The incomparable Audrey at work :)
    Kiona V.

This new facility is so clean, bright, and airy. Melissa, Bo, and Audrey are the sweetest and most amazing human beings. They work tirelessly, pouring so much love and thought into running this operation to create a warm and welcoming environment not just for the buns, but for bunny owners and volunteers as well. My two babies get groomed here every few months by Audrey, who drives from Orange County to Long Beach every week to help out. She's so gentle, with a magical touch that calms even the most fretful soul. Grooming is donation-based, which is practically unheard of. It truly reflects Sunshine Rabbit Center's core value of putting the health and well-being of bunnies first. I'm incredibly grateful to have this center as a resource and would absolutely recommend it as the first stop for anyone new to the bunny world.

When Rabbit Rescue closed, I was admittedly a bit heartbroken and lost. I had adopted from them previously, and boarded with them. Then entered Rabbit Cares - even closer to me! I was invited to their soft-opening while they set up, and to explore their settings and services. A few majorly notable things: -THERE'S AC!!! -They sell bags of hay that is better in quality, and better cost-wise than store bought (Timothy, Oat, and a blend of I can't remember but my lil agents go wild for it). -They have a pro there to thoroughly brush, comb, trim, clip, etc your fur babies. -There's room for bunno activities! -There's a shop with oxbow food, and treats, they're working on other top tier brands, they have snuffle mats, bunno safe chewies, and even cute jewelry for the parents. -There is an elevator to the building. -It's located near the freeway, and next to a major bus line. I'm excited to have Rabbit Cares in Long Beach and in Bixby Knolls at that! I look forward to seeing who all they rescue, and adopt out. Mulder and Scully look forward to boarding whenever their mom and dad inevitably leave on vacation.

My three rabbits being professionally bonded (by Rabbit Rescue Inc, their previous name)

Sunshine Rabbits is absolutely the best. I trust them (and their previous group RabbitRescue Inc) completely with my three rabbits. Bonding: They helped bond my little guy with a friend and later into a trio! They made the bonding process worry-free and seamless. Susie is their expert in bonding and truly has a magic touch. Boarding: I have boarded with them once before for three weeks and it was such a relief to know that they were in such competent and caring hands. I have already booked several more boardings coming up! I think their prices are very reasonable! Grooming: We went to one of their free grooming events today and it was so smooth and easy. They are so good at handling the buns and making them feel comfortable. Ill be back! Store: They sell so many popular rabbit products from the GOOD companies (Oxbow, Sherwood, etc) and none of the crap you find in big box pet stores. Their hay is so much cheaper than places like SmallPetSelect. I just got an 8lb bag of first cut Timothy for $14! Fostering: I was a foster for a rabbit, which Melissa made a very easy process and led to us falling in love and adopting our third rabbit. They set us up with the tools and support we needed along with advice and problem solving when the foster was being destructive. Community: The employees welcome everyone and are so eager to help! Over time they have gotten to know me and my buns!

We got our bunny Esther here and it was the most amazing experience ever. Every time we come in the vibes are amazing with amazing people running events and the center itself. Fast forward almost 4 months later, we brought our bunny into the center for a nail trim. Audrey was great and got it done super quick. I love it here!!

I did the Veg with Bunnies for $15. You get to set with bunnies and choose which one you want and you can hang out with different ones within an hour. The staff were really nice. It's calm and kind energy in there. I highly recommend.

This was a surprise gift for my bestie, and we had a great time! The bunnies were chill and let us pet them. We were in two separate cages, each with our own bunny, and they came by to see if we wanted to meet new bunnies about halfway through. Staff came by several times to check to see that everything was fine and brought us treats to give the bunnies too. Shout out to Bear, Esther, and Mitty our bunny friends! It was only $20 per person per hour and this is a fun thing to do in Long Beach if you want a relaxing hour chilling with big bunnies!

I wholeheartedly recommend this place a hundred million times! I've been going there since my bunny was just six weeks old, and now he's turning nine this year. The people here are incredibly caring and trustworthy. I have as much faith in them as I do in my rabbit's veterinarian. They possess a wealth of knowledge. I pamper my rabbit and take great care of him. Whenever I have a question or concern about Lilo, they are always available for me, no matter the time or day!

It is with such a sad heart I write this review because I've been going to Sunshine Rabbit's team when they were over at Rabbit Rescue. We've been getting them groomed with the team and had even boarded with them two times before -- we have been super trustful of them. Once Rabbit Rescue was closed we were devastated and were again happy to see familiar faces at Sunshine Rabbit. My husband and I were going on vacation and decided to board our bunnies with them. Long story short on the 12th day I received a call that our fury bunny had so many knots and mats under her chin to the point that when scratching with her hind foot, her foot got stuck in the pocket of knots and got dislocated. We were told she was getting around just fine and was acting normal, but that it was something that we should schedule a vet visit for. When we picked her up they showed us the dislocated foot and again reassured us she had been getting around just fine and they mentioned another staff member had also seen her scratch her chin and noticed her foot got stuck. Keep in mind our bunnies our free roam bunnies and we have never ever observed that. Once we got home and put her down we saw the sad reality -- she was not getting around just fine like they had told us. Our little girl was in obvious discomfort and limping around. From Thursday until Sunday we we able to get an appointment with a vet and this is where I just lost complete trust in the staff. Upon review of the X-Ray our vet told us her foot was completely fractured into many small pieces and that it was "highly unlikely she did that to herself." Our vet said it was broken in so many pieces to the point that corrective surgery was not a possibility. The vet had our bunny sent home in splints and said if the bones do not fuse together that we will have to have her leg amputated. I read a review from Rabbit Rescue of a person also indicating their bunny was injured while boarding and that the team shifted the blame on the owner. What really happened to our bunny we will never know, but the fact that our vet reassured us that it was not something that she could've done herself/the lack of transparency to not tell us she was in obvious pain/discomfort has left us distrustful of the place. I would only recommend people to go if they are planning to adopt or buy products...perhaps grooming but do not board with them.

