Please note that my review comes from the perspective of someone that's tried it all. I've had Chubby Cattle BBQ, Bacchanal buffet in Las Vegas, Lone Tree buffet in Brentwood, China Wall Buffet in Concord, Tomi Susbi and Seafood in San Jose (Concord in the past), Hibachi Grill in Fairfield, Fuji's in Fairfield and Vacaville, Empire Buffet in San Pablo, you get the point. We eat at a lot of buffets. This buffet in comparison to the ones similar to it above (China Wall, Hibachi Grill, Empire Buffet), and this is a solid 3.7/5 to be nice about it. This is rating it considering its location, availability of buffets like this in the area, variety of the food, quality of the food, and service. Let's rule out a few numbers. It's for sure not a 5 stars buffet. But is it 1 or 2 stars? Heck no. 3 stars? Slightly better yes. 4? Not quite. 3.5-3.8 stars is where it truly fits. $21.99 for dinner and all day weekend pricing. $2.75 per drink. Not a bad deal, for the area. Lone Tree Buffet is a 4.7/5 in comparison and is the same price. The quality of the food was good overall. But a bit salty. And a lot of fried food options. The string beans were cold. Most items were hot. High ceiling inside, the staff seems really nice and welcoming. For drink refills, I had to get the attention of the single 1 waiter there each time. Unfortunately while eating, all I could think about was the appreciation I had of the other buffets and how better they are. But for the area, this is truly not bad. Just not great. Normally I try to eat my money's worth at a buffet, but here I didn't feel like I wanted to. There was nothing special, no stand out item there that I wanted to go back and forth for. I gave this a 5 stars on Yelp to increase the average rating, to bring it closer to what I feel is its true rating of 3.7/5.

08.15.2025 $21.99 for dinner. Good for quick Chinese lunch or dinner.

Unfortunately the last time we visited, the food quality went down in regards to the crawfish/crabs. Chowmien and fried rice are still a hit.

Reallyyyyy good. The sweet lemon/ honey shrimp was the best I've had. Don't understand the negative reviews

My boyfriend and I went in on Friday night around 7:30pm! Our experience was great! We paid $18.99 per person and about $2.50 for each drink with free refills. They have a great variety of food, everything I tried was delicious. My favorite was the chow mein and honey walnut shrimp. We didn't realize they closed at 8pm. I noticed they started to clean up the near sections, yet we didn't feel rushed, they left all the food out, so that was nice. Nobody wants to feel rushed. The business owner came by and asked us how everything was, he even told us to take our time. Really we were damn near full and ready to go, then Right before we were done, The business owner came over to us again and asked us if we would like to take any food home, he brought us over a to go container and insisted we take food home, then he said take more, and gave us another container! I thought wow how nice and generous he was. What a great experience!

All this food was cold, like, scary food poisoning cold.

Went in and felt a little sketch. Tons of seafood, all with nothing covering, labeled and it was all cold, dead and dry. Hopefully I'll let everybody know if I get sick. i will be calling the health inspector on Monday. This place should not be an operations under any circumstances and all whatsoever. Only 3 min in and I went to tell the manager that things were cold, and he looked at me with a blank stare. I went to the front and asked if I can get a pass for another time and they said absolutely not. I truly believe that this establishment had no right to be in business and 100% is liable for all food born pathogens. If the health department has any amnesty, they will shut it down ASAP. If you've ever gotten sick or seen how they hazardously serve the food in a contaminated manner, please email the city: safe707@sonoma-county.org

Royal China is my go-to Chinese spot…read more It's really close to my house, which is a huge bonus, but honestly I'd still go here even if it wasn't. The food quality is great every single time. We've ordered a lot from here, and I can't think of anything we didn't like. If I had to pick a favorite, it's probably the hot and sour soup. It's a perfect combination of hot to sour ratio. I've had it in a lot of places, and they just get it right every time. The string bean chicken is also one of my favorites. It's very flavorful, and the green beans are very fresh and cooked perfectly. We also really like the asparagus chicken, Mongolian chicken, walnut prawns, moo shu chicken, and the potstickers. My wife loves the sweet and sour chicken, and my daughter is all about the wonton soup. What's funny is we've never actually sat down and eaten there. I always say we're going to, but usually when we're in the mood for Chinese food, we just want to take it home. Every time I go in though, the place looks really nice and has a great vibe. We've just gotten into the habit of doing pickup. At this point it's just kind of our default. When we're in the mood for Chinese food, this is where we end up.

Their chicken chow mien and chicken fried rice is to die for! They have a very large menu with a ton of different options, and seating options ranging from small tables, booths, large tables, and you can also sit at the bar. The hostesses at the front are always welcoming and polite, and the servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Honestly, I struggle not to eat here more than I should because the food is so delicious! I will mention, especially on holidays, they are absolutely swamped. They have a huge following from the locals who know how good the food is, and they're definitely a favorite for people to order out from on holidays. Sometimes they do have trouble keeping up with the sheer number of orders they seem to receive. All in all, if you're going in the evening, I highly recommend reservations, and if you're ordering online on a holiday, order early so you don't miss out or have to wait too long!

