Please note that my review comes from the perspective of someone that's tried it all. I've had Chubby Cattle BBQ, Bacchanal buffet in Las Vegas, Lone Tree buffet in Brentwood, China Wall Buffet in Concord, Tomi Susbi and Seafood in San Jose (Concord in the past), Hibachi Grill in Fairfield, Fuji's in Fairfield and Vacaville, Empire Buffet in San Pablo, you get the point. We eat at a lot of buffets. This buffet in comparison to the ones similar to it above (China Wall, Hibachi Grill, Empire Buffet), and this is a solid 3.7/5 to be nice about it. This is rating it considering its location, availability of buffets like this in the area, variety of the food, quality of the food, and service. Let's rule out a few numbers. It's for sure not a 5 stars buffet. But is it 1 or 2 stars? Heck no. 3 stars? Slightly better yes. 4? Not quite. 3.5-3.8 stars is where it truly fits. $21.99 for dinner and all day weekend pricing. $2.75 per drink. Not a bad deal, for the area. Lone Tree Buffet is a 4.7/5 in comparison and is the same price. The quality of the food was good overall. But a bit salty. And a lot of fried food options. The string beans were cold. Most items were hot. High ceiling inside, the staff seems really nice and welcoming. For drink refills, I had to get the attention of the single 1 waiter there each time. Unfortunately while eating, all I could think about was the appreciation I had of the other buffets and how better they are. But for the area, this is truly not bad. Just not great. Normally I try to eat my money's worth at a buffet, but here I didn't feel like I wanted to. There was nothing special, no stand out item there that I wanted to go back and forth for. I gave this a 5 stars on Yelp to increase the average rating, to bring it closer to what I feel is its true rating of 3.7/5.

Unfortunately the last time we visited, the food quality went down in regards to the crawfish/crabs. Chowmien and fried rice are still a hit.

Reallyyyyy good. The sweet lemon/ honey shrimp was the best I've had. Don't understand the negative reviews

My boyfriend and I went in on Friday night around 7:30pm! Our experience was great! We paid $18.99 per person and about $2.50 for each drink with free refills. They have a great variety of food, everything I tried was delicious. My favorite was the chow mein and honey walnut shrimp. We didn't realize they closed at 8pm. I noticed they started to clean up the near sections, yet we didn't feel rushed, they left all the food out, so that was nice. Nobody wants to feel rushed. The business owner came by and asked us how everything was, he even told us to take our time. Really we were damn near full and ready to go, then Right before we were done, The business owner came over to us again and asked us if we would like to take any food home, he brought us over a to go container and insisted we take food home, then he said take more, and gave us another container! I thought wow how nice and generous he was. What a great experience!

All this food was cold, like, scary food poisoning cold.

Went in and felt a little sketch. Tons of seafood, all with nothing covering, labeled and it was all cold, dead and dry. Hopefully I'll let everybody know if I get sick. i will be calling the health inspector on Monday. This place should not be an operations under any circumstances and all whatsoever. Only 3 min in and I went to tell the manager that things were cold, and he looked at me with a blank stare. I went to the front and asked if I can get a pass for another time and they said absolutely not. I truly believe that this establishment had no right to be in business and 100% is liable for all food born pathogens. If the health department has any amnesty, they will shut it down ASAP. If you've ever gotten sick or seen how they hazardously serve the food in a contaminated manner, please email the city: safe707@sonoma-county.org

