Asked the lady for a bass bait caster. Was given a cat fishing pole. And they don't give refunds.

Love this small town bait shop!! I hear people always assume the best of the best big store shops…read morelike cabelas or bass pro shops are the go to places for fishing needs, and never take the time to check small time bait shops. I always get a good laugh from that. Because from my experiences in most small town bait shops nationwide & especially Hawthorne Bait, they offer so much priceless value. I've never felt pressured here to buy the crazy expensive rod or reel cause it's what's hot. They sell me what's most efficient to my fishing style. This alone seems simple but is the difference between experienced anglers like in Hawthorne compared to high school kids at cabelas just getting a pay check. Also, the atmosphere and overall attitude from employees here is always very welcoming when I stop in. I fish all over and they don't know me here. But when I stop in I'm treated like we've been fishing together forever!! Also if you take the time to talk local fishing with their employees here, you'll find their local expertise & knowledge is the most up to date around. I've always fished anywhere new I could find since I was young. I never felt judged or like an outsider coming here years back as it was mostly the older crowd. Even now I'm in my 30's I roughly get to this area of the state 1-3 times a year fishing. So they don't know me what so ever when I stop in here. The atmosphere is still the same, extremely welcoming every time. When I make it around this area when I'm fishing I make sure to stop in to catch up on the local fishing and to pickup gear/bait to support their shop even if I don't actually need anything. You know good places when you see them and I always do my best to support them when I can. I hope this review helps as it's an overall layout of my years stopping in here from an outsiders point of view. I don't mean I live the next town over. I lived in Michigan until July 2018 and have fished this area for years when traveling down here to Florida. Now I finally moved to Florida this year and able to explore this area more often. 100% complete outsider review!!

Now, I have lived in Florida for over 10-years and I have run into some really bad customer…read moreservice...but this place takes the cake. I usually take bad reviews with a grain of salt...because everyone can have a bad day; however, this business seems to have one consistent complaint. Now the bow maintenance I needed was a very simple task of replacing my D-Loop. I came in already knowing the cost and was happily going to pay it. The guy acted...well to be blunt...nuts! I spent a total of $24 and change that day...and it will be the last dime they will ever see from me!! I'll be damed if I will spend any money in a shop where they treat people the way they treated me. I can't really even explain the hostility this guy displayed...it was so odd. He acted like I had not only interrupted his day...but that this menial task had somehow put him out. Now granted, it was only $12 or so to have him tie a new D-Loop...but WTF. I don't have time for any business that treats customers in this fashion. I'm assuming that Jerry's Indoor Archery is on it's last leg...and I'm not surprised as to the reason(s) why. If you plan on spending any substantial amount of money on archery equipment...I suggest you go somewhere they will appreciate your business. I'm just one little customer who apparently doesn't matter to them...and that's okay because they won't be seeing anymore of my money! As for me...my visit to your shop cost me $24 and change; however, it cost you a new customer, potential sales of new bows, arrows, targets, archery services for me and my wife. Lets not forget...potential sales to my friends, neighbors and family. As far as the D-Loop...well, it seems to work just fine. But then again...I could have had that done pretty much anywhere archery products are sold. The other item I bought was an ammo can...which I could have bought elsewhere. So when you see Jerry's...just keep on driving.

Great shop with excellent staff. I am a novice in archery. Justin is a master technician…read more Buster is world class archer and an outstanding teacher. (I highly recommend taking lessons from Buster if you want to get to the next level and win.) This is my go-to shop for 'anything archery' including bow set up, tuning and technical questions. Going forward, I won't let any other shop touch my bows.
