Does not allow service dogs even though it is illegal. Makes people with disabilities feel like less of a person. Even after showing proof that business are required to allow service dogs, they said customers complain too much and they sent a mother and her young child away who has been very excited to eat there. read more

The buffet restaurant isn't for everyone I guess. For my friend and I, it's a good place for all you can eat. Service is bare minimal due to one younger female worker gave me a face and asked for ID when I used debit but gave her cash instead because of her discontented face or perhaps disgruntled. For $15.95 plus tax, charged around $35.50 for 2. I don't think this place is worth the customer service but go ahead and give it a try. It's an all you can eat buffet anyway. read more

This isn't the best buffet but it isn't totally horrible either. It's a buffet...so yes, food will be a hit or miss. You should expect that from a buffet. I tend to always get the same dishes, but sometimes I try stuff I don't like. In fact, every time I go there, I leave at least 1.5 plates worth of food behind because I tried something new that I didn't like, there was some inconsistency in what I normally eat, or I overestimated how much I would eat. I've never been hit with a $5.00 per plate charge & I've never been charged for refills, though they are indeed horrible at giving you a refill. To my knowledge, refills are only offered on fountain drinks (soda + whatever lemonade or type of juice they have from the fountain). If you're not drinking fountain drinks, then yes, you should expect to be charged per refill like you would anywhere else. If you're being charged $5.00 for a full plate, my guess is that you're leaving a massive amount of food behind. (If you don't know if you like it, take a smaller amount!) As for asking to see ID to charge a credit card, you should be appreciative. It's to make sure someone hasn't stolen your card & is using it, & so many merchants won't check. If they checked more often, it'd be more difficult to use someone's card without their consent. Food-wise, I'd say they have the best egg rolls in town. I wish they served frog legs more often, though. Wonton soup & duck is yummy & so is the orange chicken. I don't recommend coconut shrimp, pizza, or hot & sour soup though--these are the hit-or-miss stuff I usually avoid. read more

We went there last night. Food was ok. Shrimp were definitely not cleaned! Went back for seconds and most of the buffet dishes were empty or grossly to the bottom. Quality was surprisingly lacking this time. So we are sitting there eating and my fiancé wanted another soda. We had a hard time getting the servers attention. Finally, he takes a break from texting and brings the soda. While we are eating across from us three waiters were texting their lives away. I asked the Front Desk Manager if they could stop the texting as it was distracting and rude. They stopped for three minutes and went right back at it. One of the servers actually went by the table and as an act of aggression showed me he was texting and laughed. I went back to the manager and he stated there was nothing he could do about it and it was too bad. Well, tempers started flaring and they actualy kicked us out of the restaurant and we were told never to come back. A lady from the restaurant came out and apologized and said he was wrong. I think the servers might be relatives that are not appreciative of the jobs that they hold. We have been there many times and have never experienced that behavior. I couldn't understand a word the lady said on the phone when I ordered the delivery. About an hour and 20 minutes later they show up, with the tasteless wonton soup's lid broken open and leaked all over the bag. For some reason, there were two people delivering the food. The guy told me the total (Somewhere around $32 I think), I handed him $40 and asked for change. With a puzzled look, he mumbled something incoherently so I assumed he needed exact change. The food tasted like 3 day old garbage that was in the sun the whole time. Flavorless broth and odd textured won tons. The General's chicken was chewy, and didn't taste very good. The pot stickers were slimey and cold. The combination chow mein was the worst of all, I would have rather have gone to Panda Express. I would not recommend this place, choose another. read more

