This is our family's "go-to" place in the Tysons Corner area (on Route 7) for carryout Peruvian chicken. Overall, it has many pluses. First, the seasoning of the yummy charcoal-grilled chicken is really nice. Second, the yucca fries are wonderful, but you may have to wait a few minutes for a new batch as they are a popular item. Third, this Super Chicken was renovated in summer 2025 - with new signs for menu options. It still has a casual vibe if you choose to dine in. The only minus is that prices have risen a lot since 2022 (as with many restaurants). But the family specials are a treat every now and then.
The Tysons Super Chicken is top notch. My husband and I stopped in for lunch over the weekend- it was packed. We had to wait a few minutes after ordering for our whole chicken, but it was worth the wait. The interior has been renovated recently, it's cute inside and I recommend dining inside for a comfortable place to eat.
Yes, please I wasn't super excited about trying this place however I was forced into trying it from someone else. The prices are a little expensive however the flavor is worth the price you're paying. The amount of yucca that you get as a side is ridiculous and I love it. The flavors are so good as well. The chicken is so good and so are the sauces. I need more. There is plenty of seating however they stay super busy so make sure you get there and eat. I also tried the dulce cookies at the register and I must say the bigger ones are so much better than the smaller ones but they are delicious nonetheless. I can't wait to return back and eat more of the food. The menu isn't huge however it's definitely worth going to.
Always good here. I order super chicken for a company luncheon. Everyone enjoyed it, the chicken especially. Only issue was the Yuca was a bit dried out this visit. Everything was ready and on time, the nice gentleman even brought it outside and loaded it into my car. It was the hottest day ever, but he did it with a smile.
Came for their lunch special ($15 for a half chicken dark and two sides)! The lunch surge definitely happens around noon, so the line can be medium to long. The food was delicious and very authentic. Loved the smokey flavors of the Peruvian chicken, yuca, and their sauces. Extremely generous portion sizes as well. Plenty of indoor seating!
The FOOD, and SERVICE, are amazing here they listen to the guest before and after THE VALUE is great and plentiful I hadn't came here for a while but it's always great to come back and have an actual meal that is AMAZING I had A HALF CHICKEN with FRENCH FRIES 2nd side was CHICK PEAS I believe those who love GOOD FOOD and VALUE this is the place to come for a great hearty meal
Best juiciest, chicken around! Hands down, and I've been all over the DMV. The fried rice is amazing the plain Cell always fresh and not dry, and the staff is a friendliest around. The manager always has a smile on his face and so does his staff. Very clean place and always see someone cleaning the tables.
SO DAMN GOOOOOD. service is so fast that even if there's a long line, you'll get your food within 5 minutes. food itself is always top tier and for the price, you really are getting the best bang for your buck. i just wish i lived closer so i can come more often

Nothing is more debated than Peruvian Chicken. I was in the area and wanted to give this place a go. I've heard some state that this is the best Peruvian chicken in the area. It was good. Maybe better than good, but not the best. El Pollo Rico, Sardi's, the list goes on of other Peruvian Chicken spots that have my heart so the competition is fierce. If you're in the Tysons Corner area, Super Chicken is still a solid choice to satisfy your appetite.

This place slaps. Ordered a whole chicken combo, which came with two sides- I got the yuca fries and salad. The worker piled on the yuca fries, which was great. The restaurant is kept clean, they take an effort to upkeep the dining areas. One thing I would change, would be to decrease the amount of salt in the chicken. The skin was pretty salty, a bit too much for me. read more
Great great deal for Peruvian chicken in the area! We got the whole chicken for about $25 with two sides of plantains and yucca. They really load you up with the yucca btw. Some of the white meat was a bit dry but the dark meats were good. The spices on the chicken pack a lot of flavor but were a bit salty. Plantains were phenomenal and yucca were crispy but a little dry. All in all, it was a great meal that I really enjoyed and I'll be stopping back if I'm craving it again. Split the meal with one other person and had enough for one small lunch the next day. read more

