I have been coming here since the early 2000's and the turnaround time has been amazing whenever I have dropped off shirts, slacks, and even coats. Price wise it is also hard to find a better deal given the great quality in the clothes once they have been dry cleaned. The central location definitely helps when I am on the run, or I need to hop back onto the 51 freeway. It's always great catching up with the folks working up front, as they give pretty accurate pickup times for the next day no matter the item/s you are dropping off. As mentioned I have been going to this dry cleaner for years and have referred family and friends time and time again. I brought in a pair of Eileen fisher wool pants and also a silk pair to be dry cleaned. When I picked them up both had been shrunk beyond repair. The owner claimed no responsibility. He became ugly quickly and told me he would fix them but "Don't come back here". When I picked the pants up there was no improvement, however,I didn't expect any because they had been so severely shrunk. But the worst part was how this man treated a customer. I had the same pants dry cleaned at another cleaner before coming here so I know there is something wrong with however he processed these pants. I have been so busy lately that I tossed a week worth of casual work clothing in a basket and tossed it in the car so that I could drop it off and let Suntown do the fluffing and folding for the week. The next aftrnoon, I picked up my things and went home. The next morning I grabbed a shirt and noticed it was covered with spots. I looked at 2 more... both had spots. Every solid color shirt had spots down the front. The patterned​ ones probably had spots too, but they were hidden by the patterns. I decided to try Suntown even though they were priced at twice the price of​ most other laundries. One other laundry charged $.99 per pound. Two or 3 of the others charge $1.79. Suntown provided these spot covered shirts for $2.70 a pound. One more thing. Suntown has one of those drop off drive up drivethru spots where they come out to get your ticket and bring your laundry. They did not come out when I pulled up, nor did they come out for the lady in the yellow hummer who pulled in next. They did come out for the next car driven by a man. The one thing that they did well was to hang everything. So, in recap, if you want to pay twice as much for bad service, and to get your shirts back covered in spots, then Suntown is the place for you. read more

Suntown Cleaners had been fine until I picked up my sweater and it was ruined. It was the first time it had been dry cleaned and it looked like it had been washed a dozen times. The vibrant orange faded and had blueish colored lint, like pill balls, all over the sweater so apparently it was "dry cleaned" with something darker that bleed. Accidents happen but how you handle them is what makes the difference in a business. The owner who was even reluctant to give me his name, Joe-who does that in business, was unapologetic, could not explain why my sweater had all this dark lint on it and then walked away. So if your garments are expensive and important to you, do not use this company. They can care less about your business. read more

The affordable services makes it convenient and easy on the pockets to return. As you can see I am the duchess with my consistent check-ins. I am just impressed with the prices, services and fast services. I can take my items before I get to work and pick them up once I get off. They offer same day service for $3.00 per item. I have even taken some upscale dress wear that I wore at fancy parties and weddings. The cost was slightly more because the items were delicate but I did not loose a sequin. I finally had enough! It all started out great (as most) for me. Loved the hours and convenience. Then they went to a "PAY FIRST" policy. Ok, I guess, but what if every service based business did that? don't you think that is kinda strange? Then things got worse. 1. Girl at counter. I guess I should have gone to Yelp before dropping off $50 worth of clothes. After being told to drop off clothes unbuttoned, I picked up my suit jackets, dress pants and dress shirts in a hurry. When I got them home, my husband opened them up and the shirts has steam stains around the buttons (big white crescents!!!) These shirts were unusable!!! I could take them back but this is pretty standard and total blatant disregard for doing a job right. Not going back. read more

