This review is long overdue. Last July, I bought a Coachmen Nova 20C from Sunshine State RVs. I live in California, so buying an RV from a dealer across the country was a pretty big decision. Before buying, I spent months researching Class B vans. During that time, I found Sunshine State RVs' YouTube channel, and honestly, it became one of my favorite resources. Their videos are informative, well-produced, and show the RVs in a way that really helped me narrow down what I wanted. Those videos played a big part in my decision to buy the Nova 20C. Once I knew which model I wanted, I started shopping around for the best price. After comparing dealers, pricing, and reviews, Sunshine State RVs came out on top. I worked with Austin throughout the buying process, and he was great. He answered every question I had, worked with me on pricing and financing, and never made me feel pressured. Buying my first RV was a little intimidating, but he made the whole process easy. I decided to fly to Florida instead of having the RV shipped because I wanted the in-person walkthrough. Sunshine State RVs even picked my daughters and me up at the airport and brought us to the dealership. When we arrived, the owner, Nick, came over to introduce himself. He immediately let me know about a cosmetic issue that had happened during transport from the Coachmen factory. A tire had been placed inside the RV during shipping and left a stain on part of the flooring. They had already tried everything they could to remove it, but it wouldn't come out completely. What impressed me was that nobody tried to hide it. Nick explained exactly what happened, apologized, and gave me a few options. Everything else on the RV was exactly as expected. Then Corey patiently walked me through every part of the coach. After watching so many of their YouTube videos, I was looking forward to the walkthrough, and it didn't disappoint. He explained everything clearly and answered every question I had. Even after I got home to California, I reached out to him a few times when I couldn't figure something out, and he always got back to me quickly. That kind of support after the sale means a lot. The paperwork and financing were straightforward, and afterward my daughters and I spent a couple of days at a nearby RV park learning the RV before driving it all the way back to California. I thought that was the end of the story, but it wasn't. Sunshine State RVs contacted Coachmen about the flooring issue, and not long after, I received a phone call from Nick, the General Manager of Coachmen Class B. He apologized for what happened and told me they wanted to make it right. Their solution honestly surprised me. They arranged to have my RV picked up from my home in California, transported back to the factory in Indiana, the entire floor replaced, and then shipped back to me. They worked around my schedule and handled everything. Special thanks to Paul at Coachmen for coordinating all the logistics. When I got the RV back, the floor looked brand new. You'd never know there had ever been an issue. I've owned the RV for about a year now, and looking back, I'm just as happy with my decision as I was the day I bought it. Sunshine State RVs earned my business with their pricing, but they earned my respect with their customer service. Austin, Corey, Nick, and everyone else I interacted with treated me incredibly well. Coachmen (Nick and Paul) also deserves a lot of credit for standing behind their product and making things right. Buying an RV is a major purchase, and it's nice knowing there are still companies that genuinely care about their customers after the paperwork is signed. If you already know for sure which manufacturer:platform that you want to buy BEFORE you visit this location, then this is the place for you. If you are totally unsure and need all of the valuable info and opportunities to drive the vehicles to get the feel, then this place is NOT for you. I drove down from PA because they supposedly had a lot of class B's. I couldn't decide which one I wanted. I had narrowed down that I required a Mercedes for comfort, but was trying to decide the manufacturer/platform. I was told that I could only test drive one RV because all Mercedes are the same even though they are on different manufacturers/platforms. This is a huge purchase and different platforms are not all the same even if they are on a Mercedes chassis. If I wanted to drive three different platforms then you should have allowed this. I was allowed to only drive literally 4 blocks around in the area without the opportunity to see what rattles if I drive faster and longer. This is why I left and did not make my purchase with you. The only good thing is that they did have a good example of different manufactures and this is why they are receiving a 3 instead of a 1 or 2 rating from me. However, had to wait for someone to unlock though so that's time consuming. Should have unlocked in the morning, and lockup at closing. read more

No follow up. Slow to respond. Unit on display was obviously being used because the black tank stunk real bad. Salesman couldn't really answer any questions, you could tell her knowledge was minimal on the model. We bought from someone else. read more

