    Bedbug bites

I Give zero stars. My husband, my daughter, and I travel to Plainview from Arlington, Texas. He checked in Saturday the seventh checked out Sunday morning, Our grandfather was taking his last dying breaths through Saturday night. It was heartbreaking. All the family came from all parts of the country Together by grandfather. You can imagine how heartbroken we are by morning, knowing he had passed away. In the morning, the maids kept knocking on our door, asking us to leave. at each knock both my husband and I tried to explain the situation and that we were getting our things together in attempts to get out of the room and headed home. The very last knock that I got, I answered and it was a woman who told me if I wasn't out in five minutes that it was protocol that they call the police. So we're rushing and throwing our things in the car I ended up not knowing where my wallet was and a set of keys. We had to go back to the hotel where I told the lady at the desk what had happened with the threat of police involved. The maids lied and said they never said it . I was shocked luckily I found my things in the car. Once we opened everything up and arranged things more orderly right in front of the doors of the hotel when we had come back thinking our things were missing all this happening as we are mourning the loss of our grandfather, then I come home and realize my daughter and I have bedbug bites!!!! I've taken pictures. Mine are on my breast and my daughters are all over her legs. I will never stay at that place again and I don't recommend it to anyone. This is the first time I've ever given a bad review

They dont tell you this when you book l Online. SURPRISE!!! After 11:00 pm, they lock it up tight and leave. And don't answer their phone.

Rode 15.5 hours on a bus, then walked from the bus station a mile away with 100 pounds of luggage to find out they lock the place up and leave at 11:00pm. Also they dont answer their phones. Cannot check in. These hours of closure are not mentioned when booking online. Can I do a negative star, please.

If you're looking for the most amazing.....ly horrible motel in this quaint Texas town, then please stay here. We settled in for a evening slumber with light snow falling outside and the loud buzz of the heater. What you might think would be the wind whipping the awning around outside on this cold winters eve was actually the curtains flapping around from the high end ventilation system. What was supposed to be dark was light courtesy of the outside building light. Some duct tape and an ironing board later, that problem was solved. Our attempts to reach the concierge went unanswered. We simply wanted to change rooms. Around 4am room service to take our breakfast order and also informed us we could move rooms. Some 5 hours after requested. We asked for a discount instead and were offered a very generous $5. Upon attempting to take a shower we found what appeared to be science experiment gone bad. That or they forgot and left the Petri dishes out which allows the mold to escape. But we elected to forgo the aforementioned shower to avoid certain death from the rotted out curtain rod holder. In the end the manager had no shits to give. They admitted to being fully aware of their shortfalls yet are content to rent subpar spaces taking advantage of hard working poverty level Americans. Kudos to them for winning the best customer service award in Plainview! Not.

#bed bugs#I was quoted a price of 51$a night from the little tweaker upon arrival, and after staying for a week they charged me 56/night and on the day my room was due first they overcharged me then at 430pm i called to ask why my card was charged so much, they tell me that they are sold out. Poorly managed motel, pay incash if u decide to stay here. Very very disappointed with my stay here, and def not worth the price, or shall i say the price they end up charging u at the end.

Texas shaped waffle. Still, it will not change my opinion.

Very clean, and kind staff. I drive through quite a bit coming from DFW and this has always been a nice stop for me.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Plainview - old tv with a mount that doesn't work

It's a very old building that they did remodel, maybe…read morefour or five years ago, but they have not kept up with it and it's age is already showing the beds are ancient. I can feel the springs as I sleep. the TVs are from 2010 and so thick they don't even work with the mounts because they're so heavy mine just leans over and faces the floor. Breakfast is fairly deplorable with nothing really appetizing, but this is standard kind of for these type of hotels. Customer service is ok as long as you don't interrupt them watching TV out in the foyer while they wait for you to come in, then rush to the desk or on their phones. The exterior looks terrible as well. This is definitely deserving of two stars and I won't be staying here again when I come back. forgot to mention my coworker that staying here his room started to leak the other day when there was a storm and they basically told him to come down and get towels and clean it up himself. Really? is this what we call customer service nowadays just a sad excuse for a Holiday Inn..

I don't even know where to begin on how disappointed and dissatisfied I was with the experience. I typically book through Priceline, not sure if that's where everything went wrong or it was the hotel personnel. But right away everything was off, I will provide pictures of what was wrong but I will start off saying the room that was given to us was not a double suite room it was a king suit. Leaving my son sleeping on the floor during our stay. I attempted multiple times to have the room changed and the staff refused and only provided us with bedding to put on the floor for him. They said our room was a double suite. It was not. Second, the shampoo and conditioner bottles were out of their spot, the faucet to the tub was not securely placed and the door just looked unkept. I spent 580.00 for a 2 day/3 night stay for my child to end up sleeping on the floor during this stay. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with how the staff handled the situation and the upkeep of the room. As a frequent guest at a holiday inn this is by far the worst one I have ever stayed in.

Though the place is a…read morebit rundown (needs some TLC)the rooms are clean and provide amenities such as hair dryer, shampoo, bar soap, coffee maker with tea and coffee supplies, fridge and microwave. Also the room I had was huge.... no cramped space. Double bed with nice bedspread and white white sheets with lots of pillows. TV with remote, local channels and HBO channel. Table, desk and a couch that folded out into a bed. Pictures on the wall were simple with soft colors. The worn carpet reminded me of the 70s with its burgundy base color and gold circles place spatially placed .....nice for the times of 70s. I was very comfortable after along drive on my road trip today.... this motel with it's inviting swimming pool and beautiful landscape.... bring a nice day to end. Next morning in the Lobby breakfast buffet style with waffles, juice, oatmeal, yogurt, toaster with different breads, fruit, muffins and more. So with a spread like that for morning meal you should be well fed til lunch. Also in back of motel is a large lot for truckers that can park their rigs or folks with big RVs. They have smoking and non smoking rooms to choose from... Mine was nonsmoking and It didn't smell of any cig smoke which a good thing for folks who are sensitive...,I'm not sensitive.... LOL. The motel for me provided all my essentials and I was comfy at a moderate charge. Oh wait some my call this cheap rates.... $75. That includes all those taxes. BAM!

We have stayed across the street at the Quality Inn before, but they had nothing decent for us because they were full. We came across the street to the Days Inn. They charge the same amount as the Quality Inn, but the Days Inn is horrendously filthy. I have included pics of some disgusting filth. Furthermore, I killed two cockroaches and various other bugs in my room. My suggestion is Do Not Stay Here under ANY circumstances. Also, when we first got to our room, our keys would not work. We had to drive back around the building to the front office to get them redone. Worst motel ever!
