I really wanted to love this place. Sadly, though it wasn't good. I got a double cheeseburger combo with bacon and the burger and fries both just tasted very off. Idk what it was exactly, but it didn't have a good flavor. The lady who took the order was nice though.
So it was cheeseburger week and I thought I ate here before but apparently it was my first time. I got the combo and chose the onion rings and it was probably the best onion rings I've had in a very long time. I've been on the hunt for good tasting onion rings and I've finally found it. The burger was alright but the onion rings were really good. The fries were tasty too but the winner was the onion rings. Everyone at the bench agreed that the rings were good and should've chosen that over the fries. You can get a refill of Soda for $0.50. Parking is only street parking but it's abundant so you're good for parking spaces. Outdoor seating with a couple of round benches and two seaters to sit on. Not sure if you can call in for an order but it's fairly quick.
This is a solid, high-quality burger stop. The bun was toasted perfectly and the patty had excellent flavor, it's exactly what you're looking for if you want an elevated burger stand. I loved seeing the owners behind the counter. Great retro vibe. Highly recommended!
What We Ordered: -Cheeseburger Combo $14.45 -Pastrami Cheeseburger $14.95 -Teriyaki Chicken with Rice and Veggies $16.95 -Chili Cheese Fries (L) $15.95 One of the best burgers, I've had in a long time. The Pastrami Cheeseburger was excellent. The Pastrami was nice and tasty and of high quality. The thousand island dressing really complimented the burger quite well! The Chili Cheese Fries were kind of average. The portion size is good for the price you're paying. However, IMO the chili wasn't very good and there were beans in it. I'm not a huge fan of beans in Chili Cheese Fries. Our son ordered the Cheeseburger and he loved it! He was digging the fries as well! The wife scarfed down the Teriyaki Chicken. Her only complaint was that the chicken was on the dry side. She said the teriyaki sauce was outstanding. She asked me, if the family who ran Super burger was Asian. That's how I know she liked it! I don't recommend the Chili Cheese Fries here as the chili was nothing to write home about. I highly recommend that you order the Pastrami Cheeseburger and the Teriyaki Chicken. You won't be disappointed! I might have to try the Teriyaki Burger next time to see how they sauce pairs with a burger. The food was delicious; a return is certain.
Never in the area - came for MD appointment- drove by and place was super busy - decided to try after appointment! Vibe gives long time history- Went with DBL Bacon Cheese Burger with fries and a coke! Such an American classic! Careful, the burger was massive / juicy and so freaking good! Crinkle cut fries, my favorite!! Sadly I live about 20 miles away!
This place deserves way more than 5 stars. If you haven't been or are thinking about trying this place it's a yes yes yes. This place is awesome, i absolutely love it. Their burgers are out of this world. They are big and juicy and saucy and fattening everything you would want in a burger. Their teriyaki burger is the best thing on the menu in my opinion. If you have a large appetite then one person would be able to finish it, but it is also shareable. The onion rings are also amazing. They are the kind that the whole onion doesn't come out when you bite into it. The perfect onion ring! Their fries are very good. This place is a little pricey but well worth it. They aren't open long hours and not open on Sunday. This is a great lunch spot. It's a little place, no inside seating but there are a few tables outside. This place is best for takeout.
Super Burger is where you go when you want a big, messy, home cooked Burger, but you dont want to cook it yourself. The burgers here hit every time. They give you enough fries to feed 2 people. Just don't forget to ask for pickles on your Burger, because they dont come with them!
Some time in the 2020's smashburgers took over Los Angeles. Thank god nobody told Super Burger, where the burgers are THICC. Old school beefy burger and crinkle cut fries perfection! When you go here, there will be no parking, there will be a battalion of firefighters in front of you in line, and the burgers will take a *long* time to cook (see the thing about them being "thick"). And it will absolutely be worth it.
A nice burger spot that has large portions. The teriyaki beef burger was an interesting fusion of flavors. The crinkle cut fries could be a bit more seasoned but it came with lots of fries. You order at the counter and the food comes out fast. There is a few tables for dining in and they have a decent selection of different types of burgers. Overall chill and casual ambiance.
I enjoyed a classic American cheese burger while I watched cars drive by on this busy intersection. The small fries were enough to feed a family so I took them to go.
I discovered Super Burger many many years ago, but I seldomly come here because the burger gives me heartburn and plus they close early at 3pm. They do have one of the best burgers though. When I do come here, I always get a cheeseburger with bacon. The burger patty is really thick and I love how I can taste the bacon in every bite. The burger is really filling and it is hard to finish one. It is also oily, which is probably why it taste so good. I just don't like that it gives me a horrible feeling after eating it. Customer service is good and quick.
Had lunch here today with my business partner and crew. This place rocks it was delicious fast and fairly cheap with lots of food. It was hot out and the drinks were nice and cold there was also a breeze that was very pleasant Definitely recommend giving it a try for yourself if you're in the area Hope your experience is a good as ours was

