If you need to change you booking after you have checked in...Too Bad I made a booking for two nights, checked in, and within 10 minutes realized I would not need the second night. I asked for a refund on one night and was told the owner would call me the next day. I was at Thundehill when the call came, so I called back after the trackday, and was told there was nothing they could do...period. I was visiting Willows for three days while racing at Thunderhill. This was my first stay at Super 8 and found everything that I needed to make my stay comfortable. Made the booking on-line and the front desk was completely ready for my arrival and staff very courteous Room was clean and nicely set up. - excellent Wifi connection was appreciated - close to local eating places (could walk to the Black Bear diner) I found the place very quiet, even though they were fully booked on the weekend days. I've stayed here a few times. If you stay here, do not let them put you next to the ice machine in room 108 and avoid the ground level. The sound is very very loud and happens all day and night. Also, the TV did not work, there was a filthy upholstered chair (just buy a Little Green machine and clean it ffs), the the door and window did not lock properly. The dog in the room upstairs was running to & fro all night. We stayed here 3 nights and not a single issue was resolved. At 10PM on out last night after we were in bed, they called us to offer to move us to a different room. read more

Despite all the awesome things I said about Days Inn, once I did stay here. I had to, I had no choice! There weren't any more rooms left, I was disappointed but happy to have at least found somewhere to stick my bum at night. I'm terrified of small towns, so I was nervous staying here by myself, but once inside this motel, I felt totally at ease. It's run by a family and when I got there, the couple and their pre-teen son helped check me in. It had a definite family vibe and smelled like homecooked Indian food instead of motel skeeviness. It looks like that was a turn-off to some of the other reviewers, but it made me feel like I was probably not going to be murdered in my sleep by a serial killer, as is my fear in small towns. It was insanely cheap, quiet, reasonably clean, came with unused soap, shampoo, coffee, hairdryer, etc, and had very reliable wifi. I took off before sampling the free continental breakfast, but it looked fine. What I loved about it was that it's a hotel setup, rather than a motel, so your door is actually inside a building, rather than exposed to the outside. It was SUCH a better experience than my stay in Williams, just south on the 5 a few nights earlier. For around $40 a night, I feel like I got a great deal. Don't know if I'll be passing by Oroville/Williams area anytime soon, but if I do, I would definitely stay again. read more

There are better and More cost effective hotels. The back Door doesn't lock... like, no click, no security... just closed door. Wifi was sketch and I didn't feel comfortable and secure using it!! See the pictures of our first hotel room before we requested to be moved because the bathroom was so degraded. Clean hotel and very quiet. We had a room on the first floor but facing the hotel next door so we had to keep it curtains closed for privacy. Each unit has its own ac and heating unit which worked well. Bonus was having a fridge and microwave. Wifi connection is strong and fast if you are working remotely and free for all the devices you have. You are not just limited to two per room like most places. Continental breakfast is included but I personally don't like cereal or pastries but it looked tasty. Price wise, good except checkout was early at 11 am. Most hotels allow 1/2 rate if you need to leave early afternoon. This place despite looking empty on a random Monday still wanted full price. I just needed the room for a few more conference calls since I was working remotely while the fiancé was at Thunder on the track. Staff was nice and always greeted you when they saw you. Def was a safe location and you needed a room key to get into the building. I just wish they would offer 1/2 rates for people who need a late checkout. Or offer a weekday track special or something. I would love to recommend this place for my whole crew stay in one place if we could do 1/2 rate on track days. read more

Honesty if your planning on staying for a while and you have a animal I wouldn't recommend this place. At first I thought it was pretty nice and the employees friendly and helpful. I was completely wrong I told them I seen on their website "pet friendly" I paid my pet deposit witch was only $15 not bad right ? I didn't have complaints till I came back from being gone for a couple hrs to have my room key not being able to open my room door. I go to the front desk for the night person to tell me he believes his boss locked my key.. so locked us out keep in mind My stay is for a week long. Their is no reason I should be locked out my room. You mean to tell me if I go to work I'm fine for a couple hrs you lock my room due to my pet ? The employee goes on and tells me he believes is because the dog.. excuse me I have a small chihuahua witch I paid the $15 pet deposit. For super 8 you can't leave your pet their for a couple hrs. The employee when we checked in was a female she failed to mention the super 8 rules about their animal policy. How is that our fault? I have a 6month baby I had to struggle to get in my room go to the front and argue with the staff. I asked if I can talk to the owner the employee said he is out of town! Okay the next morning comes the owner is their and tells me the rules. I said okay I get that for future reference you need have your employees inform everyone guest about how the pet policy works to avoid a misunderstanding ! You will also get his family walking a round the hall ways just deeply starting at you.. a older women with no shoes just walking up and down the hall ways. I booked my reservations ahead of time my 2 weeks just for him to cancel my stay. He calls me the same day to tell me I have to check out after 7 day a policy, I can check back in! Once again his employee told us all we have to do is extend our stay.. the Miss communication is observe. I am aware of the rules of most hotels you have to check out after a certain amount of days. Due to that reason I asked at check in they told me everything is fine we wouldn't have to check out with our stuff just to extend. A bite is not Sapost to cancel your reservation unless they give you a reason! Axoid is the owner and he won't address a issue to you he will tell his employees to go and tell you. I am a direct person I rather talk to him witch is management. For further notice please get your employees to inform the guest about ALL YOUR RULES AND POLICY! Due to this misunderstanding super 8 hasn't been a great stay to us due to staff and management. Keep this in mind they are strict accused of smoking in our room when we asked for a non smoking room due to our child. I made a reservation for one night on Hotwire for this place because it was close to Thunder Hill. When I tried to check in with the manager's wife this is what happened: Had me listed for the wrong room Insisted that I had not paid yet because she'd never heard of Hotwire even though I had and showed her the booking confirmation that read "PAID" Had me arguing for a room even though she had all my info already FINALLY after 10 minutes gave me a room on the condition that I give her my credit card info including the expiration date (which I told her she should not need if she was not going to charge me) and she gauranteed it was just policy and I would not be charge I came back the next morning at check out on HER request to clear this up and she said oops everything is fine. She just wanted $5 dollars extra for the room which I paid her that morning in cash. NO WONDER SHE SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE BECAUSE I checked my credit card statement today and find out that she charged my credit card so I was charged TWICE for this room on top of the $5 I gave to her. It doesn't seem to matter that I had all the documentation stating I had paid or that she had all my information, all she wanted was my credit card again to charge me. I've disputed the charge with my credit card issuer and advise anyone to stay clear of this place. I had friends stay at other motels in this town close to Thunder Hill and they had no problems. Hotel's a good enough deal given its location. Don't expect luxury for $80 a night out on the sticks, and all. But a moldy, cracking bathtub is going too far. Also, the room I was in was right above the lobby, and the door had a loud, electromechanical latch or something, so any time someone came in our out, it made a loud cracking noise that was enough to wake me up. read more