Gratuity is automatically getting charged on takeouts, cannot understand you see one bill and get charged different amount on your Credit Card, I know 18% is small amount no one will see, but to be dishonest and just automatically charge it to customers accounts read more

I can't believe it took me so long to eat here. My friend and I had some errands to run and decided eating first would be best. Although there a a few locations, they said this was the best one. Loved that parking is a breeze; I'm very anti-complicated parking. There were plenty of seating and the music was at the perfect volume. You can talk with people without having to shout. I ended up getting half a chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and the pasta salad. You really get a lot which I love. The price to me was perfection for the amount of food you get. And the staff were all very kind. I really loved my food, however my friend told me it's better during the day. Not that the food was bad, but they've eaten there more often so I guess they know timing. If evening quality was already a good experience for me, I can't even imagine how delicious their food is lunch time when it's super fresh. read more

Got a WHOLE chicken from Super Chicken and two sides for only $20! For sides, we got fries and plantains. Family meals are also available that include drinks or extra sides. One thing that I really liked was that they don't skimp on the sides! We got fries and plantains, and both containers write filled to the brim. My favorite were the plantains, which do come with an extra +1 charge. Probably enough to feed 3-4 people, since this lasted my bf and I a couple meals (especially with all the sides)! The chicken was super juicy and tender and extremely flavorful. I found that each piece was covered in delicious spices!! However at some parts, I felt like the seasoning was a little too strong and salty, and I basically just removed the skin to resolve this. This was mainly the underside m. Overall pretty affordable and curbed my Peruvian chicken cravings. Also, really enjoyed the sauces sauces (especially the green one)! read more
Great no frills Peruvian chicken option. Lines go by quick and the chicken is cut to order. We ordered a whole chicken with yuca and regular french fries, salad and fried rice. The chicken was flavorful and the dipping sauces were perfect. Fries were fresh and soft. There was some seating available inside, and the prices were decent. Overall a great option for your chicken. My main complaint: not a huge fan of the fried rice - felt there was too much pepper and needed more seasoning. Also, we ordered a whole chicken and only recieved enough sauces for 2 servings. When we asked for more, there was a charge. I think the amount of sauces you get should be a accurate ratio of the chicken you buy. Otherwise, great option! read more

Another great Super Chicken spot in the DMV! The half chicken I had today was smaller than the one I had previously at a different location, but I still ended up stuffed on it, plantains, coleslaw, and yucca from my wife's plate. Everything tasted great and service was very friendly. I am very much onboard the Super Chicken train, and I suggest you be as well. read more

Super chicken is one of my fav Peruvian chicken spots in the area. I typically order the same meal. 1/4 chicken with yuca and fried plantain with an extra side of onion salad and a large cup of passion fruit. Chicken is always moist, well seasoned and tender. Yuca is a bit dry and plantains are plantains... can never go wrong frying em, the greasier the better. I love the onion salad, it's nothing but thinly sliced raw onions with diced tomatoes, herbs and a lemon dressing. But surprisingly very tasty and the freshness adds balance to the rest of the meal. Although I left with an appetite extremely sated, my pocket was complaining. Close to 20 for lunch was a bit much for my daily budget so I try not to make a pit stop often. read more
Excellent food! Don't let the location in the strip mall dissuade you. Succulent Peruvian chicken roasted over hot coals. I had the skirt steak with black beans and fried plantains. They gave me enough for two meals but I couldn't push away from the table. My wife and daughter had the chicken which was also excellent. read more

I'd say that every 4 out of the 5 times I go to this restaurant, the food is good and consistent. 1 out of the 5 times I might get some bad undercooked, bloody chicken or overcooked dry. read more
I am absolutely OBSESSED with Peruvian chicken and Super Chicken makes it even harder to break that addiction. Their chicken is so moist and soft and full of flavor the skin is perfectly crispy. I love plantains and theirs were delectable and the fried rice?? Whewww I ate so much I was breathing hard as hell trying to catch my breath. They even gave me extra sauce!! I usually have to beg and grovel at other restaurants for extra sauce but they just gave it to me. I'll be seeing y'all again soon! read more