My favorite burger place in the world. Their teriyaki burger costs about $14 dollars but boy are they worth it. They're a small family owned business but they're Better than In N Out or any other burger place I've had in In Pasadena or LA. read more

The fries were ok but the bacon cheeseburger was pretty yummy. The burgers are juicy and delicious. Chopped lettuce, tomato, 1000 island dressing and the melted cheese what made it yummy. Seems family owned with the son grilling the burgers. Tiny amount of parking and seating once it gets packed around lunchtime but they are quick. read more
Truthfully, I didn't even want a to try burger from here. I was craving a large, cheap and wholesome breakfast burrito. They stopped serving those at 11:00am.. ugh, I figured I may as well try a burger and fries since I was hangry and needed some substance. Usually, I go with a "safe" order for a first try but today, I decided to live on the wild side ordered the Pastrami Burger. The trick with the Pastrami Burger is to char the burger and the pastrami. The pastrami also has to be clean and not too chewy / stringy. + Burger: I wasn't entirely sure what to expect with that first bite.. That first bite of deliciousness gave me the WOW factor. That juicy beef (probably a high quality 70-75% lean), charred and chopped pastrami and generous helping of veggies to round out the sandwich made me weak in the knees. It was kissing that first love for the first time. One bite turned into a life changing experience, at least for me. I don't even want places like Shake Shack or In-N-Out anymore. + Fries: I ordered a small size but there were so many fries my box cracked! There's a soft spot in my heart for crinkle cut fries because they offer my ideal crunchy exterior to soft, starchy interior. Hands down, some of the best cooked fries, in general, I've had in a while. Those baby's being crinkle cut just made them sooooo much better! I usually start with eating half my fries, eating my sandwich, then eating the rest of my fries to round out the meal. The bad part is.. that burger was so damn good I didn't even want to eat anymore fries. Next time, I'm just going to order 2 burgers and scratch the fries. + Service: I love great service and I hate long lines. I dropped in during the mid-afternoon and was able to walk right up to the counter. I was greeted by a nice older Asian lady who took my order. My guess is she's one of the owners. After allowing me to finish about half of my meal, she checked in on me (since I was sitting by the window) to see how my experience was. Nothing less than phenomenal. + Location: Conveniently right off of the 210 on the East side of Attadena. There isn't much lot parking but I had no issues parking on the street. Overall experience: No line + great service + amazing food + decent location with easy parking = one of the best dining experiences of my life (IMO, of course). At first, I wished they had beer. After actually having the meal, I'm glad I didn't waste time with any brews. If that Asian lady had a daughter, I'd put a ring on it.. an onion ring on it. Super Burger is too freakin' good! read more
This place has thee best burgers. Well that's my opinion. It even bets out all those fancy burger joints. The burgers are reasonable price. Burgers are huge and juice. This time around the owner (male) cooked my burger. He did a great job. But I do love how the son cooks his burgers. Don't get me wrong the burgers are still amazing!! This time around my fries were just a little over done. Orange bang on point. Burger definitely on point. They make the burgers the way you like it. If your ever around you have to try it out. I've made a few friends of mine try it out and they loved it. read more
Came here after hiking Eaton Canyon. We were starving and this place was on the way back home so we stopped by. This hamburger joint has probably been here forever - the establishment looks like it has been (not in any negative way). It looks like a family run restaurant which is always a plus. Only outside seating available. After reading some reviews regarding the huge portion, my GF and I decided to share a combo instead of getting one each. Double Cheeseburger Combo with Fries and a Drink (around $9.50). The Cheeseburger was huge! Each patty was probably twice or even three times as big as a In-N-Out patty. The patties were juicy and flavorful and had a nice crust/sear on them. The veggies were fresh and crisp and the cheese was perfectly melted. The fries were great - very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just how I like them. Depending on the size of your drink - refilling will cost you between $0.25-$0.75 or something around that. read more

