Went back on a Thursday still wasn't done I understand they're not a maintenance shop, but they do offer this service when I walked in on Thursday there was no one in the shop and they were just standing around talking this place, definitely needs new employees will not be going back

After a few days the tracking information shows that it is stalled and not moving between destinations. When I contacted FedEX to find out what's going on, they freely admitted that the shipment is lost and at some point between transfers was not scanned in, even though the trucks that were moving it reached their destinations. They informed me that they could do nothing unless Cyclegear submitted a claim or a ticket on behalf of the delivery.  I contacted Cyclegear to get them to resolve this issue and of course, they pulled the same old Corporate nonsense. "we can't do anything about this. I don't know what FedEx is talking about. We can't submit any tickets. I don't have access to those systems." yadda yadda yadda. just stonewalling me while holding over 700 of my hard earned dollars.  I then explained to them that the North Charleston Store here appears to actually have the helmet in question in stock, and that I would just go and pick my helmet up from that store's inventory. just refund me for the Helmet i ordered and I will repurchase there since it's available. i PAID for this helmet in full. you HAVE what I paid for. just let me pick it up since your shipping failed.but no. of course not. Cyclegear sees fit to take my money and give me NOTHING AT ALL in return. No recourse. Cyclegear is taking no action to resolve this, just leaving the lost helmet eternally in limbo with FedEx and offering me no compensation. Something that would be so simple to solve becomes impossible because some stooge in an office hiding behind a phone is too lazy to fix it.  This is a lifelong boycott. I am an avid motorcyclist who lives covered in motorcycle gear, and I will never spend money with Cyclegear, Revzilla, J&P cycles or any of their puppet shell companies ever again. And if that helmet ever does arrive (which I seriously doubt it eve will, FedEx was clear on this) I'm immediately returning it. You will never get my money again, because you lack the basic skills to deal with simple situations in a fair and courteous way, and that is unforgivable for a retail business.

We were told it would cost about $5000 for the repairs but this figure changed weekly and so the repairs were never done. Ultimately, the figure was so high that State Farm chose to total the bike and pay us over $10,000 for the bike. We were heartbroken but with a bent frame, the bike was never going to ride the same again anyway. We got past it and replace the bike with a new Harley Davidson Street Glide Special-ZERO complaints. What we like the most about American Biker is their large inventory of bikes, Polaris, Indians, and 4 wheelers, Tons of fabulous gear & accessories including authentic Harley Davidson boots ( which Harley Davidson in both their North Charleston or Summerville stores do NOT CARRY)! Our interactions with their helpful staff has always been positive and their Parts Department is OUTSTANDING!! We are also kept in the loop of upcoming events held at American Biker by emails sent to us from Ann in the Parts Dept. Ms. Ann can always be found directing traffic during these events-she's very hands on and interactive. American Biker is a one stop shop for everything relating to riding. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the products sold are first quality. We pay 1/3 of the price for parts at American Biker than we pay at Low Country Harley Davidson. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would. Great Store Kudos!

Change in engine size is barely perceptible even with performance enhancing mods. Largely ignored by the sales team, came with the intention of buying more parts or, just trading in and starting fresh. There was one sales associate who seemed to be a straight shooter.. so I just kept eating my road pop tart and listened intently even though I was really waiting for that TIV report. I never had this issue before. Some made eye contact and kept right on walking by. Maybe it was my tattoos or I just looked like I didn't have the disposable income. Usually you're surrounded by a flock of salesman. Must be new management or owners because the merchandising in store is, lacking something to be desired. I hope they have a solid customer base out here that's not Military, because this dealership is everything I'm NOT looking for in a purchase experience. Same thing happened at new river which is sad because I really liked the guy who worked the parts counter. There are worse things than having to spend a small fortune in motorcycle parts elsewhere. Like Hardknox. 10/10 do NOT recommend. Then there was the one employee who complained about me smelling like the devils lettuce. Within EARSHOT!!! I looked right at her and she would not look up at me. She must have forgotten she's not trolling someone behind a keyboard.

Less than a month later and with under 1,000 miles on the bike, the light strip they installed stopped working. What's frustrating is that the light kit supposedly has a lifetime warranty, yet I was told I would still need to pay for a diagnostic fee just to find out why it isn't working. Their diagnostic rate is $150 per hour. In my opinion, if a part fails that quickly after installation, it should be inspected under warranty without charging the customer just to look at it. On top of that, the customer service experience was disappointing. Instead of working toward a reasonable solution, the conversation turned into an argument. After spending this kind of money on a motorcycle, I expected better support. I regret purchasing my bike from this dealership and hope others read reviews carefully before deciding to buy here.

Took it to Myrtle Beach Performance and by the time I got home Maiko was calling me to tell me all the things wrong with it, including that it didn't have air compression release valves on it. Someone had removed them and plugged it up. Within 2 weeks he had all parts in and bike fixed. He did some extras and fixed the carburetor, put an oil light and neutral light on it. It runs awesome and no longer eating up batteries. The man's knowledge and ability to diagnose problems is amazing. Wish I had known about him 3 years ago. I would have saved a lot of money and been riding my bike instead of it sitting in some bike shop. Backstory: I met him at the Dairy Queen on 17 business in Surfside Beach. He had on his business shirt and I asked him about it. We got to talking and my Big Dog was in the parking lot. I'd just gotten it out of another shop. I mentioned it to him snd he wanted to see it. We went out and the screws had fallen out of the ignition cover. He said follow me to my shop snd I'll fix it. It was 8:30 at night. We followed him and he fixed the bike and wouldn't take a penny for his time. Within no time it burnt up a battery and I called him. All I can say is don't hesitate to take your bike to him. He's a world champion bike racer and he's a world champion at fixing bikes.
