I've attached a photo of my home and front door we have not been able to use for 10 days. The only access inside and outside is through our garage. My home is only 3 years old and we are the first occupants. My builder gave me the info for Sunshine Windows, whom he utilized for several new builds in our neighborhood. The door is a 9ft tall, metal impact window. It's heavy. As it stands 3 years later, it's apparent that the hinges are not sufficient to support the door, resulting in the door now sagging and being inoperable without causing further damage. I called Sunshine Windows and explained the situation, the gentleman on the phone said that they only offer a 1year warranty. At this time, I thought I was speaking to the installers, not the actual manufacturer AND installer. I questioned the validity of only offering a 1 year warranty on such a high-cost item and one that is expected to last far beyond 1year. It's a front door. He said he'd speak to someone and get back to me either later that day or the next. The next day came and still no word so I called again. This time I spoke to a woman who asked me to email her with my info, builder, and a video of the issue and someone would get back to me. The next day I attempted to send the video but it was too large, so I just sent an email once again describing the situation and relaying the info for the third time. The next day still no word back so I call again and get the same man I spoke to the first time. He said they never got the email and confirmed that I had a misspelling so I resend. Another day of entering and exiting our home by opening and closing our garage. Still no word so I call the next day. I get the same gentleman again who asked me "so did I give you a price?" Of course my response was "price for what? The door you all manufactured and installed is faulty and I'm simply asking for you to stand by your work and product." He said the warranty is 1 year and that's that. Of course, then it becomes me being the "Karen" asking for the manager (ugh. Insert eye roll). He proceeds to tell me that the manager is the woman I spoke to days earlier and she already told me it's a 1year warranty and that's that. I reminded him that's not at all what transpired and she simply gave me instructions to email a video and a summary of the issue. She got on the phone and said it's a 1 year warranty. Period. Am I mad now? You betcha!!! Because what I've failed to mention is that every person on my street that's had the Sunshine Windows front doors installed on their home, has the SAME EXACT ISSUE. I told her this and there was zero interest. I said there must be someone else I can speak to that cares about this. I mean this is YOUR product! Don't you stand by it? Don't you want to ensure that it's something you can be proud of and have people count on? We're talking a $3K door here that's lasted only three years? Ask yourself-how many times have you had to replace the hinges on your front door because they've failed? She said she would speak to the owner or someone else who was in charge and get back to me tomorrow. I know this drill. I've been through it all week. I said the only other option we are left with is a review. Please stand by your product so we don't have to go there. Because this is just a stupid way to have to get a company to pay attention, yet here we are. I did get a reply shortly after my last call via email which stated we'll come fix your door for $200 and referred to my "tone." Lady, if you couldn't use the front door of your house for over a week and you've been calling the installer and manufacturer for 4 days to get a resolution you'd have a "tone" too. Obviously I have zero desire to give a penny to a company like this. Clearly they sell a cheap product to developers who like to keep costs low. And there's plenty of those in South Florida to keep Sunshine Windows and their GARBAGE product in business for a long time. Pretty to look at though. Just don't try to use it. read more

We're replacing all the windows and doors on our house. Sunshine is literally a ray of sunshine in a very murky South Florida market. Maria has been responsive, patient, and has put up with us revising our quote several times. We broke a larger project up, and already have one door and window from them. They arrived exactly when promised. We're very impressed by the quality and finish. Our experiences with other window companies have been horrible, so it's been very refreshing to find a reputable truly local company... they're a short drive from our house, and we can visit and actually observe their operations. Maria is excellent at setting expectations. We realized that the hurricane shutters we put on our house to meet insurance requirements when we bought it in 1993 now need to be replaced to meet new code, or we can keep paying ever-increasing insurance. So, tired of shutters and high insurance, we decided to make the big switch to hurricane doors and windows. We called and visited half a dozen window companies in Miami. We kept running into two manufacturers, which after a while we discovered were actually one company. The prices were high, and the dealers were mostly badmouthing one another, since they had no true product differentiation. Sunshine, and in particular Maria, has been a pleasure to work with. We already have replaced one door and window, and have ordered new doors and windows for the whole house in January. Th windows were incorrectly sized then took forever. Their contractors damaged the outside of my house and several of the moldings. They only fixed it after several attempts from different employees. Once my windows were FINALLY installed, they didn't pass the inspection. The windows NEVER passed the inspection but somehow they still managed to tack it on to my property taxes. 1 year later when I tried to get an inspection done on my home the windows didn't even have the manufacturing stickers so again the inspection failed. Newly built home 2023. Just after moving in I noticed water filling the tracks of the sliding doors, also one of the sliding panels moves easily no way will this hold up to a Fl. Hurricane. They will screw up your house, cause mold and water damage until you notice and can afford to clean it, then tell you it isn't their problem anymore. Enjoy the work. You'll be redoing every bit of it (and paying for it) twice. Details: I bought a home with impact glass windows installed by this company. Since it was only 3-4 years since install (I will have to check paperwork again) I figured we were in good shape. New windows, right? Wrong. I am now (1 year later) spending several thousand dollars to treat the mold in my walls around the windows that is now coming through the drywall and paint. Then I will have to have the floors and drywall around those areas redone since the moisture caused warping in the flooring(no quote here, yet). I also have several thousand going toward fixing the windows, the seals (that leak air right through the frame) and the trim, which means having every window in my house pulled apart and redone. When I called, the response I got was (sarcasm warning) FANTASTIC! It is beyond the one year warranty so they won't even look at them. No apologies; no inspection; no offers. Nothing. Do not accept any warranty or guarantee. The work is garbage and