John offered to check it out and solved what turned out to be a misunderstanding on my part with the operation of the pistol (I did not have access to the manual and I downloaded a manual for a very similar pistol which then led me astray. S&W naming for pistols really drives me crazy ) John fixed the problem, and showed me how to correct it . We then had a pleasant conversation about collector firearms and hunting. Over-all this was a terrific visit to a great shop full of knowledgeable and friendly people. I make this shop my first stop when I'm shopping for anything firearm related.

It's not a cheap weapon and is advertised to have a high performance trigger as it is a target model. Lawfuldefense had one in stock and I like to support local business versus order online. Everything was great until I brought the weapon home and fired it. There are problems with the trigger, bad enough to where I did not feel safe with the gun. I called the store and was told to bring it back in and we could work out store credit or something. I told them I could not ship the gun and have it shipped back because I am in the process of moving out of state. I don't have an address that's any good right now. I drove back down and brought the gun in and was then told that they could not do any sort of refund, I would have to have them send it back to Kimber and they would return it to me wherever I was, it did not matter that I didn't have an address. I was also told I would not need to return to that store, but I did not trust that process. I bought a defective item from a retailer and I expected them to handle the problems that came from the factory not me. That's the whole point of going to a local brick and mortar is the support. We argued quite a bit, I questioned why I was told one thing on the phone and another thing in person, and I ended up leaving with my new expensive paperweight. I drove a ways down the road and decided to go back and just give up the gun. I brought it back into the store again and told them go ahead and ship it back to Kimber and I'll worry about where I am and how to get it later, it's better than just losing 2,300. At this point, the story had changed and I was told that I had to physically come back to that store to retrieve the weapon after an unspecified time it would take Kimber to fix it. I finally got to talk to somebody different, the nice confused man who had been helping me all along went and got the boss. The boss ended up doing a refund, but charged me 10%. So bottom line is I drove 4 hours to pay them a $200 restock fee on a defective product. I don't call that good customer support at all.

They special ordered my very first (adult) bike and they've serviced all my bikes since. I 100% have enjoyed B&M's professional service and friendly employees. Until today. Two days ago I called and asked if I need an appointment to bring my bike in for servicing today (06/11/2026). "No, just come on in and we'll help you out." So I did. Rode my bike there and was greeted by Steven (Stephen?) who came outside and took a look at my bike. Not too much wrong "but we can't get to it today. If you want to bring it back,"....he says, and then I told him I spoke with a gentleman two days ago who said to bring it in today. His reply was, "Hmm. That sounds like something I'd say,". I told him I didn't get the man's name but that I was willing to leave my bike until they could get to it and he said he couldn't tell me how long that would be. (Which I completely understand). So, I thanked him for his time and told him I'd just go somewhere else and he replied, "ok," and we parted ways. I'm no avid cyclist but I do use my bike as my primary transportation and I've always been loyal to Bikes & More. Not anymore and no more recommendations to friends and others. Steven you were polite but obviously not interested. I wish you would have just said so.
