I had 3 items that needed to be dry cleaned and decided to bring them in to Monte Vista cleaners (first time using this dry cleaner). When I went in the woman behind the counter was talking with another employee but quickly finished and came over to help me. She took my items (1 pair of my pants, 1 blouse of mine and my husband's new suit), rang me up and told me when I could pick up my items. As she did this I mentioned that we had a special occasion coming up and we needed hubby's suit cleaned for it. I had hubby pick them up so I can't speak to how the pick up process was. Hubby brought the items home and they were wrapped in plastic as you would expect from the dry cleaners. Fast forward to the night of our special event, hubby takes his suit out of the dry cleaning plastic and gets dressed. As we're walking into the event he goes to button his suit jacket and noticed that the button was missing. This was extremely disappointing but mistakes happen and we moved on. A few nights later we were getting ready to go out with friends and I put on the blouse I'd had dry cleaned only to notice that it was torn at the seam. I have to say I'm really unhappy at the apparent lack of care they have for others belongs. Once again I understand that things happen and had it only been a missing button or two, I wouldn't be upset but this was obviously not a fluke since more than one of our items was returned in bad condition. To drop off three items and get two back damaged is pretty poor odds. I can understand them loosing a button here or there but this is the first time I've used them and 2/3 of what I dropped off came back damaged. This is not a good sign and I will definitely not be back. It's time for me to find another dry cleaner. read more

I used to come here because I'm comparison to other dry cleaners in the area it was cheaper, friendlier, and did nice work on my clothes. They are now under new management (not always a good thing apparently). Was surprised to find out they no longer honor discount coupons previously sent to us long time customers $ and they are charging an INconvenience fee just to use your debit card. On top of it, the staff I have encountered has been less than friendly my last two visits. So Monte Vista Cleaners, you are no longer cheaper or friendlier than the cleaners closer to me. I think I'll start paying the additional 20cents to patronize a business closer to me. read more

They LOST my duvet cover! I dropped off two items a King size Duvet Cover for dry clean and a comforter for laundry on 11/13 and was told they would be ready on the 11/19, I went in to pick the up on 11/23 and was told they can't find it. Two employees searched for it, I was told it should be back but they can't find it. It's two days before Thanksgiving! Thanks a lot Greg Hill!!! Now I have to go buy a new cover!!! I dropped off a new Ugg comforter at the cleaners on 8/8. I specifically showed the comforter to the front desk and there were no spots. After the first cleaning we found two rust colored spots. I asked them to clean it again but after the second clean the first spots went away but more spots appeared. Again, I asked them to clean it again since before dropping it off there were no spots present. On the third cleaning the spots went away, however the comforter fabric became messed up and was pilled throughout. On 8/17 a man named Russel returned a call and identified himself as the owner. Originally I was told that if I took the comforter home then I would have no remedies. However on the call he said that the cleaners would take no further action and that the damage was done. My daughter is sad and unhappy and I am too. I will not be using these cleaners and would recommend others to do the same. read more

We have been very disappointed w this business. We take our clothes to be dry cleaned and pressed and we always get them back wrinkled and pressed badly. Shirts are not crisp and pant legs are poorly pressed. The crease is always wrinkled. Many times the stain are not addressed. I take my items home to see if i can get it out (and i do) but have already paid them to do a job they did not do. We have spoken to them several times and nothing has changed. As professionals we can't go to work looking disheveled. We will NOT be using this business again. We will take our business and our money somewhere else. read more

Definitely not the nicest looking cleaners but they get the job done. Relatively inexpensive and they give a discount to Midwestern Students. I actually got power steering fluid stains on some wool pants and a dress shirt (don't ask me how) and I thought I would have to throw them away. I previously took my clothes here with OK results. At this point, will never go again and suspect new ownership/management. I had a bad experience one Satturday in May and chalked it up to bad luck (it is $2.25 for dry clearning so I do not expect superior cleaning/service), but the last time I went will be the last time I go! I took several plain scarves and 2 shirts for cleaning on Saturday morning with pick-up in the afternoon. Nothing was actually clean - the shirts smelled like chemials but had not been cleaned or properly ironed. The scarves smelled like cigarette smoke (I don't smoke), as though they were jammed in a bag with smelly clothes all day. Disgusting! I will never use these cleaners again. BTW - the name and address seem to change - this place is on 59th avenue and the 101, southwest corner. The dry cleaning place is next to a bagel shop. Avoid them! read more

I gave them 3 stars because their speed and prices are great. But I took 2 shorts, 3 shirts there for dry cleaning and a press, and the press was sub-par. Not crisp, wrinkles, and just not what I expected for a press. I took pics. It looked like a rushed job. I won't be going there again. I'll look for another shop. read more

So there name on Yelp is a bit behind the times as they are now Monte Vista $2.25 Cleaners.. Still, at $2.25, I find them to be the best place in the area. You can't beat the price, and no matter what I drop off, shirts or pants to be laundered or dry cleaned, I always know it will be $2.25. I hate places where some shirts are $1.50 and some are $4 but you don't know until you get the bill. Same day service is available for dry cleaning which comes in handy if you are like me and wait until you are out of clothes before you drop things off.. read more

