Be very careful with this RV dealer. They absolutely took advantage of an elderly couple a few weeks ago. Sold them a trailer that they can't tow with their vehicle and then continued to lie about it. Sure.....the truck would TECHNICALLY tow it, but the pin weight dry was already overweight for the truck without any equipment, occupants, or fuel and water. This renders the vehicle absolutely overweight for the truck. This means if there is any sort of accident(Whether they hit, or are hit), they will automatically be liable and the insurance will not pay the claim. Once the concern was brought up, they said sorry about your luck. They also scammed them on the price and will not provide any signed paperwork. So....if you do business with salesmen like Ray that take advantage of elderly people, shame on you. A lawyer is going to have a field day with this one. read more

I sent my 5th wheel to Blue Compass RV in Alachua for a rear gate replacement, which cost over $10,000. After months of delays, the RV was finally returned, but we discovered the entry door window was broken. I contacted the store, and they said they'd call me back to discuss solutions. Three weeks passed with no response, despite my follow-up calls, and it felt like they were avoiding the issue. Eventually, Angela informed me they wouldn't pick up the RV to fix the window but would order a replacement part, leaving me to handle the installation. This was on May 6. On July 10, I got a message saying Jenna had ordered the window, but she was out that day and would provide an ETA later. I still haven't heard back. I'm at my wit's end. I paid for delivery and shouldn't be responsible for fixing their mistake, yet I agreed to move forward just to resolve it. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and progress is unacceptable. It was delivered in sad condition but early in morning had to transfer belongings from on RV to another. The RV was very unsatisfactory condition still had grease pencil on windows long story short I drove to my new residence and back to dealer ship where it has been for a year folks. We are doing a bucket list trip for my wife, she is terminally ill. The people at the dealership do not know that, they just know that we are traveling. We had a tire blow out on our 41 ft 5th wheel RV. It tore something up and we were concerned about going further without having it checked out. I called this morning and they told me to come in and ask for Jenna. I spoke with 2 gentlemen on the phone and they were very pleasant and helpful. When I arrived I met Jenna, she too was very pleasant and gave me my instructions. She and a technician, I'm embarrassed I didn't ask his name, came out, he checked my RV and gave it a clean bill of health!!! They didn't change me a penny, I spent less than an hour, and left with a new appreciation for Blue Compass RV and if I'm ever back this way again and in need of help, they will be my first call!!! Went to get service on my RV on 3/8/2021. I was shocked to learn the service manager had no interest in providing service. I got the feeling that I wasn't important enough for them to provide service. Had to leave and go to another shop to get service. This place was great when it was JD Sanders but it has been taken over by people who seem to have no interest in service. I also had an earlier experience in which I was unable to get parts service despite being the only customer in the store. The parts clerk was busy. I left after about 20 minutes. read more

