We bought a massive used Solitude DL391. We know nothing about RV'ing and so we were really green during our walkthrough. Almost every single aspect of the sale went well. We had to fight hard to get what we wanted but for the most part we left satisfied. During the walkthrough we knew nothing about the lights and the graphs and the meters showing what was on, what was running and what the current levels were. We initially saw the RV a month before we bought it. There was damage on it after our initial viewing so they needed another 2 weeks to repair it. I am not sure how long they had it before we first looked at it but we didn't pick it up for at least 6 weeks after we first saw it and loved it. With all that being said, we found out after we brought it home and learned a lil about the thing that those graphs on the wall. Those were the levels in the tanks. The black tank was FULL. 53 gallons full. Full with someone else's feces in it and for how long? At least 6 weeks since we had first seen the thing. Then there was the gray tank. That's where the shower and sinks drain. It was 2/3rds full. At least 40 gallons. Not as gross as the tank full of someone else's crap but shouldn't have been 2/3rd's full. Then there's the fresh tank. It was 2/3rds full of around 60 gallons of stagnant water that had been sitting in there for who knows how long. After I bought all the equipment and gained all the knowledge I spent 4 hours today flushing these tanks out and their vile content. I have to do a siphon treatment to feed some bleach mixture into the fresh water tank so that I can kill any bacteria that grew in there. I will go to a dump station. Fill it with water and bleach. Park it back at storage and then 12 hours later go back to the dump station so I can get all the germs and stuff out. I will run the faucets to get my bleach solution into the gray tank and then dump the gray tank and the fresh water tank to empty so I know all the bacteria is gone. We truly don't understand who would sell an RV and not clean it out. They said they inspected it? Really? How well if you missed the tanks. My review would have been 5 stars but it's hard to get past someone else's crap in my newly purchased used RV. read more

Service Department in Ocala is a nightmare. Paid for service and get back the unit not working properly. Apparently starting a week ago anytime service is needed it has to be done Mon-Fri. They now do not have service on weekends at anytime even to fix their negligence. People buying these Rv's are not all retired and it is very disconcerning and inconvenient to have to take a day off from work, especially for them to fix what should have been done in the firstplace. No service quality and no customer loyalty. Once they get your money - you are immediately history. BUYER BEWARE!! " Optimum RV where we turn your camping dreams into a nightmare." We purchased a 2008 40' Class A Motorhome from Optimum RV in March of 2026. The process was grueling, time consuming and very frustrating. With the exception of two salesman, one whom continues to this day to maintain his integrity, NO ONE demonstrated proper, honest and timely communication including: management, finance, service, and tag/title. There was no warning posted in this unit we were interested in and test drove, that disclosed the defective 4 in 1 airbrake gauge, a critical part of the braking system. Even during the negotiations they still didn't disclose this crucial information, that we found out Service knew about at the time it was traded back in. Instead the "closer" PUSHED the sale, PUSHED the contract and collected our deposit still without disclosing this very important information. We finally received a call on the way to our first "take delivery" appointment that there was an important part that was needed but would take 6-8 weeks to arrive, a huge inconvenience to us and the first indication of their deceptive practices. It's a very long story here, but WE actually found the part needed and had it delivered to them within the week. An hour out from our second "take delivery" appointment we received a call from financing confirming we were bringing a cashiers check with the final amount, an amount that was even unbeknownst to him at that time, another questionable practice. We purchased their $3500 "Camp Ready" process that DOES NOT include a thorough safety check; you are on your own for batteries, fluids, tires, brakes, stabilizer bars/bushings and other chassis components. WE had to do the safety inspection and then we had to fight for/negotiate for some very necessary repairs. The "Camp Ready" process only includes: working appliances, heating/AC, plumbing, roof inspection (not necessarily proper repairs), lighting, and full indoor/outdoor cleaning. It also includes a thorough, very lengthy walk through, however for us being brand new to the RV world, we were paired with a wonderful man, that admitted he was a trailer guy and didn't have the knowledge needed for a proper walk through, which left us asking the questions in the brief walk-through and then learning everything on the fly. Eventually, we arrived at our third, very disappointing and anti-climactic "take delivery" appointment. We jumped through all their very drawn out final hoops, and waited for a lengthy amount of