Everyone was friendly and helpful and the towels and bedding are fluffy and clean. After checkout and 500 miles away, I realized I had left an expensive item in my room and called the front desk. My item had already been located and put safely behind the desk and one of my family members was already on his way to pick it up for me! I can't thank the staff enough for the hospitality they showed my family while we grieved the loss of one of our own.

Those little extras definitely made breakfast a highlight. The rooms and building are definitely on the older side, but they're fairly well kept. You can tell the building has some age to it, though. The shower had some rust, and there was an overall older smell throughout the building. The gym was probably the biggest disappointment. It's super small and almost feels like an afterthought, maybe converted from a storage space. There are also no weights, so there's not much you can really do if you're wanting a decent workout. Overall, it's an older property with some things that could use updating, but the complimentary breakfast was definitely a plus.

Customer service is ok as long as you don't interrupt them watching TV out in the foyer while they wait for you to come in, then rush to the desk or on their phones. They have to improve on the detergent they use or the linens they purchase, I woke up to my eyes swollen no idea what allergens were in the bedding. I brought these issues to the front desk, Pat. She made a note of how bad my eyes were and was told she would have the owner look into this and get back to me. It's been 5 days and no response. I'm sorry to say this motels falls under the Wyndham umbrella. You would think they would request better standards.

They have smoking and non smoking rooms to choose from... Mine was nonsmoking and It didn't smell of any cig smoke which a good thing for folks who are sensitive...,I'm not sensitive.... LOL. Tell me why I showed up for my reservation after midnight and left the next morning before 8 am- and they charged me because they could not locate my reservation EVEN though Priceline called and they told them they found it. - then they now say that I won't get a refund because they checked me in first the following day - so I had a hotel room 15 hours before check in time and didn't know I could have stayed until the day after I actually left. Go figure. The manager was a jerk. Yelling at me and I was so polite calling him sir trying to explain it to him but he wouldn't listen to me. I work at the hospital and I had a middle of the night sewer issue that cost me 250 for a room I stayed in for 5-6 hours - not to mention it was not clean and felt disgusting. The poor old man they have working at night is LOST and he promised me I would get a refund but he forgot he works for IDIOTs That cannot seem to figure out his mistake so they can fix it. Don't stay here unless u want to be mistreated and feel gross the next day.

Our room was very nice and updated, had a small fridge and a microwave, and a nice large bed. The hotel is also within walking distance of a gas station if you need snacks and water (which we did). On the downside, the Internet didn't work. But to be fair, I've never stayed at a hotel in Texas at which the Internet actually did work. And I've stayed in Texas quite a bit over the past few decades. But the price is worth staying here and the location immediately off I-27 is very convenient!

But I'd gladly pay for the two nights again if that could remove the memory of walking into that abhorrent room.
