was very apologetic. The only two things that got broken were a fan and a door on our omwar which can easily be replaced and in the case of the omwar fixed. Two items out of a bunch of things is not bad, isolated incidents if anything. It was a whole day's worth of work, excluding the last week of unpacking which I never want to go through again. But, if I ever need movers again, I will call Super Movers and recommend them to family and friends. So, for a safe move with friendly employees at low prices, Super Movers cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.! read more