time in the parking lot for our temporary tag, which WE ultimately had to hunt down and attach ourselves. Finally, we had negotiated in the contractual meetings for Optimum RV to register our motorhome in our home state of NY. A month went by and we had to contact them for another set of temporary plates, as we hadn't received the permanent ones, nor any update as to where they were at with them. Yet, another month went by with still no communication from the title/tag department and no returns of our many calls. We finally reached someone we were told was a supervisor, that informed us after two months that they don't do out of state registrations; when we insisted it was in the contract which they agreed to at that time, she replied that we needed to send them another $200. Two days before our temporary plates were expired for the third time, we received a Fed Ex package in the mail which included the FL title, a check reimbursement for tag/title and other paperwork needed for a DIY NY registration. No letter of apology or any sort of communication was included. We find it very suspicious, as Daytona Dodge in a timely, professional manner had no issues registering our Jeep in NY state. All this said, if we hadn't found everything we were looking for in this very first motorhome purchase, we would have RUN after the first, very deceptive action. We have completed many repairs since purchase, but absolutely love our new motorhome. However, we will NOT be returning to Optimum RV for any further purchases and we strongly advise you to NOT patronize this very shady and deceptive dealer. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! If I could give Optimum RV a negative number I certainly would. Suffice it to say that our RV unit has been with them for OVER ONE YEAR now... We have paid them $4964.44 in payments (including an extended warrantee they recommended) and still the work on the unit has not been completed. We took it to them in Sept 2024... In August 2025 we were told all had FINALLY been completed. When we went to check it out - nothing we could see had been completed and the had torn up the counter area around the sink. We paid for all new window closure units - none were replaced. We paid for the fridge to be repaired - part of which was submitted on a warrantee claim. Not working. The unit was covered in mud so obviously had been keep outside in a non-covered area for the past year. And yes, you read that right - it's been over a year in their system. To make matters worse... One of their employees called us to "resolve the issues". Come to find out that the main reason for his call was to get us to pay for an undercarriage spray job for an additional $700. Run for your life ! Old style used car sales style. Fast talking low life individuals who are tasked with moving merchandise. I bought used, my mistake, nothing on the lot is checked for damage. The floor of my 19ft trailer had water damage. I spent months replacing it. Also the " financial scam officer" snuck in additional "protection charges. I was given a firm out-the-door price via text message from my salesperson on a 2025 Ember E-Series 22ETS. Based on that agreed price, I drove two hours to the dealership to close the deal. Upon arrival, they collected my ID and credit application. They then came back with a price nearly $6,000 higher than the number we agreed to in writing. When I confronted them, the sales manager stated the original price required a deposit for corporate approval, but that condition was never communicated before I made the trip. My salesperson responded to my offer to come in and close by asking what time worked -- not by saying the price was conditional. I have the full text message history documenting the agreed price. Honestly, I went in kind of skeptical after reading some reviews online, but after finding out the place is under new management, that totally made sense -- and I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Their inventory is massive -- acres of RVs in every size and style you can imagine. Everything was clean, organized, and well-kept. The front desk was decked out with Halloween decorations, which gave it such a fun, welcoming vibe right from the start. The staff were awesome across the board. Chase helped us out, and he was genuinely great -- friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. You could tell he actually believes in what he's doing. There was zero pressure, and he knew his stuff inside and out. It's clear they hold their team to a high standard when it comes to professionalism and product knowledge. The receptionist was really sweet and offered us drinks and snacks. There was a little play area off to the right with a cartoon on for the kids, which made it easy to focus on the paperwork without worrying. The GM was honestly the one who sealed the deal for us. He came by to check in, listened to our questions, and reassured us that we'd be taken care of -- and you could tell he meant it. He was professional, down-to-earth, and just really good with people. You can tell he runs a tight ship. (Also... not bad to look at, just saying ). They offered in-house financing, which we didn't need, but it's nice knowing they're established and solid enough to do that. We had a really great experience with the