Went there last night for dinner with my son...OMG...this place has really went downhill..I realize that a buffet is not the best place for good food...but still Half the trays ion the buffet area were empty....took forever to refill...sushi smelled like vinegar, which means it's spoiled...rice was lukewarm at best...everything was just crap...dog food would have been better...and when a teenager complains, you know it's bad...the only thing edible was the watermelon...not good... I want to add a few other observations about this place, in addition to what other people here already wrote. This place charges people for wasting their leftovers. When I asked one of the workers for a small empty dipping cup for dipping my sushi in soy sauce, it seemed as if the worker I asked didn't know what I was talking about. The language barrier aside, it's common sense to have small dipping cups available for the sushi. Instead, I used an empty BOWL to fill 1/2 inch with soy sauce & wasabi. Here's the bit. I went here because my father-in-law wanted to have a vast quantity of food. He doesn't ask for much and doesn't hate me yet so if he says he wants buffet and wants to go here and he's picking up the tab no argument, I am happy to oblige. I went Sunday at lunch. It was crowded but we were seated quickly. The food is general Asian buffet quality. The dim sum was lacking flavor or taste. It was pasty at best. The other food stuff were of panda express quality. They have the required soft serve ice cream machine too that was a bit icy but not too bad. Again buffet quality, but not bad for the quality. They serve sushi too, but no one was grabbing it so I passed on the sushi. So if everything met my expectation for an average Chinese buffet why that low star review? The place is just plain filthy. I wish I saw this when I started but of course I only saw this on my way out and this really made me sick. What I saw was one of the kitchen staff refreshing food on the hot table. They spilled it on the counter and just used the spoons to flick it back into the new serving trays. Are you really that cheap? Isn't their some kind of health issues for doing that? Plus he was going back to the kitchen with a serving tray in hand. So I though it was isolated incident and I saw another kitchen staff do that again but while wiping the buffet line using the serving spoon on the counter to put it back. GROSS! This food is THE BOMB. Not too pricy, and a great selection of Chinese food favorites. The chicken on a skewer is fantastic, but brush off the MSG (it looks like salt) so you can appreciate it more. The potstickers will EXPLODE if you bite into them so be careful, they are still delicious though. Finally, if you want to try something different, I reconmend their pineapple cake (its where most of the dinner foods are) and is like a sweet egg souffl', they are yellowish brown and look like flowers. It had been a few years since I had gone to this kind of Chinese all-you-can-eat buffet. As I struggled to finish my first plate, I remembered why. When I was a younger man, I loved this kind of food - staggeringly sugary, salty, fatty, etc. - but these days, it's hard to bring myself to consume it. I was with a group of about eight guys and there was a quorum to come to Fu Zhou, which is how I ended up here. I almost finished a plate of various meets and veggies soaked, fried and/or coated in various syrups and radioactively colored sauces. In an effort to come close to getting my money's worth, I opted for a second round and, for plate #2, I went to the dessert section, where they had a decent selection of unblemished fruits - cantaloupe, grapes, melon. I also had some soft serve ice cream and hated myself for it. Here you will find a huge selection of dishes, hot and fresh, all at least good quality, some excellent, and now and then a near gourmet item. Traditional foods seldom seen outside Chinatown like baos(spell/) are to be had, along with soups, a ton of desserts,fruits, even sushi (only fair but safe) and a giant roast beef. I've gone back regularly for 20 + years..it will take several visits to sample everything..and then they surprise you ! Dinner is more..check the time it starts. Real people eat here. To be honest we got there about a half hour before they close to change over to dinner so the selections were minimal and on the cold side. Personally, I rather like this place. For me, it has a convenient location downtown and it's a great place to go to get lots of decent food in a range of types very quickly. Obviously, this is not high-quality Chinese food and most of the stuff I absolutely avoid. However, some things are very reliable and quite good. They are often quite busy and thus usually have a pretty high turnover of certain dishes, so that one can normally find a pretty fresh try of these. There's some interesting stuff you don't usually see at Chinese take-out: little fried octopus tentacles, Frog Legs Fricasse, some kind of thing involving snails. Veggies and fish are kind of thrown in as an afterthought but there's enough that you can cobble together a filling plate that doesn't undo two weeks worth of exercise. I have to say this isn't the best buffet I've had, however it's pretty much the only one we have in the area now. But the prices are pretty good and they have lots to choose from. #1 Not worth the $$$ - The Buffet is ALWAYS the same stuff, {I know where each item is & whats gonna be in the steam tables before i go in} so why did the price go up ? The employees are not the most pleasant people "Never Smile". They ask what you want to drink and you hardly see them again, i had to get up to find a waiter/waitress for a refill ? And if it's a Buffet WHY DO WE PAY FOR EACH DRINK ? I can see maybe pay for the 1st one but the refills too, ive never heard of that ? I didn't like this place at all! We found an ant in our food, and I regretted even coming there afterwards. The place was dirty and stuffy! The smell of food stayed on your clothes. The bathroom was gross and the doors to the kitchen was so dirty. If the walls are dirty, imagine the kitchen! Not good! I'm surprised the food inspector hasn't shut them down. Surely in Colma, Daly City or even Sacramento area you'd find much better choice, but we are talking about Santa Rosa! Cleanliness of this place needs improvement but it is not 'bad'. I would totally stay away from a few items on the steam table, but, for me at least, the rest of the food they serve are pretty good; for the price you are paying that is. For lunch buffet, they have crabs, shrimps, salmon and many other items that you'll never see in a buffet restaurant nestling in a small town like Santa Rosa.