We order half white meat chicken. They gave you hefty amount of food. Good. But felt like chicken lacks flavor. Will still come back try other items on menu. Their green sauce is supper spicy. Not water out like other places. read more

Delicious fall off the bone chicken. I loved every part of it. I got the dark special which consist of 1/2 chicken (dark meat), with two sides. It only costed 12 dollars which is absurdly cheap for what you're getting. They are generous with the fried rice so I recommend getting that as a source of carbs. The service was also very quick, and I left with my food in under 3 minutes. Highly recommend visiting this place for takeout. read more
oMG!!! The charcoal flavor of the chicken with the spices? Why is Boston Market/Chicken still in business. Once you go Peruvian, other Rotisserie chicken places might as well fold. You can get a great family meal for around $6 or $7 per person which includes rotisserie chicken, sides and a drink. The sides are very good too as I love the Red Onion Tomato salad with lemon juice. Order extra green hot sauce as it really adds to the flavor profile of an already succulent juicy chicken with that charcoal grilled flavor! MMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! Located in a shopping area, Super Chicken wasn't my kryptonite. The food was tasty but it didn't knock me off my feet. You're probably thinking that if you've had one Peruvian style rotisserie chicken then you've had them all. Tasty in its own way the portion was smaller than some other establishments. Good variety of sides and I really like the coleslaw. I'm selective and when you have the side items on display they should look fresh, tended to and not the last of the last with some cantankerous employee refusing to replenish it until you get the last of the dried out portion. Simple drink menu, spacious dining area w/booths and traditional table seating. Limited bathrooms (1 for him and 1 for her). Parking is what it is for a shopping area parking lot. Decent experience but nothing compels me to go out of the way to dine here. read more

