Will not stay at this one again. Front desk person was wearing such a low cut shirt that her huge breasts were practically falling out of it. Not professional in any way. The soap dispenser in shower was totally empty. The bed sheets were not fitted sheets so by morning was partially on mattress, not sheet. Only had 2 bath towels for 2 people. All other BW I have stayed at supplied 2 towels for each person. For a Queen standard it was very small and did not have adequate or comfortable seating for 2 people. read more

So if you ever find yourself in Willows, CA, make sure you stay here. I don't think it's topping any vacation destination charts, but it does seem like a busy place and the hotel is often booked! My husband goes here regularly for the motorcycle track days down the street, and we've stayed at this hotel a couple times. We also stayed at the hotel next door and the BW is significantly better, so we would never go to the other one by choice. This place is very clean, well organized and has great amenities. The rooms are a good size and very clean. Everything looks newly remodeled (and it might be), the carpets look and feel very clean, they're perfectly touching all the walls and corners, no parts where the carpet is already coming up or torn, etc. The bathroom is spotless with Dove accessories- soap, (the cutest little soap you've ever seen) lotion, shampoo and body wash (those are mounted to the wall so you don't get samplers). Our room didn't have conditioner which was a bummer, not sure if that's standard. I think this is such a key element because that means you're always going to get quality products. The shampoo and body wash smelled sooo nice, it filled the whole bathroom. There's a pool with a really nice hot tub and both are always very clean (and usually empty!). There is also a hot breakfast which I didn't taste, so can't attest to, but it looked legit! There's a cooler with milks, yogurt and a couple other things that we were able to access the night we got there, I'm not sure if that's always available, but we were able to get milks for my daughter for free! There was also a really effective black out curtain in our room, which made a huge difference, because I'm pretty sure the sun would have been shining right in our room in the morning. We also asked for a pack and play and they had a crib waiting for us with all the sheets put in it and it appeared to be very clean, so that was a relief. Apparently if the room is ADA accessible one cannot shower standing up (without making your own mods)? There was no hangar for the shower head above waist level. I checked in late last night and did not realize the issue until this morning and brought it to the front desk's attention when I left for the day at 5:30 am. This afternoon when I returned and they were still checking new guests in I was told they were booked and could not move me. At $175/night for three nights I would have thought I'd have a shower with a fixture setting for standing up without holding it in one hand. read more

****BEDBUGS**** I checked in 8/12/23 about 2pm. I was traveling from my old home in CA to my new home in Oregon. I was exhausted and needed sleep. I got myself dinner, ate, and was asleep by 5:30pm. At 11pm, I woke to my ankles and lower legs itching and on fire. I thought I got some mosquito bites at a rest stop and went back to sleep. By 6:30 I woke up and my skin was covered with bites. I was horrified and I wanted out of my skin!!! BEDBUGS. I went to the office to ask for anything to help my itching. I asked for the nearest ER. Just before I left the room, the front desk called and asked if she and the maid could go in to check for bedbugs or mosquitoes. I said yes. Still in shock and in severe distress. I was treated for an extreme allergic reaction to Bedbug bites. I'm was given 4 prescriptions. I went back, gave my paperwork from the ER, the prescription paperwork and receipt, I asked for a refund of my room charge for that night and just wanted to get the hell out of bedbug city. I just noticed the charge for the room did go through, it wasn't reversed. I've now been told I have to call the manager on Monday morning. I've already called the corporate office to report what happened and have yet to receive a call back from them. It's been 7 days now and along with the ER visit, I've been seen by my dr twice and have been given more prescriptions to help alleviate all the sores on my body. Oh and as far as the front desk gal and the maid......they found NO bedbugs.....but they found a few mosquitoes! Of course no bedbugs, THEY HAD A ROYAL FEAST ON MY BODY AND WERE IN THEIR DAYTIME HIDING PLACES HAPPY AND SATISFIED AS THEY COULD BE! I have not even been able to bring in my belongings from my car because I'm so grossed out and afraid they'll spread. Room 107 I was told would be locked up and not used after I was attacked. Great hotel and prime location. It's right off the 5 freeway and is very conveniently located near CHP, gas stations, multiple fast food restaurants and there's a Starbucks just a short walk across the parking lot. We received fast, friendly service both in the evening at check in and the following morning as we made our way to the complimentary breakfast. This is a pet friendly establishment. No pets allowed on beds! They offer pet blankets to make up for the bed rule. Breakfast was the standard however they offer Almond milk for vegans and people living with allergies. They also have dairy free cereal which is available upon request. It was nice to have another option aside from fruit for breakfast for a change. The rooms was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was also very nice. Overall I'm very happy about my first stay at a Best Western. Great place to stay especially if traveling with pets. read more

