I rented a bike for the week is was in North Myrtle Beach from BOARDWALK BIKES. Renting a bike was so easy with shop owners, Hannah and CJ! It was a great experience! They are super friendly, knowledgable and they offer a fair price for a quality bike. They set me up with a Jamis Allegro A2. They delivered the bike to my beach rental property, setting it up with clipless peddles, bike lock and water bottle carrier. They picked the bike up at the end of my stay. I rent a bike everywhere I travel and this was by far one of the best experiences. These two are fantastic. I will be renting from BOARDWALK BIKES when I am back in the Myrtle Beach area. Rented 2 beach cruisers during our stay in Myrtle Beach for the full day ($33/bike) which came with a lock, so were able to keep them overnight to complete the 24 hour rental which was great. Employees were super helpful in setting up the bikes before we left; made adjustments as necessary & took a test run to ensure a good fit. They have detailed maps of local bikeable trails/routes which was so indispensable and allowed us to explore a lot more much easier. Local knowledge was also crucial for our beach cruise & they helped us with timing around tides. They picked up the bikes from our hotel which was a convenient touch. Stopped in today to purchase a bike seat for my eBike. Hannah was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in matching my specifications for comfort with the correct seat. She encouraged a trial ride around the parking lot to make sure the seat worked for me. It was easy to install and worked beautifully for me. The customer service at the shop was awesome! The couple who took care of us were very helpful and super kind, they were easy to reach if we had any questions. We were a big group and they had enough bikes for all of us even tricycles. They helped us with adjusting the seat heights, and made sure we were safe all along the way. Was in Myrtle Beach a few years ago and called to inquire about bike rental for my adult autistic nephew. Told them what I wanted and they delivered it to my condo. Rented a couple of biked here and although their shop is a little off the main strip, it is well worth the visit. Nice friendly people with a good knowledge of the local bike paths as well as a good selection of bikes. Highly recommend and would visit them again. read more
