State Farm sent our 2005 Harley Davidson Fat Boy Anniversary Edition here after our accident. We were hoping to have the bike repaired and back within a few weeks/months. We were told it would cost about $5000 for the repairs but this figure changed weekly and so the repairs were never done. Ultimately, the figure was so high that State Farm chose to total the bike and pay us over $10,000 for the bike. We were heartbroken but with a bent frame, the bike was never going to ride the same again anyway. We got past it and replace the bike with a new Harley Davidson Street Glide Special-ZERO complaints. What we like the most about American Biker is their large inventory of bikes, Polaris, Indians, and 4 wheelers, Tons of fabulous gear & accessories including authentic Harley Davidson boots ( which Harley Davidson in both their North Charleston or Summerville stores do NOT CARRY)! Our interactions with their helpful staff has always been positive and their Parts Department is OUTSTANDING!! We are also kept in the loop of upcoming events held at American Biker by emails sent to us from Ann in the Parts Dept. Ms. Ann can always be found directing traffic during these events-she's very hands on and interactive. American Biker is a one stop shop for everything relating to riding. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the products sold are first quality. We pay 1/3 of the price for parts at American Biker than we pay at Low Country Harley Davidson. Took my brand new 2022 Honda CBR300r for its first service. The technician overfilled the motor oil. I didn't notice until I smelt oil burning on the way home. So, I checked my site glass and the oil level was way over. I called the shop and they told me to bring it back. The bike calls for 1.6 US qt after draining and replacing the oil filter. The technician said his boss "Dave" told him to do 3 qts. Now my bike is leaking and has a cloud like oil coming from the motor. As of now, I haven't called them back to let them know. I will first thing when they are open. Very upset, as this is my first motorcycle. read more

While working in the Charleston area, I wanted to take a look at the Indian Scout Bobber in person. Back in Los Angeles, the closest Indian Dealership is 80 miles away. So I had some time to kill and decided to go check out what what they had and see the bike I'm interested in. First I noticed a great selection of Indians. And they had quite a few nice used Harleys, if that's your ride of choice. Rob came over and introduced himself and asked if I had any questions. I explained that I live in California and that I wasn't going to be able to buy there, and Rob's reply? 'No problem, can I answer any questions for you?' Ummmm... What? You are going to spend time talking to a guy that lives out of town and therefore will buy the bike at another dealer in another state? Yep. That's exactly what he did. He answered every question honestly. Offered to start the bike so I could hear the stock pipes. Talked about accessories. You name it. That's it. I'm sold. I wanted the bike before I walked in the doors. Seeing it confirmed that. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and accomplished the service very promptly at a reasonable price. I highly recommend that you consider using them, if you live in the Charleston area. I recently moved to the area and was looking for somewhere to get my Harley serviced, but didn't want to go to a Harley dealership due to poor experiences in the past. I lucked out and found American Biker. They were able to squeeze me in before the weekend, so I could hit the pavement. The service department was knowledgeable and friendly. They finished up a day earlier than when I requested to have the bike back. I'll definitely be taking my bike back there again and hope to find time soon to go check out their gear. read more

A pretty nice catch-all motorcycle dealership, with everything from victory to Indian to Polaris. They even have slingshot. An impressive repair shop can handle most road issues. The swag is hit or miss, but if you are tired of standard Harley dealerships, this is a good place to visit. read more

American biker is a horrible business 6 weeks ago they let two people pick up my bike without permission my bike is now stolen I have talked to the owner I have talked to the owner Rich numerous times I've asked for a new bike I've asked for as little as a rental car they have done nothing to help. My wife gave that bike to me 6 years ago and because of American biker Bad Business practice it is now gone and I have nothing. Rich the owner numerous times said that it was their fault and that I would be happy I came to American biker. 6 weeks later I could not be more unhappy I will never ever go to American biker again read more

First I would highly recommend the salesperson he was incredibly communicative and I would have purchased from him again a matter a fact I was actually going to get a second four wheeler. We purchased the four wheeler on December 23, 2016. Today is January 21, 2017 and it is in their shop. The service manager is telling us that it was submerged in mud or water that it is not covered under warranty. In trying to understand why the extra $2000 warranty that we paid for does not cover this motor problem the service managers rebuttal back to us is that this isn't his fault he didn't submerge the four wheeler. The four wheeler has less than 40 hours on it and was not submerged in mud or water. It is our understanding through others now that we have investigated this is a ongoing problem with this brand. Mr. Carter who purchased one from them also said they were told the same thing and that it would cost $3000 to rebuild it and he too had less than 40 hours on it. Needless to say he no longer owns a Polaris. Sadly this has not been a good experience for us and I would not recommend a Polaris or their service department. read more

These guys may call themselves bikers, but that doesn't mean they know their way around a motorcycle. They are a Triumph dealership, yet when I called for general service questions the technician didn't even know what the basic 6k mi service consisted of. Because he didn't know he started b.s.ing and quoted me $350 when the dealership in Batesburge quoted $120. I called back just for curiosity as to what they would tell me the second time around and the story was completely different for the "work" that "needed" to be done. I wasn't going to go in there after that experience, but I needed some jets for my Triumph. I went in and got the jets then went back because I wanted some more sizes. The second time around they gave me the wrong sizes after I told him they weren't the same. He assured me they were and that I was mistaken. Wrong! This place is not next door either! I would not trust them with my bike, not to mention the staff seems a little self righteous. The service counter clerk didn't even know what size M5 was. They also told me their price was $60 to put on a tire if I brought them jut the wheel. Velocity's price was $20! People that spend their money here are purely paying for the "biker" image and not the years of experience that a real mechanic has. read more