I had to stay in willows for a month for work and I only stayed 4 nights at this best western. I asked for privacy because I'm going to basically be living in a hotel and I'm going to be working long shifts and I don't want anyone cleaning up after me. When I wanted new towels they said I had to bring all my dirty towels to the lobby and the attendant gladly took my filthy towels at the entrance. It just made me feel uneasy that my laundry was going through the lobby. The bed in room 206 creaks like no other bed I've ever heard, the only coffee they have is a tiny little nasty flavored pouch, and bring a pillow because these are small squares. If you're tall (I'm 6'3) you won't fit in these tubs not that it had a workable drain anyway. The way the curtains close makes it so that anyone can see you from the outside with the crack between the two curtains. Totally fine for one, maybe two nights that's it. The one star was for the staff being friendly, and by friendly I mean they didn't acknowledge me and that's fine because I didn't want to be acknowledged. For anything longer I HIGHLY recommend the holiday inn that's pretty much next door they bring you unlimited towels to your room, they have a Keurig with pods, nice plush beds that make no sound, and giant tubs. Oh, and no one can see you from the outside, for $20 extra a night I get an extra bed and everything I listed above. read more

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It started out badly when they could not find my reservation I had booked two days previous on BW website. That really was not big deal compared to the terrible BED BUG bites my two boys received. The bites were confirmed by a doctor. I called the hotel to let them know and the front desk person did not seem overly alarmed. I did not get a call back from the manager and was charged twice for our one night stay. If we walked in two employees talking instead & ignoring the phones, or one just sitting there ignoring the phone. Where to start... the king mattress was worn out and sagging, most of the pillows were hard as a rock, the sink was slow to drain and the towel rack by the sink came off the wall. The walls are paper thin and flies came in every time we opened the door. There are plenty of lamps but the bulbs must be low watt as it seemed dark, even with all lights on. The carpet was stained and the bathroom floor was dirty. Overall, we found the room to be run down, dark and dirty. Sadly, I was not given my government discount that I reserved with so was overcharged as well. Won't ever stay here again and would not recommend. Terrible customer service. We booked two rooms here through Hotels.com a few weeks before a Memorial Day weekend event at Thunder Hill. The plan was to stay Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. My parents were in town from Iowa and my sister came up from Fresno to watch my husband race. We checked in on Friday night and went to the event on Saturday. Halfway through the day we were informed that not spectators were allowed and if you weren't racing you were asked to leave. None of the info on the event registration or site indicated that spectators were not allowed. We went back to the hotel at noon and went to cancel with Hotels.com and they said no problem. We would only be charged for the night we stayed (Friday). We then went and talked to the receptionist to let them know we were checking out and confirm that we were going to be charged for Friday but receive a refund for the remaining two days. We were told that because we booked through Hotels.com that the hotel was still going to be charged a commission for the stay and so they wouldn't be refunding our stay for the night we canceled. However, next time if we booked with them direct that we would be able to cancel and receive a refund for the nights we didn't stay. So begins a huge dispute process with hotels.com and the credit card company. The hotel charged my incidental card instead of the card I booked with. Let's be real, it was a super busy weekend, eve with COVID. You know these rooms were filled as soon as we checked out so they got paid at least twice for them plus the premium they were able to charge for last minute bookings. So incredibly frustrating. Do not book this hotel unless it's your only option and be sure not to book with any agency, book direct unless you want to get totally screwed. read more

After a long drive I just wanted to lay down. THE BED IS HORRIBLE! The room seems clean, walls are not too soundproof, carpet could use replacing. Traveling with our dog and they take pets. Wow where to begin. Firstly - make sure you check out the negative reviews over at TripAdvisor! I so wish I had read about the BEDBUGS that the hotel seems to continually battle. If you can put that concern aside, the property isn't that bad - it's fine but probably about twice the price it should be for that level of property. But it is convenient, and that's a plus. What really stood out to me was the lack of responsiveness and basic civility that the management had towards its guests. When I finally asked to speak to a supervisor, she emphatically claimed that she didn't have the authority to address the issues I highlighted and told me that I would need to contact the owner! She refused to give me a number to call and told me that he does all his work via email. This seemed odd, but I tried anyway. Needless to say, Suresh never responded... I am not sure about the negative reviews. I have stayed here about 5 times so far and each time has been great. We stop here from our drive to Oregon from San Diego all the time. We have our 2 dogs and this hotel has a giant backlot where you can walk your dogs so they can potty. Overall I have always had a clean room and again I love that they are doggie friendly. read more

This is a newly converted Best Western so I am giving it 3 Stars because they were still getting the place together operationally I.e. laundry room for guest was not yet ready for use, front office room inventory training had not been done, etc. The place is fresh, nicely furnished with new furniture, oversized mini refrigerator and microwave in room. The bath toiletries, limited towel sets and in room coffee needs improvements. Conveniently located next door to Starbucks, fuel station is a block away, and if you love Chinese food check out Fu Hing - less than 5 minutes away. There is ample parking for large trucks and RVs. There is a small business center, and the breakfast room to enjoy your complimentary continental breakfast is bright, open and airy. BW Willows Inn, has the potential of earning 4 Stars. The decor of the elevator is very urban chic, kinda surprising, but fun! Would recommend a stay here, and for anyone travelling with pets, there are convenient areas for your four legged kids to do their business. Suggestion for BW Willows Inn, work on the landscaping for a more welcome look and place some landscaping between side parking area and Starbucks leaving a walkway access for ease of use by guests to Starbucks. read more