This spot has the best burger that I have eaten in a while. This corner restaurant has a small parking lot, but there is also street parking available. I order the cheeseburger combo and my god the beef patty was cooked perfectly and was thick and juicy. Also this place has my favorite crinkle cut fries which was great for me. My finance order the cheeseburger combo as well but with onion rings. For these onions ring it was not bad, but to me they were a bit smaller than I expected in terms of size but they were still tasty. The burger was a good size and can really put you into a food coma. This place has outdoor seating and the food comes out very quickly. So next time you are looking for a burger joint to eat at and In n Out is packed I would suggest coming here. read more

Home is just up the street, my roomie said this spot was surprisingly good, it's affordable, and one of my favorite things in the world is a good burger and fries. So I think the reason it took me so long to try this place, is because I judged a book by its cover. My bad, I now regret taking so long to try what was a really good cheeseburger. I ordered the basic cheeseburger and fries, thought I'd play it safe on my first visit and was really impressed. The ingredients were very fresh tasting but what really impressed me was that it was perfectly cooked and the quality of meat was top tier. On my next visit, I'm going to really cheat and order a pastrami! My only complaint is, that as someone who doesn't eat ketchup, I like blue cheese or ranch with my fries. I saw a sign that said ranch was $0.50 so I went to my car to get some change but when I gave it some more thought, I decided not to get it. I hate being nickeled and dimed. read more

My husband and I stopped there randomly for lunch while traveling through Pasadena. It was a little corner place, but what a nice service! The lady was very kind, polite and pleasant. We got cheeseburger combo and hamburger. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Fries were golden and crispy. Very generous amount of food for a good price. Overall experience was great, we will surely come back when we have a chance. Other people dining with us were also having a great experience as everyone was leaving thanking the team making the food. read more

I really wanted to love this place like many of the reviewers, but my meal wouldn't let me. Pros: 1. burger is hot and juicy - it's served straight off the grill 2. big portion Cons: 1. burger patty is bland - bites without any toppings were tasteless 2. fries - half of mine were over cooked or burnt 3. soda - flat sugar water, no hint of the Coca-cola flavor Price of the cheeseburger combo $9.25 I'm willing to give the burger another shot, albeit loaded with toppings for flavor (bacon, avocado, etc). Until then, super burger is 2* in my book. read more

My boyfriend and I went there in our first time, I was disappointed because we ordered the double burger and the patty we ate into were not cool well. It was slightly pink. I will never come back to the place again. I prefer to eat somewhere else that cares about cooking the patty very well and not giving customers food poisoning. read more
This is probably one of the most underrated, don't judge a book by its cover places that I have ever been to in my life. When having one of your buddies meet you at this place for lunch, its all the same. When they get out of the car from the drive over, they always ask, 'its this it?' Yes, yes, this is the place. They ask that because, even though this Pasadena intersection is super clean, Super Burger looks like a relic from the 70's. Its sun bleached out door seating (which is it's only seating) looks like its seen better days........in the 80's. And forget the waiter service, there's only the "order here" and "pick up here" window. With that being said, this is one of my favorite places to eat a burger. Even their teriyaki (I had the teriyaki burger) is amazing. Their patties and melty cheese are thick and veggies are super fresh. I could eat here everyday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecc0nbg9m-8 read more

