I needed valve caps for the wheels of my electric bike, as one was broken and the other was missing. There was one person finishing up a transaction, and before it was even over, one of the two workers asked how he could help me. I also needed a water bottle cage with my valve caps. As I stepped to pay, he informed me that they were FREE!! I know it just a little piece of plastic, but it always feels good to get free stuff! Went to Goodbike for a part + attachment for my pretty old bike. That went well, quick and easy. Then they filled up my tires, without asking me first if I'd like the service, and charged me for it. If they had asked, I would've told them I had a pump at home, and am perfectly capable of using it. Obviously it was a relatively minor infarction ($10-$15), but I'm a 21 yo woman, already fairly apprehensive of going to a repair shop on my own. I was let down. Not sure what bike repair etiquette is, but performing a service without asking the customer and then charging them for it seems pretty inappropriate to me, no matter the SOP. My bike is fixed though, so that's nice. read more

Today I went to Goodbike for the second time ever, officially making me a patron of the bikes! As I was biking my usual 30 minute commute in the morning, I noticed my seat felt funky. Then I realized: it was way too low! I knew I had an Allan wrench at home to adjust the seat, but the opportunity to go to Goodbike was just too good to pass up. They adjusted my seat super quick and gave me some handy pointers. All the guys working at Goodbike give great bike tips and are very knowledgeable about bikes. I first came to them a few weeks ago after I had assembled my electric bike from a Bike Flights packing Job. I assembled it myself no problem, but I noticed the gear shifting was a little off, and it needed a little tuning up. Sure enough, they told me my derailer was out of place and they fixed her up in a jiffy! I am so grateful to Goodbikes and the good staff for their expertise. read more

We've been using our bikes more lately--which means more bike problems. We'd been going to another bike shop, but they've had to reduce their hours and have less stock because of how busy they've been. So, when we got another flat, we decided to try out somewhere new. We picked Goodbike because it's close to the house and had a handful of great reviews on Yelp. We were not disappointed! For $15 flat and 15 minutes of my time, the friendly staff were able to fix my flat tire. They even unloaded and loaded the bike into the truck for me. The place is in a great location. It's on NW 10th Ave and right off a trail that connects all the way to Hawthorne Trail. Cypress and Grove Brewery is right next door. The parking lot is a decent size. As a tip, they do not accept American Express, but they do take other cards. My tire looks as good as new, and I'm looking forward to more adventures with it, thanks to Goodbike. This place is amazing. I brought them an electric bicycle where the breaks were completely worn down. They had all the parts and made the repair affordably. Also, they noticed there was a grinding issue on the rear tire and they fixed that too for next to nothing. The other bike shop I purchased the bike from had looked at it when I complained about the grinding noise, but they didn't figure it out and kept saying the bike was fine. I didn't have to tell Goodbike- they figured it out immediately. That's what I want in a bike shop- good service, expertise, friendliness, affordable pricing. Plus its on the bike trail that connects to all the paved bike trails in town and next to Cypress & Grove Brewery. I noticed today they sell delicious beer and have a patio at Goodbike too. Highly recommend this place for bike repairs. It looks like a good place to test and buy a new bicycle as well. read more

I've had a bike assembled and have had multiple tune ups performed quickly (within 24 hours, sometimes within a day) and deftly. The guys are always kind and conversational. So kind! They are! They've looked at some kid-things like a 1950's red wagon with a weird tire situation. They took 15 minutes on it, all the different bike mechanics and it couldn't be remedied-- and they didn't even charge me! I've gone to them since as long as I can remember. It was as soon as I discovered them, maybe in the 2000s. And they do not overcharge like so many of the other bike shops in town. I just can't say enough about them, and this is probably the only review I'm going to write all year for anybody, anywhere. Goodbike deserves it, in spades. read more

The guys at GOOD BIKE are great!!; they can do anything relating to bikes--and do it well. They assembled an e-bike for me, assembled a car hitch carrier for it, put a carrier and computer on the bike and then modified a seat stem for another bike. They finished all of this sooner than predicted and at a remarkably low cost! I dealt with four different employees in my two different trips to the shop(the car rack arrived after the bike) and I found all of the employees to be very knowledgeable and extremely courteous. I not usually leave feedback, I just never return. My son and I dropped off his bike before school started and I found GB by chance.. That said GB is a gem. This outfit loves what they do, knows what they are doing, and they don't mind explaining in detail what they are doing for what turns out to be a reasonable fee. I had my bike seat stolen and I was pretty annoyed. I ended up buying a new bike seat online and needed a suspension post because they stole that too. I brought the seat in with my bike, and within 10 minutes I was able to ride my bike out of the shop. They gave me a used suspension post and installed it super fast, and it was only $10!