10/10 I came here with my loving wife of 29 years. It was a beautiful get away. The bed was clean and the shower had excellent water pressure. They sent it UPS, charged me $60.00 for shipping and it took 6 days to get here, Then I looked on my credit card statement and they charged an additional $40.00 for a off-duty employee to come in on his day off and take it to the post office???? I have made several calls to the motel and also sent a message to Best Western and as of yet have not heard back from the manager/owner. Room seemed clean enough at first but then we found a pair of dirty underwear in the bathroom. Also they don't wash the pillowcases, they reeked of trashy perfume and I couldn't use them. An oasis when we needed it! We'd been driving for eleven hours when the toddler let us know he was DONE. Fortunately the Best Western in Willows was open and available. The night manager, Patrice, was helpful and understanding when we rolled in, exhausted, frazzled and trying to comfort the crying 3yold. We got clean, comfortable rooms for a very reasonable rate. Additionally, a very generous continental breakfast was included - the make-your-own-waffles were a big hit but they also had healthy options like eggs and oatmeal as well. If we ever drive through Willows again, we will be sure to stop at the Best Western. read more

This is a great spot to stay when you are in Willows for Thunderhill, when compared to some others. The front desk staff were professional and very pleasant to deal with. They offer a discount to racers that are in town for the track, make sure to ask ahead of time. The rooms were recently remodeled and felt clean. We did have a few complaints which held me up from rating 4 stars. The door didn't close all the way to seal out the noise. The motel is close to the freeway so the room was noisier than it should have been had the door sealed properly. The refrigerator, although nice to have in the room, was really noisy. I ended up getting up in the middle of the night and turning it off so it wouldn't keep startling me out of my sleep. And last, but not least, the water pressure was but a trickle. I understand CA is in a drought but at least give us enough pressure to wash off the soap! Be careful upon exiting if you are in your track car, the egress to the street is a nightmare and you could end up very unhappy if you exit straight out. This is evidenced by the enormous amount of gouges in the asphalt as you exit. You've been warned!! For those that had made it this far into my review, be careful of the CHP if you are travelling from the south up I-5. They were heavy last weekend so I'm guessing they've stepped up enforcement in that area. read more

Horrible customer service! I booked a last minute reservation Fri AM through Expedia, and 2 hours later, when California issued a state-wide lockdown in response to the rising COVID positivity rate, I immediately tried to cancel my stay through Expedia. Given the 24-hour policy that Expedia has with hotels, they said that it was fine with them, given the circumstances, but it had to be cleared by Best Western. When I proceeded to call Best Western at Willows, CA, my request was met with an adamant NO, we have the 24-hr policy, and when I brought up the new state order, their way of handling it was to hang up on me! How rude, inconsiderate, and immature!!! I proceeded to call the National Best Western, and again was told that the cancellation was fine with them but given this is a franchise site, the final decision will be up to the franchise owner who has not responded to anyone. In the meantime, I was billed for a stay that I chose to cancel for the safety of my family and in accordance with the state ordinance. Horrible customer service! I will never stay at another Best Western, and I suggest that anyone reading this does the same. read more

Our room was super. We have two small dogs and were happy to have two queen beds. The bathroom was clean and the supplies were great. Was thankful to have decaf coffee in the room. This is an update it took a few days but after writing the best western corporation I was giving a phone number to call I was refunded the over charge on my card as of my last banking checking my account the refund was added back to my account however there are still two holds on my card from this motel that have no reason being there as there charge was already posted so my bank is watching. Definitely one of the better hotels in the small town of Willows, compared to the other options available. The only other above-average hotel there is the Holiday Inn hotel, adjacent to Best Western hotel, Starbucks, and Subway. If you truly want to save a few extra dollars, while still getting quality service, however, Best Western is a great hotel option. The rooms are clean, beds and pillows are comfortable, heating and air conditioning unit is quiet but effective, and staff are professional. The only reason I am giving BW just three stars, however, is because of the white, see-through window curtains, which results in sunlight entering the room during daylight hours. This is not good for people who prefer a darkened room to sleep, surf the web, or watch TV in. Privacy is also another issue too. While people cannot see inside when the room is dark enough, turning on too many lamp lights will result in a certain degree of transparency, allowing people to see into the room. I tested this for myself, and my friend standing with me also noticed the same thing as well. The curtains need to be changed, but other than that, all else is great. read more

Evening check in person was well dressed and welcoming. She was quite helpful as I had accidently made our reservations for the next night. She quickly adjusted things and there was no up charge. She was very professional in giving us all the hotel details as far as breakfast, elevator, check out time, etc. It was raining quite a bit and their covered entry allowed us a dryish place to unpack what we needed for the night. The room was clean and pleasant. Could have used a few fluffier pillows, but overall the sleep wasn't too bad. The in room fridge was amusingly "hidden" in the dresser cupboard. Parking was a little disappointing at no fault of the hotel. Someone had decided to use 7 of the front spots to park their truck and toy hauler. Breakfast was wonderful. Clean, fulfilling, and well stocked. Check out was easy and quick. As an added perk, there's a subway and Starbucks right next door and the CHP office is across the street. read more
