This place has okay food...it is hit and miss. Their salsas are watered-down and flavorless, food is either bland or too salty. However, something that IS consistent is their terrible customer service and constant ability to mess up your order. The food here IMO is ok, but it's not the food that is the issue here rather the management, the consistency of being able to open on time or close on time or charge the same price every time it is the issue here. They have also taken the pandemic and played it to their favor by increasing the price of any beef item which at one very short point in time, was more than normal about 6 months ago but since has dropped back to pre-pandemic cost however they did not? They also post signs when it works for them to stay home and they will be closed on a day they normally are not, but be open the very next day? Once again I went there at 6pm on a Saturday night and there where cars in the drive through and all lights are off. People drive 15 miles into town such as me to find out once again they decided to not service the customer. Fresh Mexican food at a reasonable price! Super Burrito has been the one place I have been going to for 'fast food' lately. It is easy to stop in when I am coming through Minden (usually no line or one person) and order a Super Burrito to go (I haven't tried anything else since I am always happy with this). Stopped in here on our way out of town for a quick bite before hitting the road. I was very disappointed to not even get mediocre burrito. I really don't know how you mess that up, but the ingredients we not fresh and completely flavorless. My husband had the same reaction to his meal as well. Got the super nachos. Meat is only seasoned with SALT. They are served cold. Unmelted cheese and fake cheese sauce that made the chips wet. Yuck! read more

The place is clean. But the burrito I had was bland and boring. I work nearby and had to buy lunch today. But anyone who's thinks this place is authentic is fooling themselves. If I had more time I would gone down the road to JJ's Mexican Food. They are closer to a real taqueria than this place ever hopes to be. I've only ever been to one other super burrito and it was a Reno location and I enjoyed it. But I came here and ordered a bean and cheese burrito. Not at all tasty, very very bland. And halfway through the cheese was no longer melted. I couldn't get through the the cold center. read more

My family has been going to Super Burrito for years. It is a cross between a fast food place and a sit down restaurant. If you are looking for ambiance, this probably isn't the place for you. Just went to the drive up, in a hurry. The smell of grease will probably linger in my car for days. The taco meat must have been boiled, dry, tasteless. The nachos had a lot of cheese, all cold. I have been going there for over a year, now I will never eat there again i asked for no cheese and no sour cream on my taco drove back to work about 9 miles away when i got back what do you know loaded with cheese and sour cream i drove back and asked to speak to a manager they really need to have people that spoke english they refused to fix the problem worst place i have ever dealt with i have also heard of lots of people getting food poising from there its a wonder i went there in the first place. horrible worst place to eat at DONT EAT THERE!!!! read more

So, I come here a lot. I always order the super burrito with carne asada. Love it! Occasionally I order the plain nachos with the cheese on the side. The cheese poured on the chips makes them way too soggy. Today, for the first time ever, I was told that it would cost me $1.50 to have the cheese put in a separate container. What?! I was shocked! I would have paid a quarter extra, but not $1.50. Very disappointed! I still ordered my super burrito, but not the nachos. :( read more

This place is better than Taco Bell which is a good thing if you are looking for some Mexican fast food. I usually get the super burrito. Don't make the mistake of ordering the super burrito meal that comes with rice and beans because the burrito itself is probably about eighty percent rice and beans plus whatever meat you selected. But I like their burritos. They are big, tasty and a great meal for the cost. I only give it three stars because it is fast food but I think it is the best Mexican fast food place for the money. read more

If you are looking for a good burrito place, like Chipotle, then drive right by this place. The food is mediocre at best, honestly I would rather eat food from Taco Bell, and I cant remember the last time I ate at Taco Bell. I went in and ordered two burritos and regular super burrito with chicken and a vegetarian super burrito. The lady that took the order almost walked away without letting my husband even order, she didnt even seem to acknowledge him. The orders in front of ours came out quickly but then we had to wait for several minutes. When our order did finally come out it came out at the same time as someone who ordered probably 5 minutes after us. We took our order to go and when we started eat it we found that they had mislabeled the burritos, so my husband ate half my burrito before he realized it wasnt his. We just did a switch and when he started to eat his he found that all his burrito was was a block of shredded cheese and a few pieces of lettuce, hardly any beans or guacamole and no tomatoes. luckily we were close by so we took it back to get a new one. The new one was done in literally 30 seconds so we figured that they must not of prepped enough ingredients which explains why we had to wait but not why they used a whole bunch of cheese as filler for everything else. If you are going to make someone wait at least make their food right. The burritos basically tasted like a can of refried beans with the pre-shredded bagged cheese like you get from walmart, with iceburg lettuce. There was nothing good about it, there was hardly any meat in the other burrito. We make better burritos at home. There is nothing special about this place or it's food, like others have said their food lacks in flavor. We wont be going back ever again. read more

I used to enjoy the "mexican tacos" here. That is sadly no longer true. I never ordered the carnitas because they tasted a bit like tuna, maybe it is out of a can? Also the service has gotten really bad. When they made a mistake on my order they blamed it on me, but one of the people I was with heard me order and it was their mistake. I ALWAYS ordered the same thing, because I don't care for cheese or iceberg and like onions and cilantro. They wanted to charge me to get cilantro to add to my already pretty much ruined with cheese tacos. After seeing a spider on the tray I had begun to lose my appetite and when the cashier insisted I ordered wrong and told me I would have to pay more I just didn't even want to eat the tacos they had made. I asked the manager for a refund and she said they could not give me a refund but would remake my food correctly. When I asked if there was someone I could contact I was told they will not give out the number and again was told I could not get a refund. I was shocked and asked if they noticed the spider on the tray I put on the counter and since other customers had begun to come in they gave me the refund to get me out of the way. It was surprising how bad the customer service has gotten. I feel I should have been offered to have the order corrected right away, and then I would have been more likely to eat and leave. As it is now I will never go back and was inspired to write this review to warn others! There are several other mexican restaurants in Minden that are much better, such as JJ'S Mexican Food and Francisco's Mexican. read more

Well my husband and I used to like Super Burrito, BUT today we went in and saw how the food was being handled, we won't eat there again. As I watched them prepare the previous guests food before ours, one of the older ladies in the back filled up some large containers with what I am assuming was soup, as she slopped it in there carelessly laughing and talking to her co-worker, it dripped all on the outside of the container, she swiped up the soup with her bare fingers and then scrape it back into the customers container, TWICE! Who knows where her hands were before she scooped up the poor guys food before us. Then immediately after that another young lady making food next to her sneezed THREE times and laughed, I did not see her try to even move away from the food prep area. I wanted to run out to tell the people that just left what I saw but my husband stopped me. The cashier was pleasant, and that's about all I can say about this place, other than YUCK! read more