Super burger has some super thick patties!! Yummy!! Great taste, crispy crinkle cut fries, and everything given with a generous amount. My wife and I really enjoyed the meal and love the quality of food. It's a good sign when you start seeing a lot of people come and order on a Thursday afternoon...yeah I know it would be lunch time but still a good sign. I recommend if you want a good ol' local burger come to super burger. read more

Love their Teriyaki burger and steak fries! Been coming here since my college days in the early 90's... They were Korean owners back then too, not sure if they are related. read more
I can't believe we lived in Pasadena for a year and half and never came here. I guess if we had know about it, we would've been here too much. I'm so glad a friend brought us here. The burgers were fantastic - add avocados for sure! Don't ask me why I got tacos at a place called Super Burger, but I had to try it. I would recommend the fish and maybe the carne asada. The chicken was super dry. (My friend said the fish sandwich is also good and I can see why.) Don't pass up your chance to come here! It's worth the parallel parking, haha. read more

I came her when they only had 30 reviews and they really have blew up. The menu has changed some I like the Teri burger. It has gotten smaller as far as less Teri meat. I was a little disappointed when I asked if they could make a Teri beef burrito they said no. They have burritos and they could just make it with the different meat charge me more or whatever but instead I got the no. The burger was good but the plate is just rice meat and veggies. Not going to get that again. Burgers is what they are known for so I will stick with that. read more

I found out about this place from an email list I receive that listed the top 14 hamburgers in Los Angeles County. This little hole-in-the-wall deserves a place of honor on the list! I had no idea it was there and regret the years I didn't eat there. My adult son and I ordered a bacon, avocado, cheeseburger and my DIL went for the double version of the same thing as a combo (fries and drink included). My son ate all his burger, but I managed only 3/4 of it. DIL made it through less than half. The patties are thick and juicy and it was LOADED with avocado and great tasting bacon. The fries (DIL shared) were good, but nothing spectacular. It isn't listed on the menu, but we ordered a veggie patty burger with cheese and avocado for my vegetarian son at home. He RAVED over it. This is DEFINITELY a place to aim for. You WILL enjoy this place. I rarely give 5 stars in my reviews but this place earned them! read more

Delicious burger with grilled onions on the griddle! We drove several miles for this burger not knowing that they had changed their hours for Covid. They were so nice and made us our burgers anyway. They close at 6:30 right now!! Many sites say 730 so be aware. YUM YUM! read more

A hidden gem in Altadena. I drove all the way from LA with a recommendation from Yelper GOLDLINELA to check this place out. Man was he right. I am very picky when it comes to burgers because a hamburger isn't a thin frozen piece of ground beef tossed on a bun with condiments. SUPER BURGER is a great name for this restaurant because what I ate was a SUPER BURGER. I got the cheeseburger combo and couldn't believe the price was amazing for all the food you get along with a large drink. I don't like lettuce on my burger so I got the grilled onions instead. NO KETCHUP! None needed because this burger is meaty and TONS of flavor and cooked to a perfect medium well burger. Don't take it out of the wrapping they put it in because it's that JUICY. OK I get the hype. The avocado cheeseburger might be one of the best burgers I've ever had!! They don't make them well-done like cardboard, there's a bit of pink which is exactly how I like my patties. Fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned and the ranch ($0.50 charge) is thick and not watery. Limited seating since it's a stand, but that's expected. Minus one star why? The mama who sends out the food isn't exactly the nicest person. She called my number and when I went to go get my food, I asked if she could cut the burger in half for me. She tells me "NO YOU DIDN'T ORDER IT LIKE THAT SO I CANNOT. DO IT YOURSELF" and hands me a plastic knife LOL. Not the biggest deal and pretty comical but for the amount I paid for this damn burger... Either way I'll definitely be back and will remember to make sure to ORDER my burger halved next time. read more