USE CAUTION while dealing with their service department and especially if you are dealing with Jim Vaughn. If you are going to take the chance and let this company service your RV make sure you get upfront pricing on their diagnostic fees and the labor rate. I would ask to see a written estimate before any work is performed, which seems to be an issue for the Service Manager Kevin to do and the service writers to do. I completely understand that it takes time to diagnose issues. But what this company wants to do is overcharge you on the diagnosis and then double-dip you on the time to fix the problem. While waiting for my RV unit I witnessed many clients being told things that just didn't add up with common sense regarding their fees for repairs or diagnostic fees. Take note of when you show up and when they start to work or diagnose your concerns. Don't be afraid to question what they are telling you, and ask questions about the repair being done. There is no question in my mind that they will try and bully you, and also "Teamup" on you. Use CAUTION when dealing with Jim. In my opinion, he is not to be trusted. Kevin the service manager needs to be taught some leadership skills and how to keep his staff in check by treating clients correctly. My wife and I had issues with this RV ONE in the past. We were asked by Leaston the Store Manager to please give them another opportunity, I am sorry that we did. Jim Vaughn, in my opinion, should not be dealing with the public, and RV ONE should really look into some heavy-duty training for the service writers and also teach Kevin the service manager how to deal with employees like Jim Vaughn. As RV owners we all know how hard it is the find a place to work on our RVs, we also know how hard it is to find good people to do the work. It is the places like RV ONE here in Gainesville that make it so hard for us to trust. Again, use your gut feelings when you deal with this place, ask questions, and don't be bullied. Worst Service Department within the industry! DO NOT use this service department they will make you an appointment and then place you in a queue for repairs, why make an appointment??!! Our Coach a 2023 Rockwood Ultra Lite 8337RL was there since the middle of December 2022 my husband picked it up yesterday 2/10/2023 allegedly it was "ready" this was NOT the case!! Let me preface this long review by clearly stating that the issues are not with the Sales or the Finance Departments they are clearly with the Service Department....Period!!! My husband and I purchased a 2023 Rockwood 833RL Trailer Trailer on 9/30/2022. The coach arrived and we were contacted regarding our demo day appointment, the appointment was scheduled for 10/07/2022. We arrived and were told the coach had been detailed and was ready to go, this was NOT the case. The Coach was filthy on the inside and the outside. We were told to go through and make a punch list of items that needed repair or attention, we did and the list was lengthy (see attached). We were told to go grab some lunch and it would be ready to pull out in about an hour, AGAIN this was NOT the case. Which I expressed the disgust of the alleged caulking job around the shower (that was listed on the "punch" list) and told the service manager that a 5 year old could have done a better job things really went south, by 4:30 pm we were finally pulling out with our 70k camper from a 10 am demo appointment. Horrible experience on what should have been a happy day!!! I thought things couldn't get worse, but, they do after using the coach (1) ONE time we noticed that the heat in the larger living room wasn't working (kitchen/ living area) as well as the refrigerator making unusual noises and the vinyl flooring coming up in one corner of one of the slides and the solar panel not charging the battery. My husband made an appointment to take the coach back to have the issues taken care of, the appointment was 12/14/2022 on that date he took the coach back to RV One. After not hearing ANYTHING for 2 weeks my husband reached out to RV One's service department for an update, he was told that he was in the queue to be repaired. What was the need for an appointment if they aren't going to honor it?!!!! Keep reading because it gets much better....Apparently the service writer Jenna Conn has the authority to make decisions on what is repaired and what isn't. The flooring issues were not addressed and she told my husband they would not be. The husband picks the coach up 2/10/2023 and the battery is dead AGAIN the solar panel issue was also apparently not addressed. The service manager offered to "go get another battery" for my husband, another battery isn't going to fix a charging issue!! That is why it was in your service department sir!! I could go on and on with the issues that we had with the service dept but Google limits character space. So, to sum it up, if you buy from here your buying & financing experience will be a good one BUT if you need service or warranty repairs/issues GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! We have a 70k coach in our driveway that we have to hook up to the vehicle to be able to have power because the service department is incompetent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

The RV one in Alachua Fl has a terrible service department. Worst experience I've ever had. Wife and I bought a Keystone Hideout 272BH. It's our second rv, we've been rv ing for 20+ years. Took it out 1 time and it happened to be raining, noticed water coming in from window in bunk area. Cut the weekend short took rv home and put under carport. Called RVone to schedule appt. Took rv in and was told warranty approval could take 2-3 days. Explained what was wrong, asked if they could cover windows so no water would get in, had lots of weather the month of august in Fl. , a week later nothing no approval no return calls. So I drove in to speak with service. Manager Ken didn't even know my rv was there for repairs. It had not been dried in to prevent water intrusion and he had no time frame as to when it would be looked at. He also said they would not be covering the window to prevent more water getting in. I told him I would take my rv home and wait for warranty approval to bring back in. That way it would be under roof. Week 2 went by no call, I called to speak with General Manager, spoke with Him gave the rundown he assured me there should be no problem getting rv in and fixed. Week 3 got message from service that they hadn't forgotten about me but no appt to fix. Week 4 I call and get appt. for a month out October 21 but there's still no warranty approval they said they need photos. I said I'll take them and e mail to you will that work, yes was response. Send photos check a week later to see if warranty approval, no, send photos again show up for appt. and am told there's still no warranty approval. This is 1 and 1/2 months. Leave rv call back 9 days later. No approval to get work done yet. Service lady says it was sent to Manufacturers it's on them. I call Keystone the manufacturer they haven't heard from RVone. They keep my on the line and call RVone Alachua and she speaks with service and is told they sent for approval to RVone in Tampa. I call to speak with GM leaston law. He's not available in a meeting with service Dept. Next day Oct 2 I get text, from RVone service rep. Julian "we're going to fix your windows although we haven't yet got warranty approval, as a courtesy it's a one time deal". I called he's not available, I get text rv is done. I show up and look at windows to find clear sealant smeared all over window frame and it looked horrible. This is warranty repair of a new RV I asked to speak with Manager, leaston law came out looked at it and agreed, not right, said probably a new technician, I said but Julian is not new he says windows aren't even covered by warranty they are maintenance issue. I told him he had lost my business for ever, they did not even budge to make it right. Worst rv dealership ever, steer clear! read more