dealership, especially considering it's pretty large. When we've worked with larger dealerships before and struggled to get financing for our dream RV due to being self-employed, they would give up on us as soon as there was a little bit of resistance from the bank. However, that was not the case here. They worked with their banks while we worked with ours, and even though they could've made more money if we went with their bank, we were able to get such a great interest rate with ours that they were more than happy for us to do that and encouraged it. Travis stayed in touch with us constantly through the process, letting us know what was happening. He was able to work with us on timing and when we'd be able to get up there and even works hard with the maintenance crew for us to be able to get in in time to pick it up for Mother's Day weekend. When we got to the dealership, the receptionist was so sweet with our daughter and gave her coloring pages and markers and let her sit and relax in the office. The drop off crew was efficient and helped us get the appraisal done quickly for our trade in. Travis walked between all the parties regularly to make sure that we are being taken care of and in the finance crew made signing the paperwork, simple and efficient. The walk-through crew was just superb. Steven and Nikki answered all of our questions and even stayed to help us move things from our trade-in to our new RV even though we told them that it was OK if they didn't. All I can say is that our experience was completely different than what other others have said they had. Good amount of RVs both new and used. We had a pleasant experience with the salesman. However, what we disliked about the experience is that at the conclusion of the walk through on many many RVs, they present you with a up sell sheet. This sheet covers service they provide for $$$$ that will provide inspection of your RV for any defects. I thought when you buy new, the dealer makes sure everything is working. Not the case here. They want to charge for the inspection. Get rid of this added charge and provide this inspection as part of the benefit of buying a RV for you. read more

Bad experience... I was trying to get ahold of a sales person for an RV I saw online that was a good price. They never called back. After days I got a hold of a manager and they told me the sales guy would be working the next day when I planned on going over there to see it. When I arrived the sales guy was off that day, apparently the manager didn't know this. Then I was told the reason the RV was cheaper because it was a fixer upper. EDIT to keep you updated: We took delivery of our brand-new camper on 2/7/26. It is 2/19/26 and we are being ignored by anyone we try to reach at Optimum RV to resolve the plethora of issues we are experiencing with our brand-new fifth wheel. We have called daily to try and reach resolution and either get a voicemail that is full or have to leave a message with someone. We have yet to receive a response from anyone that can actually help. The list of things wrong with our camper, including all the items previously listed below, include a slide out that is inoperable, and a broken pipe behind the living room fireplace wall that has sprayed water all over the interior of the wall. This is a brand-new camper. Rather than try to make things right, we are being ignored. The reason, we were told, is because they already took a loss on the sale to us. I cannot say this enough: RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! This place is unbelievably terrible in every way. Edit to add more: once I got home with my brand-new camper, we discovered that the batteries were completely dead and could not be recharged. We also discovered on the drive home that the trailer brakes were not functioning. I messaged my sales guy, Norm. I can see that he read my message, but I got no response. Shocking. We had a 1:00 PM pickup appointment, and from the start everything went downhill. The receptionist wouldn't give us any estimate on when the camper would actually be ready, so we went to lunch to kill time. When we returned, Jason asked if we wanted to take the camper "as is" -- not cleaned at all. That was extremely frustrating. We went shopping just to pass more time. When we came back, we waited hours before finally doing the walkthrough. During that walkthrough we discovered missing ladders and steps, plus a huge dent and scratch on the side of the brand new camper. They then had to scramble to find the parts we were missing. After checking out, they finally finished cleaning the camper. We hooked up and left -- 7 HOURS after our scheduled appointment. To make matters worse, about 25 feet down the road the spare tire holder fell off and dragged across the pavement. Completely unacceptable and dangerous. The workers themselves were great. There were two amazing employees helping customers and one woman cleaning campers nonstop. The real problem is management, who did absolutely nothing while their staff was overwhelmed. Worst buyin experience ever. Bought a 2019 5th wheel from them and had a list of items needing repaired. Toilet loose. Center jacks not working. Dryer not working. had the unit delivered 2 weeks later saying the jacks were fixed and items fixed. They also said they filled the propane tank tanks . 