I APOLOGIZE-THIS WAS MEANT FOR MONTE VISTA #3 at 777 E THUNDERBIRD ROAD. very upset with how poorly 3 items we took to this cleaners turned out. We need them corrected for an upcoming wedding so won't risk taking them back in. The new suit jacket does not hang smoothly and I pray it will be corrected at the next place (not chosen yet). The pockets are not laying smoothly inside the lining and one side looks like the pocket is full of something! The two new shirts that were laundered with light starch turned out with parts barely pressed and bad creases starched in to several areas on both. I could have done better myself! I have photos to try to post. Aside from spending $16 of which most was wasted money -my frustration is off the hook. So sad. read more

Great dry cleaners - - I dropped off my items late on Saturday (10 am) and they were super nice about getting it to me same day. Later that day, at 8 pm, I realized that I forgot to pick up dry cleaning. I was in town for the holidays and going on a business trip later that week. I looked up the company's contact information and emailed the owner, Greg, who quickly responded on a Saturday night! He told me he'd be working at the shop on Sunday on some maintenance things and swing on by. I was able to get my clothes. Amazing service. read more

I got to say I loved this place and I was coming here for almost two years until they began ruining my stuff. I took a pair of covers for some couches from my mother's house back in California for dry cleaning and they were completely ruined. I thought it might've been the fabric itself so I let it go. Fast forward three months and I took one of my wife's expensive $300 dress from For Love and Lemons. It got dry cleaned and when I got it back the tag with the brand was completely worn out. My wife is a blogger so she gets clothes and sells them and without a brand on a tag it's difficult to sell. What really killed it for me was the fact that we took a brand new dress from Topshop for dry cleaning. I picked it up and checked it right there in the store and to my surprise the dress was completely ruined. The fabric looked worn out and stitching had came out. I told the owner and he wrote a check for the price of the dress. I was glad that they took care of that for me. It's sad that I need to look into another place because this place was a minute away from my house and they have good prices. It is not worth to go there and have my clothing get ruined. Sadly, I will not be going back again. Be careful with irreplaceable items because they might be able to make you a check for them but you will never be able to find your item for sale. I'm not trying to trash the place but three times of getting stuff ruined was enough to warn others. read more

I've used this dry cleaning service several times now and I have to say that I think they provide a good service for a very affordable price. Anyone in health professional school knows that a white coat is a necessary part of the uniform for clinical rotations. By the end of clinical rotations, it gets beat up and gross, to the point where throwing it in the washing machine isn't enough to get it sparkling white. I used to save dry cleaning for special occasions but at $2.25 (with a Midwestern discount), I don't feel guilty about having my white coat dry cleaned often. It's not perfect - lines aren't firmly pressed, but all the stains are removed and it's brought back to near new! TIP: 50 cent charge to use card. read more

Absolutely great cleaners. You can read the other reviews and find out they do a great job dry cleaning. BUT what they don't tell you is what this cleaners does if something goes wrong. And that's what really counts! Ruined one of my favorite rather pricey jackets. Got my cost and value info together and went to the main location. The owner was fantastic, looked at the jacket and simply agreed there was a problem and assured me he would make it right. Very pleasant and professional to deal with. Put a check in the mail to me within a few days. I could not have dealt with a more professional, experienced businessman who took responsibility for the staff and product. I have been coming to this store for over 10 years. While I haven't had perfect quality 100% of the time, what I have experienced is a customer service level that I have struggled to find consistently as years go by. When I have had a garment lost, frustrating as it is, they have always compensated me quickly, and with understanding. When an expensive dress was damaged in the process (which had been worn once), the owner took the time to research the dress, find the manufacturer, and have a replacement sent at his expense. During this experience, I was educated on the fact that many garment damages are caused by manufacture mislabeling. Upon a small amount of research on my part, I was able to confirm that this is not a new industry problem. After reading some of the other reviews I have noticed a trend in customers (throughout various industries, mind you) that indicates the lack of knowledge of how particular businesses work. As a consumer, we not only have the responsibility to inform others on our experiences, but should also take the time to make sure we aren't expecting a service level that is unrealistic for a given industry. Monte Vista while not perfect, has always taken care of me. I definitely recommend them, and believe that they are worth loyal patronage. read more

So far so good. If you get your dry cleaning there by 9AM they will have it ready for you by 4PM...no extra charge and their price is exceptional to me. I was lucky enough to find a coupon the day I was dropping off four jackets, two pairs of pants and one skirt, got them all cleaned for less than $20, and they did a great job. It's easy to get in and out of the parking lot off the 101 using the 59th Ave. exit and they have plenty of parking. If you are regularly through this area like I am, I suggest you check them out. They require payment in advance and they take debit but not credit cards but at these prices, I'm okay with that. read more

I have been a regular customer for years and aways happy! Something has changed as the quality of the laundry service is terrible! I have asked for a certain level of starch on my shirts (same as aways for years) but now it never comes back correct. Most of the time with little or no starch at all. I have asked that the manager call me to discuss so we can figure out the issue (I want to keep coming to this location) but after several promises and attempts to reach them I have had no response. The employees are always nice about this but I really want it to be fixed. Not sure how to get it done and have that great experience I am used to back again. May have new ownership or management? This USED TO be a great cleaners. I brought in 3 pairs of pants for dry cleaning and a shirt to be laundered a few days ago. All of the pants had been previously pressed with a crease so I expected that I would get them back the same way. All 3 pairs were pressed flat with no crease, and the pressing was not very good either. I had to re-iron the pants at home and put the crease in myself. The body of the shirt looked great but the sleeves were not pressed. All in all, a disappointing experience and a waste of my money. read more