will destroy your house before you figure it out and they will just say "it's out of warranty" which is one year. I did a lot of research on the market and came across Sunshine Windows. Their representative Yandys Garcia was fantastic to work with! I ended up replacing all the windows of my home and also my rental unit with impact windows and French doors and have recommended them to my neighbor and he actually changed his windows with them also. They took care of measurement, permits, installation and coordinate with the City for final inspection. Really bad experience. We purchased 2 windows on May 2019 they promised 2-6 6 weeks for delivery but it wasn't until July 12th that they claimed they got the windows but it wasn't until July 20th that the same sells rep who sold us the windows gave us a call not after we tried to get in contact with them in different occasions but they will only say the windows will be ready soon. Now we lost the contractor who was waiting on us and I will have to pay double for the demo and installation work to complete the project. No only that we don't need the second window anymore as we ended up buying a different one cause we couldn't wait for them anymore. After all this Sunshine windows will not take responsibility and they will not do anything to help us. We offered to get one of the windows ( the one we still can use). And pay any difference if any but they come with their only option that not even made any to sense to us but for them. I have 41 windows in new my house that I will buy from a different company plus I purchased $10k plus from them before for a diferente house but they preferred to not help us when they broke the sell contract from the moment they could not deliver the job on time. I will not trust them for future work. The owner was onsite but they claimed he was very busy to see us and the Manager Dennis all he has to say is ..the contract ....the contract and he also confirmed that they deliver next day jobs when they took forever to deliver my only 2 windows. The people at the reception is careless they were on the phones and do not even acknowledge you when you arrive cause they are too busy talking about personal business. Early September 2015 we contracted Sunshine Windows and paid them $29,000 for hurricane Windows and doors, for our home which we were renovating extensively. It is now early February 2016 and the job is still not finished and much of what they have finished is shoddy and has parts missing. We are senior citizens and on a fixed income but we are happy to pay for honest quality work. We have been treated like garbage and left without windows for months because the salesman ordered the wrong size. To make matters worse they told us that yes we could get Windows installed on our 1949 house, then when they came to install they said they couldn't install 5 of them. We had to pay an extra $11,000 to modify the front wall or they would not install them. We still can't install the guest bedroom windows so we are stuck with 2 large windows we can't use. We lived all through our holidays with no screens because they forgot to order those too. Today a crew came out to install the 2 other windows which had been ordered in the wrong size initially, and they had to attach them with an ugly bracket with screws because these were so late our house was already finished by the time they brought them. On top of all that there were FOUR nice men but not even ONE spoke even one word of English. My husband does not speak Spanish. I had to interrupt my work to go and translate. We even physically went to the huge manufacturing plant to see a supervisor and ask for at least SOME financial relief for the $11,000 disaster with having to modify the wall and the fact that it has been 5 months since they have our money. I ordered windows and I was told by the sales person it would be ready in a week from the date ordered. When we tried contact the sales person via phone to schedule a time for arrival the sales person would not call back. We persisted to the point we requested to speak to a supervisor because she didn't return calls. Only then did she get on the phone and was rude, she even went ahead and changed the story around and said the order would take two weeks rather than one and she blamed me for the misunderstanding stating that I had children with me and that was the reason I misunderstood. She told my husband that she refused to speak to him because he was the present and every time I tried calling after that she conveniently was unable to reach the supervisor. read more

After having a really hard time finding an appropriate company to change the glass of my windows i found THE ONE. I really recommend it. I am the pickiest person you can ever meet when it comes to my house and when it comes with a service that I'm paying for. I contact the service department and talked with someone named Ernesto. He was really profesional and help me a lot understanding the mesures and installation process. I booked the service and they came on time and did a really good job. They took their time to change every single window and unfortunately I couldn't see the process because I had to leave but when I came back everything was done and extremely clean. Not even a finger print in any of the windows that was installed, either the track was clean. I really recommend this company that is located hialeah. I called them because they originally installed the windows in my recently built home. I had a cracked window in my upstairs bedroom facing the backyard. They first came out within a couple of days with the wrong window and informed me the correct window would take ten days to order and they would contact me to reschedule.... ok no big deal. About 3 weeks later they show up unannounced with the window ready to install. Again.... not a big deal. Heres my problem, they shattered the old window and all the glass spilled out into my backyard. They made no attempt to clean or pick it up. See photos i posted. They took advantage that I was not home and chose to be lazy and unprofessional. I came home from work late and spent the rest of the night cleaning up their mess. I would not recommend them anybody. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE . They advised 4 weeks. Then it took months to get the windows done. Once they finally got here they gave a date to start so another contractor opened a door in my house based on what they said , then come to find out that a sliding glass door was not ready . So I had an open wall In my house for another week. My Contractor had to put wood to close this opening . That was just the start . The workers lied to both us and my contractor . Two guys got fired from sunshine . They also broke a outside camera I have . They also broke a pipe from my sprinkler pump as well as a sprinkler pipe and hid it by turning off my sprinkler timer . I cannot say enough how happy I am with the job they did on the windows. Tony was an excellent sales rep and supervisor, he was prompt, professional, and reasonable. He passed by the job site a few times throughout the day to ensure everything was going okay. The installers were experienced and professional, and they were fast! Finished the whole job in one day and left it so clean you would never have known there had been work done.
