I do not recommend this company. Ive had one of their scooters for over a year now and its been nothing but problems. While I understand maintaining is part of owning a vehicle, it hasnt been pretty, heres why:
*My first problem is that my scooter did not reach the speed advertised. Its upsetting because the 1500 watt scooter that I purchased does the "advertised" speed of the next model down, the 1300. The price different between these two is a few hundred dollars.
If I wanted to go 33mph (all Ive been getting), then I could have saved a FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS and got the next model.
This is of course assuming THAT will go the advertised speed.
Ive recently had the company work on my scooter because I was hoping they could make it run like they advertised, but after getting it back, STILL 33. And yes, I do understand your weight / terrain makes a difference. However, even on downhills (I weigh 150) I WONT GET ABOVE 36.
*Next we have the online video repairs. I wouldnt say theyre very helpful. In fact, some of their videos were uploaded by their customers.
*My other issues with this include a burnt out "control box" after ~10 miles, a faulty brake safety feature, and another faulty control box that, once the scooter was in motion, CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE even when I wasnt applying the throttle. If this happens to you and you dont think about switching off the ignition (thank god) you could be in for some real trouble. Also to note: this would happen randomly. I did send it in to get fixed as its something I couldn't have happening (wheres the speed isnt *as* much of an issue).
The last problem I have with this company is their ability to communicate. Now if youre looking at this youve *hopefully* been to the BBB and checked out their situation. That being said, if you expect them ship an item to you, you need to call them (NOT EMAIL) every day. Is this convenient? No. Is it something I can live with? Yes. Maybe it wont matter to you.
All of this aside, if youre willing to buy a less-expensive scooter (800 watt looks like an ok price) and be willing to maintain it yourself, you might want to give it a try. However, with the experience Ive had over the last year, I cant recommend this particular product or company.