Ruined my rug. Last summer I took this rug in to Suntown to be cleaned. When I picked it up it was nicely rolled and bagged. I didn't open the bag until today. The rug is torn along both long edges. It won't lie flat. I don't have the receipt any longer so I'm sure they won't make it right. Not that they would even with the receipt based on others' experience with this shitty place. Worst customer service EVER. The lady who calls herself the manager got agitated with me when I asked about why so many washing machines and dryers were out of service. She yelled and cussed at me and told me to go to another laundry if I didn't like it. She then followed me into the parking lot yelling that I could talk to the owner and he would tell me the same thing. A few days later, I did. She was right. He could care less about the general disrepair of the machines or the rudeness of his employee. The location makes the place a gold mine for commuters to drop off and pick up dry-cleaning. My guess is that most customers don't use the Laundromat and as such, will never have the encounter I had. I will honor the rude managers request and NEVER spend another dollar in that dump. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a dry cleaners. Not only did they ruin a 2,000 dollar dress of mine, but then when I called to get help with the huge burn mark on the dress they refused to have any manager/ owner call me back. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. I RARELY write reviews here but I couldn't help it. I had been going to this dry cleaner for almost two years with no issues. Everything was going good until I noticed a series of spots on a new dress shirt (paid over $100) that had never had those spots when I dropped it off. I immediately noticed them and told the polite lady of it. She said I would have to call back when the owner was there. I thought the owner should have reached out to me but ok. I did not want to be a pest. I came back a week later and she was there again. I was told the same thing. I asked that they clean it again to see if the spots would come out. They were more faint this time but still very visible. I insisted on speaking with him but she said she would leave a note for him to call. He never did. I followed up a week later. This time it was a younger boy working. I informed him of my issue and he suggested to call back when the owner was present. I told him I was tired of the passing the buck that was going on. I told him to get the owner on the phone. After he got his boss on the phone I insisted on speaking directly to the owner but the owner refused to speak with me. He would not let the boy hand over the phone to me!!! He did not have the integrity or accountability to speak with me, a weekly customer, for the last 18 months. I was appalled and irate! Not only that, he made a young, early twentysomething kid face the music for him! This place needs to be avoided! People who do business like this have no business being in business. Open early, open late - 6am to 10pm on weekdays, which is so handy-dandy for us workaholics. For this reason alone I could not go anywhere else, as up until this recession thingy my life has been all about how to get life done while working a gazzillion hours. That said - I've been a Suntown regular for 9 years (anything that CAN be dry cleaned DOES get dry cleaned) with overall consistently good results. The husband has had a few buttons ruined and a couple times had an errant staple in his shirt (???), but the problems are limited to 1-2% of the total items we bring in, so I can live with that. This is not the prettiest cleaners you ever saw but the same day cleaning and laundry (if in before 9 or so beats the others hands down. Their prices are better than most and the staff is friendly. This place is horrible, it's dirty, it's falling apart, super ghetto, washers and dryers are old and don't wash and dry your clothes very well, after an hour of drying my clothes it's still damp, I guess the guy who's in charge doesn't remove the lint often and this place is almost always closed. This place is bad news. I've only used the laundry side, it was very dirty. Old machines and gross water, my clothes did not seem clean after. They don't even seem to wipe down anything here. The people working on the dry cleaning side were unfriendly when I asked them a question. I have seen homeless people inside doing their laundry, using the bathroom to wash up, even sleeping out behind the place. I worry about bed bugs and other hazards when at places like this. Crackheads should not be managing a business. Crackheads should not be anywhere NEAR a business that deals with humans. First time experience was great. Efficient, affordable and good results. Second time experience (only the SECOND TIME), HORRIBLE. They told me they did not have my clothes. Crackhead did NOT ask me for another number or any other information in order to find me in the system. Boyfriend dropped off my clothes and crackhead misspelled my name and hence created a whole new profile for me. Went in to get my clothes and she blamed US for her not being able to locate my clothes. Not only that but her attitude, tone, and words were absolutely horrible! She yelled at me in front of the other customers and told me/us not to blame her for the mistake and to get out of the store. She would not even give us a name. And this Joe character is the owner??? Riiiight...Joe... DO NOT go to this store unless you count on luck to get you through. Just as you can never reason with a drunk, you can NEVER reason with a drug addict. Once upon a time but no longer, Suntown had the advantages of low prices and extended hours to compliment their acceptable cleaning services. They still have the long hours, but their prices have nearly doubled in the past 3 months, with no notice to customers. They are now about $3 per item, laundry or dry cleaning. This place is and has been prepay for a couple years now. I believe they also charge extra for credit and debit cards. I must concur with the lack of customer service skills. They fail to be congenial or helpful much of the time. Pleasantness is valuable simply because it facilitates human relationships and keeps our blood pressure low. With these new higher prices, there is no reason why many of Suntown's customers won't be looking for a new place to take their cleaning. There is an attached laundromat you can use, but it is in poor shape with many broken machines. However it is serviceable if you need one. read more

I have used them for almost 20 years...week in, week out...I'm sure I put their children through college...suits, white shirts, ties, and more shirts. While I'm not "Mr. GQ", they have always done a great job...I've not had a button tear or steam stains...I did have them re-do one shirt years ago and the owner was very professional. Some turn over on staff but I have ALWAYS found them polite, friendly and professional. Very frustrated with this place of business. My wife took in a new $150 dress to get it dry-cleaned. When she went to pick it up, they said they couldn't find it and told her to come back when the store owner was there. A few days later she returned, and the owner told her they didn't have the dress and that they likely accidentally gave it to someone else with their pick up. After inquiring into the policy for reimbursing us for the lost garment (which was to pay 50% of the cost of the dress), the store owner was extremely unapologetic and disrespectful.