NOT RECOMMENDED!!! GO TO ANY OTHER RVOne LOCATION BUT THIS ONE. I wish we can speak highly about our experience at RVOne in Gainesville, unfortunately, we can't. For over three years, we were dreaming of purchasing a teardrop trailer, in July of this year, we finally went to RVOne in Gainesville to buy one. Everyone on the floor was nice, the receptionist had a face but once you spoke to her, she lightened up. Once there we sat down with the finance people while the service people gets our 2020 Outback and the teardrop ready to roll. I was happy to get a $100.00 gift card for their shopping center, it's usually only $30.00, I wasn't sure if Brad gave us the $100.00 gift card because I was a veteran or something else. By the time I went out to do the walk around, the service people stated I was required to purchase close to $300.00 worth of equipment and supplies, one is a remote braking attachment that applies the brakes for your Teardrop, A DEVICE THAT COST $249.99, A DEVICE THAT I REALLY DID NOT NEED (didn't know that until we got home). Obviously, they were trying to make their money back in regards to the gift card. WE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN A BETTER LOOK IN THE WALK AROUND. We were tired, it was the end of the day and we drove from Deland, FL. When we finally got the Free Solo OG home, we found a bunch of things wrong with the trailer, Solar connect was not connected correctly, right interior speaker cracking, the adapter for the water hose and sink was not compatible, scratch marks throughout the interior walls, rust stains, the Free Solo Sticker on the passenger side was place crooked. After discovering all this, on July 14, we called RVOne in Gainesville to see what we can do and maybe speak to someone in service. She placed me on hold for about a minute or two and came back to the phone and stated that everyone is busy at the moment and that if she could get my callback number so service can call me back, they never did. I called again and was placed on hold forever, I never got to speak to a service person. They make it very clear to you that they have no responsibility regarding the trailer once it rolls off their lot and if I needed to fix a defective item, I would have to go to the manufacture. What happen to the Quality Care Control Inspection or customer service? On July 18th 2022, we wrote to RVOne explaining our concerns and kindly ask to return the remote braking system and to have RVOne pay for the sink adapter I had to replaced which cost $58.14. We got no reply. We understand that these trailers are parked in Florida hot weather and things are bond to happen but this is a little too much to accept. We had planned to make the Free Solo part of us so yes I replaced all four speakers added LED's and making it more us. So we are not asking for the money we spent on the speakers, etc, we were just asking to be refunded the amount of money we spent on a defective item and for a device that I never needed in the first place. The seals had gone on my toilet and I was looking to either replace the seals or upgrade the loo. These guys were not only the cheapest verbal quote to change the loo, but when I had the toilet upgraded with them the final bill (including a new loo) was cheaper than others had quoted to replace the seals!!!! If there was a zero star option on here RV One in Alachua, FL has definitely earned it. I purchased a 2012 RV for my daughter in December 2020. We were told the RV had some right sided fender damage that was only cosmetic and a thorough 5-point inspection had been done throughout with no structural damage from a tire blow out. Almost one week prior to delivery we did a walk through with an RV One employee and made a punch list of any issues we saw that needed addressing including a light fixture covering replacement, broken water filter, and broken skylight in the bathroom. We also purchased an extended warranty due to the model being 9 years old. Following delivery, RV One was contacted via email on 3 separate occasions as well as 8 phone calls speaking with multiple people in their service department letting them know the issues on the punch list were never addressed and water damage and wood rot were found to the bed room slide out floor when removing the carpet. We have been told numerous times by RV One: We will see what we can do. Someone will get back in touch with you. I will need to speak with the general manager. The model camper is too old. (Then what was the purpose of the extended warranty?) It has been more than 30 days since delivery. (We made multiple contacts prior to the 30 days post delivery but RV One never called or emailed us back until afterwards.) On May 10th we went in person to speak directly with the RV One General Manager. He was informed we had a general contractor repairing the damage found in the bedroom slide out. He assured us the items on the punch list would be replaced and asked to bring in the bill for repairs and he would see what they could do. May 22nd a bill for repairs was emailed to the RV One GM. He called my daughter (these people never put anything in writing) stating: The RV was too old. (That is why we purchased the extended warranty.) Your warranty was cancelled. (Really? By whom? And where is my refund?) We signed a waiver for cosmetic damage and the slide out was cosmetic damage. (Damage on the OTHER side of the RV not a rotten slide out floor. Water damage is NOT cosmetic.) These people are despicable reprobates. I have never had such awful customer service in my entire life. After 5 months of this I honestly believe their company training must include how to screw over their customers and have no accountability or integrity after the sale of the product. I really wish I had read reviews before buying here and have already contacted our attorney. read more

