Lunch Buffet

Great food; blew up my toilet a few hours after I had the buffet. Very worth it however.

Please note that my review comes from the perspective of someone that's tried it all. I've had Chubby Cattle BBQ, Bacchanal buffet in Las Vegas, Lone Tree buffet in Brentwood, China Wall Buffet in Concord, Tomi Susbi and Seafood in San Jose (Concord in the past), Hibachi Grill in Fairfield, Fuji's in Fairfield and Vacaville, Empire Buffet in San Pablo, you get the point. We eat at a lot of buffets. This buffet in comparison to the ones similar to it above (China Wall, Hibachi Grill, Empire Buffet), and this is a solid 3.7/5 to be nice about it. This is rating it considering its location, availability of buffets like this in the area, variety of the food, quality of the food, and service. Let's rule out a few numbers. It's for sure not a 5 stars buffet. But is it 1 or 2 stars? Heck no. 3 stars? Slightly better yes. 4? Not quite. 3.5-3.8 stars is where it truly fits. $21.99 for dinner and all day weekend pricing. $2.75 per drink. Not a bad deal, for the area. Lone Tree Buffet is a 4.7/5 in comparison and is the same price. The quality of the food was good overall. But a bit salty. And a lot of fried food options. The string beans were cold. Most items were hot. High ceiling inside, the staff seems really nice and welcoming. For drink refills, I had to get the attention of the single 1 waiter there each time. Unfortunately while eating, all I could think about was the appreciation I had of the other buffets and how better they are. But for the area, this is truly not bad. Just not great. Normally I try to eat my money's worth at a buffet, but here I didn't feel like I wanted to. There was nothing special, no stand out item there that I wanted to go back and forth for. I gave this a 5 stars on Yelp to increase the average rating, to bring it closer to what I feel is its true rating of 3.7/5.

08.15.2025 $21.99 for dinner. Good for quick Chinese lunch or dinner.

08.15.2025 $21.99 for dinner. Busy but I didn't have to wait to be seated. Good for quick dinner or lunch.

Unfortunately the last time we visited, the food quality went down in regards to the crawfish/crabs. Chowmien and fried rice are still a hit.

Buffet is crap. only chiken food is good. crab is dry up no meat at all in crabs. doesn't worth spending $20 on buffet.

Lots of food but salty. super salty that we couldn't eat and left in 30 minutes. I just don't understand why all the food was so salty.

We noticed they have a set up outdoors now. Does anyone know how they are handling the restaurant situation?

My first visit in about 6 months.. it had completely slipped my mind ( although I was informed of…read moreit) of the newest additions and adjustments. I was impressed after a quick walk thru the casino. Non smoking side is large and feels like doubles the square footage of the casino ... Poker room looks great!

Just a review of the pool (via Resortpass):…read more Positives - Graton pool is spacious abd they have a bunch of different areas to hang out both inside and out. They have some tasty snacks (guacamole and chips and Mediterranean plate were good!) and drink options. They have very clean bathrooms and a pool shower so it's easy to change before and after. Also the parking is free (aside from a tip for valet). Negatives - you have to walk by the casino so it smells like smoke. Even on a weekday they play music outside and it seems to keep getting louder as the day progresses. Kind of annoying, esp if it's not your kind of music. Drinks from the blender are super weak - I'd stick to non-blended versions. They are still doing construction next door so it's kind of unsightly. Fortunately we didn't hear any noise. Both times I've gone the service has been just ok. This second time they gave us only one of the types of sauce we asked for with the wings and then waitress asked for a cash tip which seemed a little shady. For $50-60 it seems like you should get a little more value. Maybe when they open the new pool area it will be better. (Or worse!)

First time and it won't be last. Can't even say anything negative about Starks…read more Me and the homies recently had a boys night and showed up for our 7:45 PM reservation. We arrived a little early and sat at the bar to grab drinks. The bartender was friendly with taking our orders and handing us several menus. At the time of our reservation, I walked along the corridor towards the rear and spoke with the hostess. We were seated immediately (This restaurant is larger on the inside than it appears on the outside). Our server was pleasant and informed us of the specials they had on the menu. I went with the NY Strip, goat cheese Mac n cheese (surprisingly good) and crispy fried calamari. I'm not the biggest fan of calamari, but I will admit that I'm now more willing to try it again if it's prepared how Starks prepares theirs. For the steak, sides, drinks, the total was somewhere around $150 which was to be expected. No disappoints here. I'll add this, if this is your first time going to Starks, be aware that the surrounding area has quite a bit of the unhoused community. Just FYI!

Just had our first visit and it blew us away. First of all, we went on a Monday night and the…read morereservations were fully booked, but we decided to try stopping in, which turned out to be smart, because they could seat us almost right away in the bar dining room, which was spacious and didn't feel like a bar area. They even accommodated my request not to be in sight of the TV. We were with my husband's cousin from Maui, an international traveler/diner, so he wanted to go all out, which meant we ordered the two specials - a dry aged porterhouse (T-bone) and a wagyu steak (not sure which cut), both medium rare. We got the bearnaise sauce and the green peppercorn sauce. I had one bite of each side or the t-bone, so NY and filet mignon, and two bites of the wagyu, which turned out to be my favorite. The reason I only had a those few bites of such exquisite, melt in your mouth meat was because of the irresistible courses we had leading up to it - wedge salad with tender diced bacon and pungent blue cheese dressing, potato skin fondue (like an elevated bacon nacho cheese dip), mussels in a flavorful broth that we sopped up with the addicting (on the house) bottomless basket of butter garlic parsley topped rolls (texture of Hawaiian rolls but not sweet). Then there was the scrumptious four cheese mac n cheese. I had to hold off on the giant onion rings (just ate the inside of one) to save room for the steak. We somehow also had drinks and dessert - I finished the first (which they made tart like I requested) and only tasted the last - a pineapple cheesecake, while my husband and his cousin demolished the rest along with creme brulee. Service was excellent and well timed. My husband's cousin said he hadn't expected the food to be so stellar, but that it even surpassed the swanky steakhouse we had gone to with him in SF on his last visit. We told him we weren't that surprised since we really like the other Stark restaurants we've been to, but this was the piece de la resistance. It was partly a celebration of our 25th anniversary coming up, so this feast was a blessing.
