I bought an awesome RV From this dealer and had a great experience with the sale, first off Sarah, the sales person was awesome and took great care of us! Had to have some warranty work and I took it to the gander location in st Augustine and they did nothing but butcher my brand new Rv! Looked like a 3 year old did the repairs, so sad. I emailed Sarah the pics and not only did she call me, her GM called to let me know they will totally take care of the issues! They were caring, empathetic and told me all will be taken care of! I have recently had an incident with my rv and had to get some plumbing work done at the Camping World in Saint Augustine Florida. I worked with Spencer in the service department and his professionalism and attentiveness was way above par. He quickly came out with a tech to assess the damages and got to working on fixing the problem. As it is often, we had to wait on parts. Per my request, he ordered the parts with an overnight delivery. Unfortunately UPS dropped the ball and the part was delayed over the weekend. We got the part on Monday around 1:00 pm and the rig was fixed by 4:00. I have heard horror stories about "Camping World" and their service but I have had two issues repaired on my rig in two different Camping World locations and they have been more than helpful to me. Buyer Beware - Camping World Sold Me a Dangerous, Defective RV and Barely Offered Compensation! I recently bought a 2023 RV from Camping World in Lake City, Florida, and the entire experience has been a disaster. Despite their "pro-American" image, Camping World sold me a dangerous vehicle and refused to cover the repair costs, leaving me with over $4,000 in expenses. From the start, I was misled. The RV was advertised with 1,500 miles, but it had 2,500 when I arrived. Even though I asked if everything was functional, I was assured it was. I was urged to sign an "as is" document, but I was told this was simply standard paperwork and that the RV was in perfect working order. During my first trip, I encountered severe problems, including a major fire hazard under my daughter's bed. The wires leading to the hot water heater were melted and covered in electrical tape, which a Camping World technician admitted should never have passed inspection. This is a glaring safety issue that could have endangered my family, and it's clear the dealership was aware of it. I immediately sought repairs at another Camping World location to ensure there was no question about the legitimacy of these issues, but the only reimbursement I received was a mere $250. Additionally, when I first arrived at the campsite with this RV, I hooked up the plumbing and found that the Black Tank was full from previous use (GROSS!). I am an honest person that treats other the way he would want to be treated. When I did my trade in for this RV, I personally went through the camper I gave to Camping World and made sure it was clean inside and out and checked to make sure everything was fully functional. I wish Camping World treated me with the same level of respect. Camping World uses an "as is" clause to excuse themselves from any responsibility, despite verbally assuring me that everything was functional. They were pushing hard to sell me a warranty at closing, I turned it down and specifically said, "If you guys say all is working on it, I trust you." Now I know why they were pushing so hard for me to buy the warranty, because they knew what they were selling me. They claim to stand for American values, but their failure to stand by their product and support their customers shows otherwise. This experience has made me question whether their patriotic image is just for show. If you're considering buying from Camping World, beware. Their sales tactics are misleading, and their commitment to customer safety and satisfaction is virtually non-existent. I expected better from a company that presents itself as trustworthy and reputable, but I was let down in every way. Save yourself the trouble and take your business somewhere else! No doubt, Camping World will try to reply to this review to make excuses or to try to pretend like they are "working with me" to get this resolved, but I have already been given that sort of treatment and they refused to resolve it.f **UPDATE** As predicted, this company replied to my review asking for me to reach out to them - to give the impression they are working with me to resolve it. We were greeted by a smiling face & quickly taken on a golf cart to look at the type camper we were searching for. Jared was informative and friendly & he didn't push us at all, just listened and quickly found the perfect camper for us! We spoke with one of the managers, Mike, about the details of our sale. We prefer their straight pricing & were able to negotiate with Mike for an upgrade on accessories. He ordered the accessory and a new door to replace one that was damaged in the unit we purchased. The following day we arrived to pick up our camper and Devin walked us through how everything works and all the features. He was very knowledgeable and even gave us some good tips about various things. We met with the Finance agent, *forgot name sorry*. He went over the required paperwork that we weren't able to complete the day prior. After getting home, I realized he'd sold us a Road Assistance program that actually COST MORE than it does straight from the Good Sam site. I have yet to hear back on cancelling and/or receiving a refund. I deducted a star for the extra cost on the Road Assistance and because we have yet to receive a refund. That star belongs to Finance Manager. I will update his name when we return in a couple weeks to have that door & accessory installed. read more