My friend and I were in Gainesville for a 4H event with our kids. Decided to check some of the local inventory as my friend is in the market for a RV. We had a new salesperson who was pretty green but friendly enough. After looking at a few options my friend asked to test drive one of the RVs. This was especially important as the entire reason he is in the market is because his wife had motion sickness with their previous class C. They are hopeful that a class A will not produce the motion sickness. The salesperson made sure to mention several time that there was virtually no wiggle room on price (ok, whatever), but when we asked to test drive he said we had to agree on numbers first. I was confused, if there truly was no wiggle room, what was there to discuss? Either way he began listing reasons the company did not want people to test drive the RVs...didn't want to put miles on them, liability from an accident, people "joy ride" in them etc. it was truly laughable. At the end of the day we elected not to move forward with agreeing to figures in order to justify a test drive. The shame of it is that my buddy is a qualified buyer sincerely in the market. They missed an opportunity. The manager who came out was the least friendly sales managers I've encountered in some time. Hopefully we just caught them on a bad day. We purchased a brand new Sunseeker motorhome on July 3, 2020. They rushed us through the walk-through and check out. When we took it out the first time, we couldn't fill the water tank because it had not been prepared properly. Then, we found out that our refrigerator didn't work. It took lots of phone calls and over six weeks for them to acknowledge that it needed a new refrigerator. They ordered the refrigerator in August. I never get a return call from service unless I went to the manager. It is now the end of January 2021 and we still have not gotten our new refrigerator. I'm sorry to say that I cannot recommend RV one to any one. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. We bought our first camper here and had some problems with the slide out. After bringing it in to the service department 3 times for a total of almost 6 months. And them never fixing the problem we decided to go elsewhere and trade that camper in and buy a new one. When we bought the 1st camper we had purchased an extended warranty through RV One which they never honored to fix the slide. Which is why we decided to rid ourselves of that camper and headache to get a new elsewhere. Well now it has been 2 months since I have purchased the new camper and am needing the extended warranty cancelled so that I can get a prorated refund for what I originally paid out of my pocket. I have called RV One every week for the last 2 months and left messages for the general manager and the finance manger and have not received any return phone calls. I have gone to RV One in person a couple times and they have conveniently been in meetings. I have waited and apparently their meetings last ALLDAY. I have reached out to the Better Business Bureau, the warranty company and other RV One stores and still can not get a return call or my money back. They are horrible people that work here and the will steal from their customers. Run as far as you can from this place. In the mean time I will be continuing to fight to get the money back that they are currently stealing from my family. read more

This JD Sanders RV place has "Good O'l fashion service" The staff has helped me with my recently purchased Class A '93 Fleetwood Bounder. They have given me excellent advise. The people at JD Sanders are friendly and take time to personally understand the customer and persoanlly assist their RV needs. They will walk with you to the asile and help select the part needed or look at the coach and see what part is correct. If some problem is out of their league, they'll recommend you to a specialist that can serve the need. I'm definately a loyal customer now. These guys have my business. Our Airstream developed a water leak in the fresh water system while on the road. We made an appointment with JD Sanders based on the good reviews we found on the AirForums. We were not disappointed. What we thought was a simple problem was not. The fresh water tank itself had to be replaced, as well as the pipe repair we knew about. The service folks were great about showing us the problem and answering all our questions. The only hold up on the work was getting Airstream to ship the new tank. Once that arrived, they worked quickly to get us back on the road. Repair was done right and at a reasonable price. We really appreciate all their efforts to make sure we didn't miss our family reunion! read more

I met one of the salesmen at the RV show in Jacksonville this past Feb 11th. There was an airstream we were definitely interested in. It had a sale price of $81,000 and were told by Marvin he could do better if we went to visit him. We drove two hours (100 Miles) and were ready to negotiate a purchase. Unfortunately Marvin was not a man of his word. We were very aggravated at the fact we wasted our time dealing with JD Sanders RV as Marvin lied about "he could do better". There was no "better" on the table. As if the deception wasn't damaging enough, because their camper was on sale, they were only going to credit our trade in at just barely over half of its value.
