    Bedbug bites

****BEDBUGS**** I checked in 8/12/23 about 2pm. I was traveling from my old home in CA to my new home in Oregon. I was exhausted and needed sleep. I got myself dinner, ate, and was asleep by 5:30pm. At 11pm, I woke to my ankles and lower legs itching and on fire. I thought I got some mosquito bites at a rest stop and went back to sleep. By 6:30 I woke up and my skin was covered with bites. I was horrified and I wanted out of my skin!!! BEDBUGS. I went to the office to ask for anything to help my itching. I asked for the nearest ER. Just before I left the room, the front desk called and asked if she and the maid could go in to check for bedbugs or mosquitoes. I said yes. Still in shock and in severe distress. I was treated for an extreme allergic reaction to Bedbug bites. I'm was given 4 prescriptions. I went back, gave my paperwork from the ER, the prescription paperwork and receipt, I asked for a refund of my room charge for that night and just wanted to get the hell out of bedbug city. I just noticed the charge for the room did go through, it wasn't reversed. I've now been told I have to call the manager on Monday morning. I've already called the corporate office to report what happened and have yet to receive a call back from them. It's been 7 days now and along with the ER visit, I've been seen by my dr twice and have been given more prescriptions to help alleviate all the sores on my body. Oh and as far as the front desk gal and the maid......they found NO bedbugs.....but they found a few mosquitoes! Of course no bedbugs, THEY HAD A ROYAL FEAST ON MY BODY AND WERE IN THEIR DAYTIME HIDING PLACES HAPPY AND SATISFIED AS THEY COULD BE! I have not even been able to bring in my belongings from my car because I'm so grossed out and afraid they'll spread. Room 107 I was told would be locked up and not used after I was attacked. BEDBUGS. They bite. I've never been so disgusted in my life.

Great hotel and prime location. It's right off the 5 freeway and is very conveniently located near CHP, gas stations, multiple fast food restaurants and there's a Starbucks just a short walk across the parking lot. We received fast, friendly service both in the evening at check in and the following morning as we made our way to the complimentary breakfast. This is a pet friendly establishment. No pets allowed on beds! They offer pet blankets to make up for the bed rule. Breakfast was the standard however they offer Almond milk for vegans and people living with allergies. They also have dairy free cereal which is available upon request. It was nice to have another option aside from fruit for breakfast for a change. The rooms was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was also very nice. Overall I'm very happy about my first stay at a Best Western. Great place to stay especially if traveling with pets.

Curtains that don't close all the way looking onto the bed.

The staff were friendly, especially Julie, the young lady who checked us in. There were problems with our TV she actually came to our room to fix It, she was not able to correct it at that moment and offered us points, although we were not completely satisfied, she had the best attitude which made it truly hard to be upset. Remember attitude is everything. We were on the first floor, no view, just a bunch of trucks but we did not expect much. The beds were super comfortable, pillows were comfortable, we had to get a few extra wash cloths but that was ok as well.. We went out and came back during the lunch hour and there were chocolate chip cookies available, like we really needed them, but it was nice. The breakfast was good, just enough to help us get back on the road to Southern California, thank you Julie for the extra attention.

Plenty of parking, including parking for big rigs, and vehicles pulling trailers. I was checked in by Nadia, who was very friendly and very helpful. The lobby was very clean. The hotel also has a very decent sized indoor pool.... they also have a fitness center and a guest Laundry. My room was spotless. Plenty of plugs to charge my gear, the heater heated the room well. There was a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee machine. The bed was very comfortable.... The star of the room was that Jacuzzi tub. It's big enough to hold two people, and it was amazing. The Jacuzzi Jets were just so relaxing. There's a timer. It gives you 15 minutes of the Jacuzzi Jets. Unfortunately, the timer was across the room underneath the TV set. So when the Jets shut off, instead of getting out of the tub and walking across the room to reset the timer, I just soaked in that wonderful tub for almost another 10 minutes. I slept like a baby afterward. Breakfast in the morning is basic, cold cereal, they have a waffle machine, yogurt, and coffee. If you want more, there are plenty of good places to eat in town. The black bear diner is less than a half a block away, decent portions of great comfort food at decent prices. There was a problem with the TV set. I could get Netflix and YouTube, but none of the Dish Network channels. I mentioned it to Nadia, and she said there wasn't anything she could do. She gave me the email address for her supervisor. I emailed the supervisor, and he called me on my phone in less than 10 minutes. He told Nadia what she had to do to reset the TV set, and she came up and tried, but unfortunately, I just couldn't get the Dish Network. He offered to put me in a different room, but I had already unpacked. I asked if I could get a few dollars off the room rate, and he mentioned that I was already on the government rate. That was fair. At least they tried. In addition to what I did get off the TV, I also had my iPad. One other tiny glitch, while the Wi-Fi was fast enough to stream video, occasionally, it would either bog down, or disconnect for a few seconds. I just reset it on my iPad, and it was fine. This was a great night, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you.

Finding a place for us to stay is always quite a bit challenging because we have a dog. Primarily, this place caught my attention as I was browsing through hotels.com because it welcomes pets and it's cheap, $32/night. He was a little hesitant because for $32 a night, you would not know what to expect. My expectation was way down at the bottom to be honest but all I cared is they welcome pets. For $32 per night (booked through hotels.com), I'd give this place 4 stars. Clean rooms, comfy and firm bed, HBO channel, hot shower, and offers breakfast. The parking is good and the place is conveniently located near the restaurants and gas stations. But just like most motels, it has a distinct funny smell that literally sticks with you tell you get home. So take a shower if you don't want to carry that smell around with you. The doors make this loud banging noise when you open and close them so try to make less noise as much as you can if you are considerate enough. I don't know why they didn't change the name to Willows' Travelodge yet but that's the new name now.