3:00 am the next morning the temperature in Ocala was 21 degrees and about 45 in the camper. Empty tanks. Tanks were not drained and the black tank had to be power washed. Now find out they tightened the toilet bolts too tight and broke the flange. I consigned my 2016 40 foot Dutch Star with this dealership for four months, and it was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. From the start, the service department was unresponsive. Phone calls and email were early returned. My coach was delivered in immaculate condition and required no service, yet I was repeatedly pressured to approve roof working other repairs that were unnecessary. It felt like an attempt to generate service charges rather than act in my best interest. At one point, I visited the dealership without identifying myself as the owner.I was taken to my own coach by a salesperson who knew nothing about its features, Inside, all lights were on and the air conditioner was running on high, and I was told the unit remained that way 24/7. The coach never sold instead, I received multiple lowball offers, all of which I declined. When the four month contract expired and I retrieved my RV, it was returned to me in worse condition than when I delivered it. There was broken wood trim, damaged seating and heavy dirt, requiring significant time and effort on my part to restore it. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. BUYER BEWARE: A $170,000 NIGHTMARE - DO NOT TRUST OPTIMUM RV OCALA We spent $170,000 on what was supposed to be our dream RV--a brand new 2025 Georgetown. What we got instead was a complete nightmare. Optimum RV in Ocala has shown us the worst side of the RV industry, and we feel obligated to warn other customers before they go through what we did. Here's the full scope of the horror show: 1. Rushed, Useless Walkthrough: We were rushed through the walkthrough like cattle. No real explanations, no time to ask questions, no effort to ensure we understood the features of our brand new rig. For such a massive investment, we expected professionalism. What we got was careless indifference. 2. Total Communication Breakdown: We were given pickup dates that changed constantly. No one returned calls, messages were ignored, and when we finally got someone on the line, we got vague excuses and no answers. It was like pulling teeth just to get basic information. 3. Incomplete Unit at Delivery: Not all parts were in when we arrived to pick up our RV. They handed it off anyway, promising they'd get everything completed later. Spoiler alert: they didn't. Empty promises, broken timelines, and zero accountability. 4. RV Inspection Was NOT Completed: This one is not only unprofessional--it's dangerous. We later learned that the full inspection had not been completed before they handed us the keys. We trusted them to ensure the unit was safe and ready for the road. They failed us completely. 5. We Left the Lot in an Unsafe Vehicle: We unknowingly drove off in a rig with underinflated tires. Let that sink in. We were handed the keys to a six-figure vehicle that hadn't even been properly checked for road safety. Had we gotten into an accident, it could've been catastrophic. And Optimum RV would've been fully responsible. 6. Verbal Abuse from General Manager Randy: When we tried to get answers and express our concerns, GM Randy was downright hostile. He spoke to us like we were beneath him--aggressive, rude, and disrespectful. Zero professionalism, zero empathy, zero care. He is a disgrace to the role he holds. 7. Service Lied and Committed Warranty Fraud: We were told that service work had been completed--only to discover nothing had been done. Yet, they billed the warranty company anyway. That's not just bad service; that's fraud. We have documentation and are in the process of reporting this. 8. Phones Disconnected Due to Volume of Complaints: We were informed that their phones had been disconnected at one point because of too many customer complaints. That should say everything you need to know about how they run their business. 9. Once They Had Our Money, They Disappeared: As soon as they secured our $170,000, they disappeared. No follow-through, no resolution, and absolutely no concern for our well-being or satisfaction. It was a hit-and-run sale--get the money and forget the customer. In summary: Do not buy from Optimum RV Ocala unless you enjoy being lied to, ignored, disrespected, and placed in potentially dangerous situations. Although the people were polite, they were very dishonest about the prices on the rvs and campers. It is safe to say if I was interested in a camper I could double the price that was listed and that's what I would end up paying. We gave them hours to speak to their offices to figure out what deals they could give us and ended up adding 4,000 more onto the price of the camper, because they feel as though they "overpaid" yet each camper I was interested in would double in price if I was ready to sign and buy it. This is the first time I have written a negative post about a business, but they have left me no choice. People need to be aware of a businesses like this. Go somewhere, but more importantly anywhere else. Horrible customer service and deceptive practices from the financial and vehicle prep side of the