I held off on making a rash review, because we had a number of things go wrong from the start.. so now that I'm 6 months in I can solidly say, if I had a time machine- I would never buy anything from any Camping World ever again. Do not make the mistake I did- of thinking you are getting a "certified" used RV. And that your customer service experience will be anything like how they make it sound with all their Good Sam "freebies." Initially I was told the whole thing would be cleaned, that they would make any needed repairs before pick up, and that the used mattresses inside would be replaced or at the very least removed. None of that happened. Our first week out full time we ended up dead in the water due to poor wiring leading to an electrical short and had to replace a number of things to get it up and running. The water pump has been leaking pretty much since we got it, unbeknownst to us. And has been completely out of order for months. We attempted to get it fixed at another camping world near us, only to have them order a new pump- charge us twice as much as the website has it listed for, and then say they didn't have anyone to do the repair? Several small things were also broken that would have been easy for them to order and replace, and instead have had us searching high and low for. I had to replace the house battery. And now my hood is peeling away from itself. Good Sam is basically a referral service, and have yet to see why I have to pay for it. And if you think the corporate office will help- I can assure you they will say- you bought it as is. So don't make the same mistake I did, don't fly halfway cross country and sign all your papers before anyone let's you tour the thing. Because once they take your money, you're pretty much invisible to them. Update: I get this corporate robo response to email marcusVIP on anything. Who in turn refers you to someone in "customer support" and they never seem to understand what you could possibly be upset for. So I dunno, take your own mechanic and rv expert with you to make your purchase? Or just gamble and buy something off Craigslist, like maybe I should have done. read more

I wanted to practice in the parking lot, as it was my first time in an rv and was refused. Insked if I could come back the following day (as I was told before) and was refused. I was extremely nervous and needed help with driving and parking and was refused. I subsequently had an accident parking when I got home and damaged the rv. The only reason I give this many stars is because of my great sales associate, Joy, and the camper was beautiful and explanations were pretty clear and concise. read more

Found two things we wanted, presented our Good Sam card and the cashier tried telling us we had the "wrong" card. This "wrong" card had our membership number on it. I tried to order parts here. The first time I called, I actually got through to a very helpful parts associate. I even received a second call to tell me my part had been ordered. After that, silence. I called and left 1 message a day for 5 days. I even had the person answering the phones tell me parts was extremely busy, but she would have the retail sales manager call me. Nothing. I called back yesterday and left one final message saying I would like to pick up the part, if it's in (as it's an hour drive to their store). Still nothing. So, I tried to give a local shop my patronage, but they couldn't be bothered to return 1 of 6 calls over a week+. Ended up ordering the $1500+ in parts on Amazon today and will have them Friday. **Customer Care** One thing you could do is have your parts department respond as quickly (or at all) as you did. My husband and I went to this RV lot today and wanted to see some different ones and layouts. When we pulled up this guy was sitting in a golf cart (salesman named Don) and didn't even bother getting up to greet us. I approached him and said hello and then he said hi back, again, not really taking any initiative to help. I told him we would like to see some campers and that we were new to the game and wanted to get a better idea of what we wanted. He said sure I'll take you around and we hopped on his cart. He took us to the first one and explained they literally just got this one in, it was used, and we went inside and took a look. I asked a few questions and he said I have another one that just came in today and we haven't even cleaned it out yet but you can see what it looks like, the previous owners just traded it in for something bigger. That one was nice but both these were basically newer models and move in ready style. Thats when I explained to him that we were not afraid of a slightly older model that needed some work to it and asked him if he had any of those types on the lot to look at. He stated they only took in up to ten years old and I said that's perfectly fine but he was unwilling to show us any on his lot when I asked if he could take us to see. I gave up on him bringing us to see older models and asked if he could show us one of his larger fifth wheels so we could compare that to the smaller two he showed us. He then turned to my husband and I and says, "well to be honest I make a commission off these and so the time I'm spending with you I could be spending with someone who wants a new one". Are you kidding me? How is this even acceptable to say to potential customers this day and age? Being my husband and I are both professionals I was absolutely appalled And disgusted at his statement to us. First you were so lazy you couldn't even greet potential buyers when they arrived, then you state we are a waste of your time because you have to explain things and actually get up and move around to show us different models?? I can assure you we did NOT bother "wasting" Don's time anymore after that and we will not be back to this location either if the manager allows this type of behavior from his employees. Please don't go see Don if you are a newbie to the camper world, he cannot waste his time with you! read more