We had a great time at the pool, ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken ceaser wrap which was good, service was not quick so be prepared to wait especially if you have a guest request like asking for mustard or a box for your food. I then went into the women's locker room where I enjoyed some of the spas amenity's. Front desk was so sweet, they charged my phone for me so I could have battery for my flight. I used all of the amenities as I paid $130 for the day which I felt was kind of high. I will say I felt like I was being watched the entire time, kind of hard to relax when you feel like your every move is being calculated. I pulled my phone out of the locker just to check into my flight, and the spa service lady walked up to me within 2 seconds asking me politely to not use my phone. I explained that I just needed to check into my flight, it would take a minute or 2 and I wasn't using my phone to communicate with anyone or use socials, etc. she was really nice and just doing her job but I gotta say, I've been to a lot of really nice spas and locker rooms and way nicer than this one, and I've never felt like I was being watched so closely. I didn't really feel like I had any privacy at all to be honest, so I ended up cutting my amenity time short as it was beginning to feel like I was having more anxiety than relaxing. Then my boyfriend came out of the men's locker room and told me he had a completely different experience he explained that he relaxed and watched tv and when he pulled out his phone to text me or ask what time we were going to meet after using the amenities separately, that no one scolded him or anything like what I experienced!

The all you can eat lunch buffet has a lot of delicious variety. The selection can change on a daily basis. My wife is vegetarian and we love all the vegetarian choices. What separates Darbar's chutney from others is the flavor and the thickness (while other restaurants water their chutneys down). This is one example of the attention to details the makes this my go to for this cuisine. The folks working there are friendly and provide good customer service. It being one of the newer Indian/Nepali Restaurants in town, we decided to give the buffet a try for a Thanksgiving meal. We were promptly seated, we preferred the booth. I can vouch for the Yogurt with Veggies (Raita), Samosas, papad, rice pudding (kheer). They tasted great, I repeated each one. For the other food options (I am vegetarian), my Indian food palate and cravings were left craving for more. The veggies -both were heavily cauliflower based and with similar flavour, not much tasteful. Dal had a strong garlic taste. Palak paneer was made in a different style, though away from the traditional recipe but it was nice tasting. The yogurt fruit dessert was not much picked, I too tasted, but wasn't impressed. We tried the Taj Mahal Lager beer, it is very good, a must try. The restaurant is huge, clean, servers are attentive, buffet is well placed and served at ideal temperatures (both hot and cold). Over all for a vegetarian meal, it was Quite an Average Experience. I may want to keep to ordering an a la carte meal in case we plan to visit again.

We've ordered a lot from here, and I can't think of anything we didn't like. If I had to pick a favorite, it's probably the hot and sour soup. It's a perfect combination of hot to sour ratio. I've had it in a lot of places, and they just get it right every time. The string bean chicken is also one of my favorites. It's very flavorful, and the green beans are very fresh and cooked perfectly. We also really like the asparagus chicken, Mongolian chicken, walnut prawns, moo shu chicken, and the potstickers. My wife loves the sweet and sour chicken, and my daughter is all about the wonton soup. What's funny is we've never actually sat down and eaten there. I always say we're going to, but usually when we're in the mood for Chinese food, we just want to take it home. Every time I go in though, the place looks really nice and has a great vibe. I will mention, especially on holidays, they are absolutely swamped. They have a huge following from the locals who know how good the food is, and they're definitely a favorite for people to order out from on holidays. The butterfish lived up to its name, rich and silky, with a depth of flavor that lingered pleasantly. What stood out most was the cohesion of the dishes. The sauces, in particular, were layered and thoughtfully composed. Another inconsistency I noticed is in some other recipes, some things come very normal and then the next time I visit it is either undercooked or over spiced. I tried to get their fried rice often, but it is hit or miss, as well as their carpaccio which I've had to return at least once (And I hate to do that!) I am, however, writing this review, currently to express my dissatisfaction in ANY menu on their website, being at the regular menu or happy hour, which is bizarre. I feel like this well established business should have a better grasp on not only there online presence, but in-house communications. The staff, for the most part have been pretty friendly, but they do tend to hire people who are pretty indifferent and apathetic- like college kids and teenagers. To finish the weirdly inexistent happy hour menu is absurdly hard to obtain which for such a mediocre establishment. It's very hard to understand why they would do this. I really hope that they do better in the future. I really really do.