Hang Ah Dim Sum - 202. Baked BBQ Bun

It bothers me that I like this place so much…read more Mainly because the cost of dim sum at some restaurants is ridiculous. The fact that Hang Ah charges $8.45 for an order of har gaw or shu mai today when just a few years ago this dish was half the price at most dim sum spots puts a money chill in my very bones. But the fact is that their flavors are on point brings me back in the future. I had one of the best turnip cake dim sum I have ever tasted. Crispy fried with some great flavor through and through. I would order this dish every time I visit in the future. But I would also request that they sear it on both sides for optimum tastiness. The har gaw and fried squid were also full of flavor. I do think that in the future I would request the squid extra crispy as it was a bit undercooked and limp when it should be crispy af. :-) The spot is typical of Chinese restaurants in terms of ambiance and service. All in line with my expectation. My only complaint is paying near $50 for 2 orders of dim sum and one entree. I hate 2026 prices.

The outside looks unassuming, but the inside is very clean and neat. Not too packed at noon on a Monday. Pros: - Favorite items: Chicken Claws, Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice, and baked bbq buns - The meat on the Chicken Claws was tender and easy to get off the bones. The claws were soaked in a sauce that was a perfect mix of sweet and savory. - Though the baked bbq buns could've used more filling, the bun itself was soft, fluffy, and warm, covered in a thin layer of sticky-sweet glaze that paired well with the sweetness of the chashu pork filling. Cons: - Shanghai Soup Dumplings are a skip. They seemed over-steamed, as the skin was sticking to the bottom of the dish and to other dumplings, causing them to rip easily and lose all their broth when you tried to pick them up. - Items like the sesame balls, the steamed egg custard buns, and the baked bbq buns could definitely use a lot more filling.

We had ordered the house special eggplant, orange chicken, and vegetable chow mein. Everything was cooked well, portion sizes were nice. The eggplant probably better on location due to the nature of it, but the flavor was good and the sauce a nice additive. It also came with hot and sour soup, and a vegetable egg roll. Yes the portions are very generously large. And, the taste is okay, but not exceptional as compared to an other highly rated restaurant I usually get food from. My biggest complaint is that the service staff is terrible. My recent purcghae was a take out order placed on the telephone. The gentleman who took my order could barely speak english and was very impatient, rushing to end the call. I order a pork mushu, eggplant with added shrimp and the house tofu. I requested that everything be mild as I have a family member that is on meds that do not allow him to eat spicy food. When I went to pick my order up the three containers were placed in a thin plastic bag. When I got home the eggplant /shrimp dish was spicy with three large hot chile peppers right on top of there food. The Mushu pork had no pancakes. When I called to tell them the same man answered the phone and his reply to me was "No Problem"! The older woman who i encountered there at the service counter does understand English but she is gruff and unfriendly. On this last occasion, Mother's Day, when I went to pick up my order there was younger woman who was very pleasant but when I ordered an extra continuer of riv=ce she just handed the hot container to me. Itvwould not fit into the bag with my original order. I asked for another neg. She then put everything into a larger bag (original bagged order as is nd separate rice and tied it). When I got home the containers leaked and it was a mess. When I arrived at the restaurant it was more than 75% empty of diners sitting at tables. No excuse for such sloppy service and attitude. Not going back there for sure.

When we walked in, there was only a table of five customers at the end of their meal because the wait staff just delivered them the bill. I asked for a high chair, and she looked at my daughter and said she's too big for that, but I immediately told her my daughter can still fit in (btw, my daughter is very skinny and young and she prefer high chair everywhere we go out to eat every week, and the last one being only 3 days ago). The waitress didn't even bother to go grab the high chair and just walked away to the counter that is located in the back toward the kitchen. With this attitude, I will give one (1) star especially when the restaurant was not even busy at the time. The high chair by the way was very sticky that leaves stickiness on your hand after touching it kind (i.e., not clean). Another observation was that the waitress was more focus on the other dine in customers who were at the end of their meal than coming to our table to start taking order or at the very lease, offer drinks - it was already passed 6:00 pm and the restaurant was still emptied, everyone was hungry so what's up with the nonchalant attitude? Our party consist of three adults and a toddler, so we decided to try out the family meal at $28 per person that comes in a fixed choice of 1 won-ton soup, broccoli beef, sweet and sour pork, and a chicken dish. We also added a side dish of veggie chow-fun (wide rice noodle), so the entire order without the drink, taxes, and tip was over $100. For the food items we ate, I can only give a 2 out of 5 star rating because they all had one thing in comment - neither taste good or bad but with expensive tags. I didn't get sick after dinner so 2 stars rating is all I can give. All I can say is the food is safe to eat but not great. Some of the positive reviews were about good customer service, but we didn't experience that last night. Some reviews indicated how delicious the food were, but I don't agree based on my dinning experience. Therefore, overall, I can't give this restaurant more than 2 stars. Side note: on the way home, I told my wife that Panda Express would have been a better choice if I knew our dinning experience outcome a head of time.