This review is only based on my interaction during Ocala RV show only. I was recommended by a couple in Daytona Beach about Sunshine State RV. They are class B specialist so it is worth to make the drive to see all different RVs. Overall I am happy with everyone I met. Originally I was only interested in Roadtrek, but the sale folks also bring my attention to Coachmen and other brands. I did tell them I am not ready to purchase but everyone is friendly and helpful. read more

I have been looking at Vans for awhile now. I found Sunshine RV online. I sent in a request for information on one of their Revel's. I got a call back from Shelley, she pretty fast started sending over pictures and getting me excited about the van. Answered all my questions through out the day. I put a deposit down and did all the credit stuff. I was approved and they were going to deliver the Van, but I got a bit nervous. They are on the other side of the United States. I am in California. So I ended up flying over there because it's a lot of money and you never know. To start off Sunshine's "Cole" picked me up with in 5 mins of landing. We had a nice ride over. When I got to their property everything was clean, washed, and in order. It looked like they had control of their RV's. Some lots have everything open and it's like Disneyland for family's kids. So I was very impressed. Cole took me in and introduced me to their Revel specialist "Corey". This guy knows everything about the rig. We started from one end and touched pretty much every part of the van in a very prepared way. It seemed like he really had a game plan on how to cover it so it made sense and stayed with you. He didn't bounce around. I then sat down with "Ritchie" I think he is the finance manager. Super nice guy. He got me a great price on a top to bottom warranty. Which I almost never buy, but when it makes sense it just does. Couple small touches, they knew my daughter would be riding with my wife and I so they had already bought us the luno bed for her to have a mattress to sleep on. Then they also gave us the surge protector for the van. A bunch of starter stuff as well. My favorite is the custom coffee cup which fits perfect in the cup holder. They didn't have to do any of the extra special things but it was very much appreciated. All in all an amazing experience. I really feel we went with the best dealer. They are honest and fair and take pride in the product they sell. The Van was seriously spotless. If you have the chance to go down and meet these great people it's awesome. Recent service that was scheduled weeks prior was completed on time. Ryan and Ben were thorough and attentive. Ben spent time explaining all that he completed with me and answered many Li3 questions I had. Ryan finished paperwork with me after my meeting with Ben and removed an ongoing a/c water leak repair chrg because SSSRV had recently installed it. Thankfully, Nick allowed us to leave our SUV on property because we were headed north not south. Saved us 410 extra miles. read more

I forgot to come back to my review. it took a year to have all the problems fixed. They needed to change the refrigerator because it never works. Sunshine is not sunshine at all. I don't suggest to a Rv from that place because they sold me a RV that had a lot of problem ,they do not do a check up on the RV. So my advice to RV buyer buy something close to you house. read more

OUT OF STATE BUYERS BEWARE! I purchased a new 2022 RV from Sunshine State RV in November of 2023 for $165,000. It was delivered to me in Montana for free, as their ad states. The delivery guy said that the chassis battery was not charging the house battery and I would "need to have it fixed". I was told that the RV would be delivered in new, "ready to go camping" condition. They told me that, in order to get a loan from their bank, that I had to sign a paper saying that I went there in person to pick it up and that everything was in good condition, it was my stupid fault for doing that. The one problem it came with multiplied into MANY problems. A drawer was not fastened properly and flew open whenever it was driven, it needed a new inverter and a new transfer switch, the generator would not run more than 30 seconds and had to go to a Cummins dealer, the hydraulic hoses on the levelers leaked and had to be replaced, the the windows had to be replaced because they leaked and had caused mold, the shower door was broken off of the track, the toilet seat was broken, the solar panels did not charge the house batteries and the back inner tire was totally shredded on delivery. I did not know about the tire until a few weeks after delivery when I had new tire stems put on. Out of caution, I had six new tires put on. I left a review about my problems and Nick Schmidt, the owner, called me and said they didn't need any negative reviews. He offered to pay for my set of tires and I said I would take the negative review down, which I did. I asked him why this RV left their lot without being inspected and he basically said "we can't check everything every day". BS! After six months of it being in for repairs, the solar issue was never fixed. I sold it to a dealer for $100,000 just to be rid of it. I am out $65,000 because of Sunshine State's negligence. They are just after your money. read more