We stay here often and this by far was the worst experience. I stay here to be near family for a weekend, have a clean room, a decent breakfast (for hubby), and pay a decent price. I have never had issues until this morning when housekeeping started at my door at 730, (disregarding the 'Do Not Disturb' sign and 11 am checkout) knocking on my door, banging into my door with their carts, carrying on loud conversations in front of my door, parking their vacuum in front of my door, and then knocking on my door at 10:50 wanting to know when I planned to leave, the cake topper. This Super 8 is really close to Thunderhill, and it feels very new and clean after the complete renovation. The staff was friendly, and checking in and out was a breeze. There's a dollar store right across the street in case you forgot anything from home, and the fast food options close by are open late night if you're ever hungry at some ungodly hour. Although I just got coffee, breakfast looked like it had decent options. The best part was that the rate was very reasonable for a relatively nice motel. Whenever I'm racing at Thill, Super 8 will be at the top of my list. read more

As soon as we walked in, we were smacked with strong stench of something awful foul. I realized later that it was their home and what they cooked and eat. Folks, this is an American hotel not an East Indian restaurant! The stench was up the second floor. The shower head handle was broken. East security door is also broken n when reported, the reply was, "I am here all night." Dude, it is now reported to you broken, fix it for safety & security of your patrons. I love Indian food, and it was late, so if there was a hint of curry I probably just enjoyed it. What I didn't enjoy was the barely-there wifi. If I have to call you, don't tell me your son is going to come fix my computer because it's a problem with my settings - reset your damned router. For those of you for whom wifi is NOT the most important part of a stay, the rooms are smallish because of the giant tv cabinet, super clean, and the beds are like rocks. read more

I typically stay at Hampton or similar hotel chains, but was looking for a bargain on a long journey. This Super 8 was great! The person who chose the furnishings has a sense of style. Everything was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Aside from a bit of obvious (think learning curve) DIY aspects, the accommodations were swell. My family stayed here once and that was enough for us! We only needed to spend the night once and didn't want to spend much. So we took the chance. The lobby smelled like curry, our room's furniture was completely outdated, like decades old, thin walls & we slept so uncomfortable. Never again will we stay here. We checked in with Christina in the evening who was lovely. Accommodations were totally acceptable. The only thing that annoyed me a lot was that we were told breakfast would be served from 6-9, so we came out at 6:45 and hardly anything was out. It is 7:25 and we are still waiting for the waffle iron to be preheated. We were hoping to get going early to get where we need to go so this is a bit aggravating. read more

Yuck! This is probably one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at, it was just awful. We had a blowout so we had to stay in Willows overnight, and due to Super 8 being pet friendly, we opted to stay there for the night. From the outside it looks tidy and clean, but this is a MAJOR case of "looks can be deceiving." We got a non-smoking room, but the hallways reeked of smoke, onions, and garlic. The bathroom was gross and kind of smelled like urine, and the carpets were stained and disgusting. The top blanket on the bed had hairs all wound up in it, the bed was literally as hard as a rock, and I didn't even want to eat anything in the room because it just felt so nasty and dirty. Please, don't waste your money by staying here. By the time we paid for 2 people, a pet, and tax it came out to almost $60. What a waste, I could've bought myself a nice pair of shoes for that price. Do yourself a favor and stay in a different hotel, you'll be thanking me if you do. =) read more

OMG! Apparently, this motel has changed names a few times recently. It is now a Rodeway Inn. My husband and I are truckers and can usually sleep just about anywhere. We wanted to get out of the truck for a night and found this place in a motel coupon book. When we first entered, it didn't seem toooo bad. Didn't take long to see that it wasn't very clean, the bathroom light was burned out, the bed was hard as a rock, there was no mattress cover on the bed, the shower was barely this side of tepid and NO water pressure, carpet was beyond FILTHY. Since we paid over $50 for the room, we tried to sleep there but wouldn't get between the sheets--slept on top of the covers. At 1:00 a.m. I woke up with my nose so stuffed up I could barely breathe! For the first time in 18 years, we packed up our stuff and went back out to the Semi-truck to sleep. They didn't even give us a partial refund. Honest to God--STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!!! read more