business. We flew down to Florida and they clearly knew we were coming, yet it still took 4.5 hours to get out of the place. When we got home we called and emailed requesting additional information on our warranty, you guessed, no response after multiple attempts. The biggest issue, the product isn't what it was represented to be. I am in the process of filing formal complaints with the State of Florida and any other agency that I can identify. We had mechanical issue right out of the gate and pretty much the entire trip back home. I did have an ok experience with the master mechanic as he had to walk me through the issues and a process that they should've handle but didn't address. They made sure they charged us for it though. Our salesperson was a nice guy that came across as someone that was really trying to do the right thing. He should go to work elsewhere that allows him to succeed and not be collateral damage because other people can't manage to do their jobs. Unfortunately, I got comfortable with the salesperson. Personal life lesson for me and confirmation that finance managers are horrible until proven otherwise. Again, stay away from this dealership and you'll be better for it. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Optimum RV is extremely misleading in how they run their consignment program. They told me they "make their money on the backend," but the truth is the moment you hand your RV over, they raise the agreed-upon sale price so they "have room to negotiate." They also pressured me to lower my asking price while simultaneously inflating the listing price--a total bait-and-switch tactic. Expect to waste hours at the dealership. They won't be prepared for your drop-off, and when you go to pick up your RV after it doesn't sell, it won't be ready either. Mine was filthy, the batteries were dead because they never plugged it in, and it was clear they didn't care for it at all. They did a drop-off inspection, pointed out things that needed repair, and agreed to work with my extended warranty company. Ninety days later, nothing had been done--no repairs, no follow-up, no nothing. This company does not operate with honesty or professionalism. They don't care about your RV, your time, or keeping their word. DO NOT use Optimum RV for consignment--or anything else. read more

Don't, Just Don't. Don't call there, Don't go there. Don't look at the Website. Don't even drive by there. Don't say their name three times in a row. Don't even think about buying an RV there or having your RV serviced there. Evil lurks within the confines of the property. All who work there, with the exception of the last person I talked to, Tiffany, are folks who could absolutely care less about you. They are not capable of uttering a truthful word. Do yourself a favor. If you really must have an RV, go to General RV. While the list of names is long, the emails are long, the minutes spent on the phone with them is long, I am not going into detail with names, issues, dates, lies spoken might be interesting to you, trust me when I say its not worth it. the entire sales and resulting service experience was atrocious. DO NOT let them charge you $995 for a "pre-inspection" as ours was a power wash on the day of the sale. They kept falling all over themselves and never made one thing right. STAY AWAY. read more

Avoid Optimum RV. I thought I found my perfect motorhome. it was supposed to be serviced, with new awning fabric, new batteries and 8n top shape. I looked at it and put down $5000 deposit. when I went back to test drive it; it would not start. they had to jump start it. the generator would not start. second visit they told me the gas was low so it would not start. how could I test drive it with no gas? there was a bracket underneath that barely cleared the street (maybe 5 inches.) we suggested they put larger tire on it to correct that problem but "it was normal" they said. I walked away in late July and I still do. not have my $5000 deposit back. although they did put larger tires on. it and sold it to someone else. they want your money and nothing else. service guys looked under the influence. read more

Update: they are refusing to pay damages. DO NOT CONSIDER consigning or buying it will be your worst mistake. Optimum was going to sell our unit for us. We were supposed to get a detailed report on our RV and we never did. After Helene we tried to contact them to see if our RV sustained any damages from the storm. Crickets. We then said we were don't and coming to get our RV early to try another dealership due to lack of communication and holding up their end of the deal. When my husband arrived he found that the flooring had been damaged when a salesman had thrown the stair pin on the floor and closed the slide in on it. UPDATE 11/13/24: The general manager is refusing to pay the damages stating it's part of the contract and that he was never made aware of the incident by the manager that checked us out that day. They are liars! I would give them a negative number if I could. I wasted almost all morning talking to Taylor Kittle about them buying my RV. He said he could help me with them buying it. Then after a lot of questions he tells me my only option is consignment!! Then he said he didn't lie. Well, evading telling the truth is the same as lying!