So thankful for Justin and Andy in the service department. My water pump went out late Friday night on my Roadtrek. I drove 5 hours to be there when the service department opened on Monday morning. I was willing to wait all day. Justin fit me into the busy schedule and was able to replace the water pump by the end of the day. Also replaced the hinges that keep the freezer door closed. Andy did an excellent job on the challenging repairs! Both Justin and Andy were caring, knowledgeable and thoroughly explained repairs and costs. I just want to take a moment to say how grateful we are to Sunshine State RV's for making the purchase of our new Road Trek Zion Slumber so pleasant. We were in Lynnwood Washington when we saw the ad and I have to say more than a little stressed about spending that much and making such a life changing decision as I prepare for retirement. We shopped a little in our area and found this to be a great deal compared to anything we could get in WA with the same specifications, so we started calling with a million questions and making arrangements to purchase over 3,000 miles away. Austin was so nice answering every question patiently and with a smile, if he didn't know the answer, he would go look for it or get support from Nick. We made arrangements and I flew down and stayed in a hotel while they added a couple of items that we requested and yes, they did get everything done on schedule, as requested. During the orientation walk-thru Corey was very thorough explaining everything to a newbie. A couple of minor things were found and without question, they requested that they be addressed right away. The customer service throughout the process was outstanding, but while I waited in the customer lounge it was beyond surprising and joy to see, EVERY person that walked through that room communicated to each of us, saying hello, giving status updates, offering drinks and snacks, etc. The experience was great, and we will definitely be back! i bought a new 2022 NOVA Coachman April 29,2022 and boy did I make A big costly investment buying this RV.... it is in there Service department, waiting to get parts to fix the sliding door that leaks real bad... I had to take it in to get the fire fly fix and if I get the vehicle back, I need to take it into the Dodge dealership to have them replace a new radio so the GPS will work and the Blindspot lights working that will keep turning off without any reason.... I wish I would've went with my gut feeling that day when I bought this RV and walked out the door. Now I am stuck making payments on a dead horse and the owner does not care about my situation. if you are interested in buying an RV coachman, nova or any type, do your homework and shop some other place because you will not be able to use your RV as it was intended to......and Coachman Will not even contact me after phone calls and emails think hard before you buy it or you will regret ever going to that place...... read more

Stopped in last week to look at some RV's. We were greeted by an awesome lady named Sheila. After we told her what we were interested in looking at she went and got keys to 5 or 6 vehicles she thought we would like. She told us all about the history of the dealership and how they started selling RV's. She showed both new and used models. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Inside the RV's she showed us special features and showed us how things worked. She let us explore the inside and let us take our time. The lot isn't very big but they had lots to look at. The RV's are jammed tight side by side. We didn't have any problems getting inside or walking around them. Once we were done we went inside and were given brochures and a business card. Great experience! I noticed a repair garage to the side of the building. There was also a few people inside buying RV's. So if you're in the market for a class B RV check this place out. read more

I went here looking for a class B RV. When I first walked in I was struck how bright and open the office area was. Every single person I interacted with was very friendly and professional. Even while waiting in their lovely customer waiting area, an employee came in for a coffee and introduced himself (rather than just ignoring me, which would have been ok too). I am so glad I found this dealership. One of the main pieces of advice given from RV owners is find a good dealer, and I feel I have. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a class B and I plan on using them for service anytime I'm not on the road. Great experience buying a Roadtrek from Sunshine State RVs. I called Nick and he told me he just had a 2015 190 Popular come in. He sent me pictures and all the info about the unit. I gave him a deposit and flew to Florida. I flew into an airport 2 hours from Gainesville and Nick had a driver pick me up and drive me to Gainesville. When I arrived, the RT was all ready for me. Although 3 years old, it looked brand new. The inside was spotless as Sunshine State RVs does a thorough job of prepping a used vehicle. Matt thoroughly explained all the systems and Kevin prepared the paperwork. Once home, I had a few questions and Matt called me and answered all my questions. Would definitely buy another unit from them. Great customer service. Just wish they were closer to NC so I could use them when service is needed. read more

Wanted to buy my rv, sent a deposit, tried to arrange pick up, said he sent a wire and had confirmation, but when I wouldn't drop the rv off until the funds were in my account (which they never showed up in) he disappeared, seems quite shady. read more

My experience was perfect with Sunshine State RVs. They really went out of their way to make sure that the RV I was buying was perfect. They even filled it up with gas for me!!! If I ever buy an RV in the future, It will be with Sunshine State RVs. read more