Super Chicken = Super Clean. No longer your average Peruvian Chicken establishment, hole-in-the-wall, tasty-yet-not-so-clean-looking place; no no, here you will find a pretty aesthetically pleasing wall that says "Super Chicken" on it, overlayed on some rustic looking laminate-flooring panels (extra HGTV). Tables have a nice wooden-tan feel that occasionally get dirty, but they seem to come around every once in a while to clean them and wipe them down. Now to the import, the chicken, the sauces, the yucca. Chicken: Girl (or boy), you know they've done something right when that chicken breast is moist and succulent, just how God intended. Well seasoned like a Peruvian chicken should, and a nice hint of smokiness that appeals directly to that lumber-sexual man in me, hiding, somewhere. Wait, what?? Sauces: Your standard affair, well done. The green sauce could be a little more spicy, but the consistency was good. I hate, absolutely loathe, when that green sauce is drippy like that leaky faucet that you just want to shut up. The yellow sauce was on the thicker side, but taste still on point. Yucca: When it's fresh out-a-duh-fryer, it's like all the stars in universe aligned and yuccas are exploding in your brain. It's just that good. That said, I don't think I got freshly fried yuccas, as they were just sitting there in their pan, but definitely still passed the bar for me. Nice crisp texture on the outside, maybe a subtle buttery taste, and then just that *give* as you bite down. Some of the larger pieces were a bit more dry. All that said, price-wise it is a little on the higher end, maybe a dollar or so. It's hard to complain though, as you're getting top notch. TL;DR: Probably the best Peruvian Chicken in the area. If you're within 5 miles of this place, go nowhere else. read more
I only wish I had gone here sooner! The food was pretty amazing. I had the Lomo Saltado, which consisted of beef, onions, peppers served on fries and rice. When ordering anything made to order, they will give you a plastic table number, which you then pay at the register and put the table number on wherever you are sitting. The guys working were nice and polite. The restaurant itself was pretty clean. There were some tears on the seating but it didn't bother me any. They had real poinsettias around decorated for the holiday season. Good food, and decent priced too. read more
So I've never had Peruvian chicken before. *cowers from Yelpers throwing rotten fruit* I'm sorry! I don't know, once I get comfortable with my chicken places, I don't venture much outside of my comfort zone. It's really a miracle that I'm on Yelp as much as I am with that mentality, right? Anyway, I came here with my boyfriend, whose coworker apparently RAVES about Super Chicken all the time. Just constant praise. Always talking about Super Chicken. We were in the area and in the mood for chicken so away we went! First of all, I like that you get to see what's going down with your food. It's right there in front of you. Think....... Boston Market. But it's Peruvian chicken. (They do have a rotisserie in the back, too!) (Actually, if they want to franchise, they should just buy out failing Boston Market stores.) Lots of sides. SO many sides, it was hard to choose. ALSO, they had a lovely-looking ceviche that I turned down for chicken but okay let's talk about chicken. The chicken was SO well seasoned and really just... ugh, it was so tasty. I opened the sauces preemptively because I'm just so used to dipping my chicken in sauce. (I get a lot of joy from dipping food in sauce, okay? Is that SO strange?) It was EXTREMELY well seasoned. Maybe even slightly over seasoned, but I really wasn't complaining. So full of flavor just bursting forth and it was so juicy oh man. Plus, a whole chicken with 2 sides at $17.50 is a good price. (Compare that to Nando's, where it's almost $27 for a chicken and 2 sides, and $19 for just a chicken alone.) (I still love Nando's but dude.) We also got the chicken soup, because my boyfriend just saw it and wanted it. It was a weird choice but it tasted really good. If you ever want chicken soup, you can definitely come here for it, it's good. We also wanted fried plantains and were just in time to see the sad little bucket of fried plantains get refilled with FRESH AWESOME ONES. Man, I should really eat plantains more often, they are goooood. For Super Chicken n00bs like me, do not mistake the green sauce for guacamole. It may smell of avocado but it is, indeed, a spicy sauce. Nothing too painful but I was just a bit taken off-guard. I do like that yellow sauce, though. It's kind of like a lighter take on honey mustard? Not as mustard-y as honey mustard but kind of that taste, a little sweeter and milder. It was good dipping sauce, lemme tell you. All in all, it's a great spot to get some chicken. You can get your water (and you will need water), sit yourself down, and have a delightful meal. These peruvian chicken places are super popular and it's easy to see why. I usually get a quarter chicken with spinach and yucca. It comes with the yellow mustardy mayo and the green spicy jalepeno dipping sauces. They both go well with chicken, yucca and fries. Today I ordered the lomo saltado... well actually my latino coworker ordered it for me in spanish. The beef was tender and well flavored, this dish was awesome. I'm going to have to come back and see if it's just as good when I order in english. read more
My wife and I came here for an early lunch and we were surprised about how busy they were at this hour. I had actually been here one time before and I enjoyed it then. After spending a moment checking out their menu board. I had decided to get the carne asada which is basically grilled steak that is seasoned with their Peruvian spices. It also included a side order of fries and a small salad. She went for the polo saltado that is a chicken stir fry that has a bunch of vegetables like onions, tomatoes and cilantro. For drinks. I got a bottled water, and she ordered the horchata. I love horchatas and zi was envious of her. There were about four employees who were working behind the counter and in the kitchen, so our orders were prepared fast. The interior of the restaurant is nice and we found a nice spot next to the window. My carne asada was super delicious and my wife also gave high marks for the chicken stir fry meal. Fast lunch spot for comfort Peruvian chicken and sides. Get the yucca and rice/beans or any veggies, you can't go wrong! The portions are huge and I got the 1/4 chicken and took over half my box home. Not a fancy spot but a popular stop for working professionals in the area. read more