Horrible service I give no stars they were eager to sell me a 50k camper for it to break about 25 days later. When I took it back to them they told me it would be 1 to 2 weeks bc I brought it without an appointment which I understood....almost 90 days after my purchase I'm just now getting it back due to electrical issues. Take in mind I had to make 3 payments while they had my camper and because I use it to stay in out of town for work I had to pay $3600 for hotels while I waited for them to fix my brand new 2022 camper!!! I made a punch list to get some small items fixed and they are now going to give me drawer guides to install myself! I had water on my ceiling coming from the ac and all they could tell me was there was no water because they just had a hard rain...The guy mike was somewhat helpful but rude at the same time. There was also a heavy set woman that was very short with me when I came back to pick it up and offered to give me parts to install myself even though she said "we're not supposed to do this but you can do it yourself". I regret spending this kind of money with these people and highly recommend just going with general rv in orange park they handled my campers issues in just two days and found the leak on my ac unit that was molding my ceiling as well. The Lake City Camping World is not worthy of your business. On May 30th of 2020 I dropped my RV off at this location for generator repair. A repair that was estimated to be completed in a two weeks took nearly six weeks. It was determined that the starter and start/stop wiring were the issue. At the 43rd day I was able to pick up the RV, the service department was unable to repair the generator for the $1100+ they charged me. I was told the generator would start and run, but that the unit would not provide the voltage it was designed to, they estimated that it would take an additional $1400 in parts and labor to make it work, consisting of a voltage regulator, which was working at the time the tech tested the unit prior to reinstall. Upon inspection of the technicians notes it appears that he was able to get the generator to work on the test bench, it was running and producing power on the test bench, but that it would not work after installation. I immediately called the service manager, who attempted to blame everything on just about anything but the tech or their work. The service managers attitude was to blame this all on me, as if I was trying to make the unit not start. So on July 13th I picked up the RV, paid $1100+ for a generator that was supposed to start and run, but not produce the proper voltage. When I got it home the unit would not start or run. I escalated my concerns to the advertised Camping World national resolution center and got nowhere. They are not willing to resolve the matter and consider this an appropriate outcome. I want to make sure that anyone considering Camping World of Lake City for any kind of service knows that this is not an trustworthy or honest business and take your money while not providing the service you pay for. Please do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

Worst customer service for rv repair of body damage ever! They have had my rv for 4 weeks and have yet to submit the estimate. No ideas on when the repair will begin, much less finished. We have called them for updates and made the 4 hour round trip there several times and still in the dark. I brought my camper in for warranty work in Sept took it back in Nov because we had company coming and needed it no work was done at that point ! Sent it back to camping world after the holiday they don't call to tell you anything many calls made to them finally called Jayco all at once they had the parts but only some of them well after all said and done I called them Tues 30th of Jan they said oh yes your camper is done well when we're you gonna call got to pick it up and it looks horrible shoty work after all these months I expected better shame on you camping world I will tell every one I can not to buy or get work done with you all read more

Replaced a vent that wasn't broke which caused a leak that was previously fixed. They ran the batteries down because someone left a power vent open and running. Had a leak in the front that wasn't fixed after resealing all the seams on my roof and charged a fortune for it. Finally brought my trailer in a third time for the same leak, this time it was fixed and they wanted to charge me more money to fix the leak that I originally brought it in for! The manager was mean spirited, rude, and left me shaking with ire, though he waived the second charge after I made a scene. "You have an old trailer and it's going to leak". I asked if the Lake City Camping World would honor a quote on installing base plates on my car. I was supposed to get it done in Tallahassee but had to leave for Ocala for a surgery at the VA. Ocala said they would match the price that Tallahassee. Now the VA has sent me to Lake City for PT for 4 months. So I asked the service manager at the Lake City if he would match the quote I had from Ocala and Tallahassee. He tried to tell me they both forgot the shipping cost at both Camping World's of $125.00. I know what E-Trailer sells it for and ships free. Now that I am here in Lake City for 4 months I need it done. So Camping World in Valdosta will install the base plates for the same price as Tallahassee and Ocala. This shop does not need the business I guess. And he was rude about it and acted like he was too busy to talk about it. I also thought their showroom looked like a warehouse. read more
