Yesterday my tenant called on a Saturday afternoon. I was out with my wife and kids when the call came in. He had accidentally broken the large window next to the sliding glass door. I told him to sit tight and that I would make some calls. I checked with contractor friends, scoured the internet, Yelp, etc looking for help. Who could do this on a Saturday?? Most glass repair businesses were closed. The few that were open took the call, promised to call me back but then blew me off (two of these were 5 star companies...their review is next!). Next I called Affordable Glass & Door Repairs and Ernie answered. I told him what happened and he very methodically told me what to do. He was right there with me in my urgency trying to solve the problem on a Saturday late afternoon. I put him in touch with my tenant to make arrangements. Ernie drove over to the building and took measurements and then today, early on a Sunday morning, replaced this huge broken window. His price was very fair. And my tenant is happy. Everyone knows in Miami it's hard to find honest contractors. This company was honest, fairly priced, quick, and extremely professional. Hats off to Ernie. Super happy with their service. Quickly set up an appointment to come by and give an estimate for replacing the glass of a hurricane impact window. I had been told by other companies the whole thing would need to be replaced and was quoted 2700 (!!!!) for one window. Ernie and team were able to replace just the glass for $395. What a difference!
