I've used Bukes & More for probably 15 years and have used them solely for all my bike and accessory needs. They special ordered my very first (adult) bike and they've serviced all my bikes since. I 100% have enjoyed B&M's professional service and friendly employees. Until today. Two days ago I called and asked if I need an appointment to bring my bike in for servicing today (06/11/2026). "No, just come on in and we'll help you out." So I did. Rode my bike there and was greeted by Steven (Stephen?) who came outside and took a look at my bike. Not too much wrong "but we can't get to it today. If you want to bring it back,"....he says, and then I told him I spoke with a gentleman two days ago who said to bring it in today. His reply was, "Hmm. That sounds like something I'd say,". I told him I didn't get the man's name but that I was willing to leave my bike until they could get to it and he said he couldn't tell me how long that would be. (Which I completely understand). So, I thanked him for his time and told him I'd just go somewhere else and he replied, "ok," and we parted ways. I'm no avid cyclist but I do use my bike as my primary transportation and I've always been loyal to Bikes & More. Not anymore and no more recommendations to friends and others. These guys... and gal... are great, nice and chill and took time to teach me how to replace an innertube, check everything, and put a tire back on. Taught me the difference between Schrader and Presta valves as well and the adapters to use to air them up. Then wouldn't even take payment! I love nice people. read more

The mechanics are very professional and know how to deliver quick service. There is so much inventory on the store, that it look a little disorganized, but I assure you it is not. On a road trip to visit family and do some Bike Florida road rides along the way I realized that I had left the seatpost mount for my Garmin Varia taillight/radar unit at home on another bike. Tried another shop in G'ville and they referred me to B&M. No, B&M did not have the mount in stock, but they MADE me one using the Garmin twist lock cup from another mount and attaching it to a new mount they put together from parts. It works as well as or better than the stock Garmin mount and got me through my rides. Many thanks for the great service. Funny thing is I was doubting they could do it and was getting ready to leave but they wouldn't have it. They insisted on making the mount... and for a very fair price. I am glad they did. I brought my bike in for an inspection since it had been in storage for over a year and wanted it evaluated before I rode it again. I was very surprised that they looked at it immediately while I waited and within 10 minutes or so he adjusted a few things, inflated the tires and said I was good to go with no charge. I was heading to Gainseville to see my son and drop off his bike. On the way I thought about how old the tubes were and how long the were in our garage. We the heat of south fl I decided to have them changed. Called on a Saturday morning around 11:00 and to my surprise, they said bring it by and they could get to it today! Told them I was still an hour away and they said no problem. Dropped it off and tHey were as nice as could be saying they could do it right then. I told them I would go to lunch and come back. They helped me find a new road bike that fit my size and my riding; when I had a problem with my derailer and took it back about a month after purchase they fixed it FREE OF CHARGE, and tested it to make sure it worked before sending me home. These guys are super friendly and honest. They have fixed everything from my bike to my jogging stroller and at times have figured out something that could fix the problem without too much work when the other option would have cost me a bunch of money. Highly recommended for repairs. I have never bought a new bike from these guys but I spoke with a few members of their staff and they were all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help in any way. They are not arrogant in the slightest (which you sometimes experience at bike stores). Every time I have gone in to get something done (on both my mountain and road bikes) they've done it right. I did some yelping to figure out which bike shop I was going to and this was the one that gained my first visit based on your reviews. Thank you, yelpers. You yelped me whether you wanted to or not. I walked into the shop not really knowing what to expect but was approached immediately by a young energetic lady who asked if she could help. I had pretty particular needs but as a complete beginner, it was obvious I had no idea what I was doing. That did not deter her, however, and she essentially talked me through what my options were. After about an hour chatting, she zeroed in on what she believes would be the best bike for me based on my needs. She even asked for another opinion by someone who she claimed was very knowledgeable about this particular bike. All in, together they spent about three hours with me before I finally left the shop with a bike purchase. I purchased several other items based on the recommendations and never once felt inadequate or looked down upon for my lack of experience or knowledge even considering I'm a middle-aged guy. They have some nice policies including discounts for 30 days after a bike purchase, free tuneups for life, free bike fit even for non-customers ( maybe I should not be revealing this secret worth about $250 per person,) and free adjustments when needed. They offer a 30 day tuneup with the purchase of the bike as well again at no additional charge. There were a couple of mistakes made and they even forgot about another bike I brought in to have repaired. I thought about knocking one star for that but everybody makes mistakes no matter where you go and I don't think five stars means perfection but I think it means the best in my opinion. They work really hard to take care of me as well as the other customers I saw in and out of the shop each time I was there and they are so incredibly friendly that it's difficult to knock anything they do. I would say the only real drawback is the limited stock and small shop but it certainly hasn't stopped me and I'm already thinking about my next bike and without hesitation will visit them. All in all, it's been a very personal experience and each time I go in to pick up a few other items, my bike, or ordered items, Michael greets me like a friend rather than a customer. I was also greeted by one of the mechanics in an incredibly friendly manner and he answered some questions that I probably should have already known the answers to without making me feel like an idiot. On my second or third visit, I briefly encountered the owner, Paul, who is actually working along side the mechanics on a bike. I was actually impressed by that. He, too, was very friendly. Everybody there seems to be a very active rider in one way or another. There is even good information about the staff on the website including the bikes they own and what type of writing they do. Some friends who are knowledgeable riders have spoken highly of the shop. If someone wanted to nitpick, one could find things that are not perfect but all in all, they have an incredibly large catalog that is available to us, very friendly service, and it seems they know what they're talking about... At least it feels that way to me. And I absolutely love my Surly! ------UPDATE 07-OCT-2015-------- For the most part, the experience gets better. There have been a few hiccups but they continue to spend incredible amounts of time with me in advise *after* purchase which, for me, is really the differentiator - it makes a good shop great. I could go on and on about Gaby who has really put me at ease with my questions and helping me get started. She regularly invites me back so someone at the shop can help me refine my riding or the fit or....you just can't put a price on this. Paul, the owner, has also spent a bit of time with me offering his very clearly knowledgeable opinion about various products/brands/levels/experiences which has helped steer me. I have since purchased another bike from them (only 2 months later) and they continue to instill confidence that they will tweak it and me and guide me until I'm comfortable. They give me advise on clubs/trails/people, Gaby works to keep me motivated, etc, etc. There have even been an occasion or two where they advised me to purchase something online as it would be better for me (price/value.) I was impressed when I dropped off my bike for service that they took time to evaluate my bike right there and tell me up front what were the main issues and how much it would be. They work with you based on your needs and were professional and helpful and thorough. Although the shop building is small and plain, the people and the stock of merchandise is top-level. During a 1000km brevet last weekend one of our threesome had a minor crash with a car. The resulting damage fouled her bike's front derailleur. The backlogged mechanics stopped their work and fixed her bike. This made the next 505 miles possible. The shop is crammed with a wide selection of bikes, parts and accessories. The four(!) employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. They helped commuters, racers, students and randonneurs all in the span of an hour we were there. These folks are doing something right. Their reputation must be very good locally because they had a floor full of bikes waiting to be fixed, and a thick stack of work orders. I recommend Bikes & More. read more
