Great concept !! This suite provides the ultimate privacy!…read more
A few minor things I would note and expect-
- the small TV, which was wall-mounted, and in the far corner of the room, had a volume limit on it, and it was way too low to hear even from a few feet away. Fortunately, We brought our portable speaker and connected to the TV via Bluetooth . I suggest you do the same .
-the two sets of double doors are great!! but the set of doors that goes to the private patio, has very tight, fitting cheap curtain curtains, and curtain rods on the door. They popped off multiple times and are not the easiest to put back on.
-the room is like a studio suite, with a separated bathroom and your own private patio, which is awesome.
-the bathroom is extremely small and I'm tiny human. I don't know how anyone moves around in there. That's a normal size person..
- the furniture layout is very uninviting, and the lack of plugs and or tables makes it difficult to utilize.
The hospitality suite available to all staying customers-
- this was great, especially with no human or front desk to help. They allow you to use the hospitality suite and rooftop patio while you're waiting for your room to be ready and anytime you are a guest at their hotel. They have a full-size fridge, water machine, ice machine, coffee maker with Keurig, which was great.
A few things that I would take a note of and Hope would possibly change in the future-
- Important to know there are No elevators, as it's an older renovated building.... So getting up to the complementary hospitality suite, and our suite were a little laborious. Is it possible to retrofit a dumb waiter? Kidding, kind of ;)
- it would be very nice if there was a restroom available in the hospitality suite, especially if you don't have access to your room yet. . You can see that there IS a bathroom behind glass doors, but it's locked .... Maybe they could a code access lock on this so it can be utilized? There's also no TV or music in that room.
- I thought it was pretty lame that you couldn't smoke or vape on the rooftop patio. And they're very strict about it..
- they say they provide snacks, but I honestly expected more than a couple small snack bags in our room. At least in the hospitality suite?!
-The unlimited filtered water, ice, and coffee in the hospitality Suite are great, except if you spill anything; there were absolutely zero towels, paper towels, napkins, or anything to clean up with. They have a full-size fridge that you can keep any of your food in if you need to.
The only other awkwardness was that I felt like big brother was watching me everywhere with all the cameras! I understand there's no employees on site and it needs to be monitored, but it felt a little weird, with them everywhere.
When I searched online for reviews, nowhere did it say that this is directly across from the court house and police stations; not to mention all the bail bonds are on the same street. Don't get me wrong I didn't feel unsafe, and there weren't many unwelcome people in the neighborhood, but it wasn't the vibe I was expecting or looking for.
As for food drinks, etc., there are only a few places to eat in walking distance, otherwise they're an Uber away. But there are three dispensaries within two blocks. Lol
Overall, it was a cool building cool concept great private suite... just not sure I wouldn't stay there again.
