They had two alpacas that you could feed and take pictures with outside. They were so cute, I want to see them again. Now to the restaurant itself. We sat inside the restaurant and the restaurant itself is pretty cute though very dimly lite for dinner. My friend and I shared the tequenos and the ceviche sampler. The tequenos were tasty, and I enjoyed the sauce with them. The ceviche sampler was also good, though I wish that the ceviches had a little bit more of a difference between them, in terms of flavors. They all tasted pretty similar.

The only downside was the limited and not very clean restrooms during a busy event. First, let's give an applause to their social media team for helping me discover this place. The game day promotions caught my attention, and they absolutely delivered. The decor, atmosphere, and energy were all fantastic. You could tell Inca Social was well prepared, with a fully staffed team that stayed attentive throughout our visit. Whether it was quickly finding us an extra chair or constantly refilling our water, the service was excellent. The food was equally impressive. I highly recommend the lomo saltado, and the pasta served alongside it was surprisingly delicious. The Inca Balls were also a great appetizer with a light, crispy exterior and a savory filling. The drinks were solid as well and rounded out the experience nicely. My only complaint is that there are only two restrooms, and given how busy the restaurant was, they weren't as clean as I would have hoped. Overall, this is a lively spot with great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere that I'd happily return to.

Especially at their prices & the hoity toity atmosphere, you'd think they'd also be well-run and reasonably accommodating, eh? Nope. Worth the drive? Not any more. Worth the wait? Definitely not anymore! For as many times as we've frequented Pisco in Reston with a small group, one would think they'd get their seating straightened out. Every time we've attempted to eat here on a reservation, they've had issues. Never set up and ready to seat us. Never prepared upon opening... and it's never busy when they first open which is why we always go early. But, they are NEVER ready to seat us. What's the use of making a reservation a week in advance if you're not going to be ready to seat the party nor accommodate the request? How would you like to find out at the last minute that they're going to split up your party at two different tables on two different sides of the restaurant because they weren't prepared when you gave them a week's notice via reservation? The food isn't that good to have to keep going through the challenge of being seated every time we make a reservation for a group. They're really pricey, too. So, certainly not worth this chronic headache. There are PLENTY of other places in the Town Center or in Herndon/Reston in general where you can get a tasty meal, not drop a day's pay, and have your entire party served well together. The taco joint across the street is definitely a more pleasant experience, for example, and I would certainly recommend bartaco...give them a try instead for a fun environment and some good eats.

Top service for such a little place. Bonus! The reason I will always give this place my business is because my wife left her purse here once, and when we finally figured out that she left it here, the owner already had it waiting for us, contents untouched. That's an extra mile to go, especially in a neighborhood that can sometimes be a tad sketchy. Two big thumbs up. A+

I decided to give Super Chicken a try when in need of a quick lunch close to home. I opted for the half chicken combo with a side of black beans and plantains. My food was ready well under the quoted 25-30 minute pickup time. I found the food here so-so. The white meat ran a little dry. The chicken itself had a nicely seasoned skin, but the meat underneath tasted muted without any spice notes. Charcoal cooked birds usually have a hint of flavor from the coals, but the rendition here lacked any discernible smoke. The sides tasted as expected. The black beans were bland, but at least were creamy and well cooked. I have no issues with the well fried and perfectly sweet plantains. The sauces here are on par with area competitors, though the staff here are unusually stingy with extra container requests. Overall, while my meal was fine there was nothing "super" about Super Chicken compelling enough to merit a return visit besides proximity. Superior charcoal chicken is easily available elsewhere nearby.

However, I came here twice in the past 8 months so I can leave a fair review. This place used to be the best, but unfortunately the quality has diminished. Their yucca used to be really good too, and wasn't as starchy as the other chicken pollo spots, but when I had it today, it was the same as all the other spots. Thick and starchy, when they used to be definitely more smooth and you can bite through it. Not sure if it's how they prepare it, the type of yucca they use, or what, but it's not the same. The chicken quality also slightly went down from when I last remembered, which is quite unfortunate. I came for late lunch so the lunch crowd was still there, but sad to say, I probably won't be coming back and trying a new spot instead. Thanks for the good memories in the early 2000's.
