When I removed the parts from the box and started assembling it, I quickly realized that I was in over my head. So happy I chose to call Pee Dee BicycleCompany. left a message and they returned my call. They were able to pick up the bike unassembled, take it back to the shop, and finish assembling it. Teresa came to pick it up. She was very nice, as are the people working there. I got it back fully assembled. Overall, I've had good experiences here. Employees seem friendly and Gary, the bike tech, took lots of time answering my many questions when I recently brought my bike in for a tune up. He also showed me various products like chain lubes, brake pads, and other things that I had questions about without being pushy about trying to sell them to me. A basic bike tune on a 26 inch mountain bike is $59.99 plus tax and they have all the stuff here you'd expect to find in a mom and pop bike store. One cool thing they do is they text you when your bike is ready to be picked up and they have more than one spot in the store to pay and check out so you dont have to wait as long if there are multiple customers trying to check out. It seems like the kind of place that welcomes customers that want to come in and just talk about bikes and ask questions and that's quite nice. read more

My new to me used bicycle had an overnight flat. I wasn't getting much exercise with it in that condition so very helpful hubby called Pee Dee for a new tube. They answered the phone promptly, had the correct tube and hubby headed down to grab the tube and get me back in the bike seat. Great customer service, helpful and knowledgeable. I am in my 70s and not getting as much exercise on my bike as I would like because the heat is just too strong during the summer here in Myrtle Beach. I decided to get a trainer to put my hybrid bike on so I could exercise in my air-conditioned home. I went to Pee Dee Bicycles and I was very impressed with the knowledge of the young sales lady when it came to the differences in the various types of trainers. She briefly reviewed the trainers and I settled on a fluid trainer made by CycleOps. I could not be more pleased with its afforability and how easy it was to set up (less than 10 minutes) and start exercising. It's very quiet and easy to adjust for various amounts of tension on the tire. I get a great workout without suffering in the heat. My first dealings with Pee Dee Bicycle was with their service tech Gary on the phone. I was looking to get a new bike assembled which was purchased online. Gary was super nice and very helpful and agreed to have the bike shipped directly to the store. About a week later I stopped on the store in person to check on the delivery and they confirmed they had it and would get to work on assembling asap. While I was there I spoke with Dave a very knowledgeable salesman who spent a fair amount of time fielding my questions and setting me up for two test rides. He couldn't have been nicer. I decided shorty after to purchase one of the e-bikes and called them and it went very smoothly. When I arrived to pick up the bike the staff was awesome in going over everything and helped load it into my truck. I highly recommend Pee Dee bikes they are professional and the store is classy! I brought my MTB to Myrtle Beach for a week worth of riding, and ended up having a crazy mechanical within the 1st mile of riding. This happened on a Sunday Morning, and this awesome Trek Bike Shop is open on Sundays. I brought my bike in, and they worked on my bike while I waited. They charged a very reasonable price and also had the part in stock, and had me out the door in no time. I was able to rack up almost 150 miles that week, but if it wasn't for them, it would have been less than a mile. read more