Ms. Audrey always does a wonderful job with our rabbit grooming. We have two senior bunnies. Our male was bonded to our female and adopted as a senior. He gets very scared with nail trims and gland cleaning. Audrey is great with both bunnies, but especially our nervous boy. She also gives us great advice to keep our bunnies happy and healthy. We'd be lost without Sunshine Rabbit Center!

    Entrance to Sunshine Rabbit Rescue!

As a former Rabbit Rescue client, I was ecstatic when I saw Sunshine Rabbit Center open up! I have boarded at rabbit rescue where Melissa, one of the owners here, has been so good to my rabbit Bucky! I will be boarding at Sunshine Rabbit Center in the future and excited to do so! There's so much room for the buns, there's a washer and dryer on property which is nice to see and excellent a/c for the hotter days! I've spoken to Melissa and Bo and they are the sweetest, most genuine people, and they're SO helpful and PATIENT! It feels like they truly just want the best for you and your bun! Bucky absolutely loves the fresh hay sold here and I also stock up on his favorite pellets here I'm excited to see the rabbit community grow!

My bun was immediately happy exploring all the hideys in the pen.

I booked boarding for my 3.5yo Bun at Sunshine this past weekend. He looked so relaxed when I went to pick him up I just know he was well cared for. I had to pick him up a day later and they were very accommodating. The cost to board is also VERY reasonable. So glad we have a great bunny center near the South Bay!

    Store area with hay offering

Sunshine Rabbit Center had everything I needed for my buns -- especially fresh hays at a reasonable price. They've also got most of the relevant Oxbow products you would want, some of which are pretty hard to find locally in a pet store. There's also a pretty good selection of treats, toys, carriers, hides, etc. They had volunteers helping socialize some rescues while I was there too, which was super cute.

Sunshine rabbit center is the best place to leave your fur baby while on vacation. They have the most experienced, knowledgeable and compassionate staff that can be entrusted with your fur baby's care. Recently our fur baby's health has been declining due to age. Sylvester takes daily dietary tablets to supplement his diet and since he is now having trouble grooming himself we also have to check his bottom every now and then in order to assess if we need to wash him. This is done to avoid a potential urinary infection. In addition, the week before our scheduled vacation to overseas, Sylvester was diagnosed with spinal arthritis which required a series of vaccinations every four days to help lubricate his joints. Sunshine rabbit center was so wonderful and able to accommodate and attend to all our fur baby's needs as mentioned above during our vacation. They also sent me messages and pictures to update me on his well-being. I just can't thank them enough for the excellent work they do which gives me peace of mind. I highly recommend rabbit rescue center for boarding services. They are really the best in town.

I got belly rubs on demand, endless attention, playtime with new friends, and enough treats to make me question whether I should permanently relocate. Every time I walked in, the humans here knew my name and acted excited to see me -- which, as you can imagine, is exactly the level of celebrity treatment I deserve. The place was super clean, safe, and smelled surprisingly good for a building full of dogs making questionable life choices. My parents also loved getting updates and photos of me living my best life while they were away pretending to miss me. (Jasmine, Christina, Ericy, Iliana takes the best selfies of me!) By the time I got home, I was completely exhausted from all the fun, zoomies, and pampering from the staff. 10 out of 10 I would definitely board again and cannot wait until my next visit! I've now attempted to tour this facility twice during the hours listed on your website…read more The first time, I was turned away because it was a "holiday week." However, it was a Saturday, and the actual holiday was not until Monday. Wanting to avoid another wasted trip, I called this morning to confirm that tours were being conducted and nothing was needed like an appointment. The person I spoke with confirmed that tours were available between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., which matches the information posted on your website. When I arrived, I was informed that I could not go on a tour because the manager was not there and had to take a dog to the veterinarian. Apparently, no other staff member was able to conduct a tour. However, nowhere on the website does it state that tours are dependent on a specific individual being present or that only the manager is authorized to conduct them. Had that information been disclosed, I could have avoided making a second unnecessary trip. When I explained to the front desk employee that I had specifically called this morning to confirm tours before making the drive, she suggested that I may have spoken with a call center because she had been the only person answering phones all morning. I clarified that I had been transferred directly to the South Bay/Carson location and confirmed that this was the location I called. She repeated that she had been the only person answering phones. I then asked what I could do differently next time, since this was now the second time I had been turned away despite following the information provided. Her advice was to call ahead and specifically ask for the South Bay location--which is exactly what I had already done. When I asked if there was a direct phone number for the location so I could avoid this issue in the future, I was told there wasn't one. At this point, I will not be returning. Being turned away twice despite making a good-faith effort to verify tour availability reflects a lack of organization, communication, and courtesy toward prospective clients. If a facility cannot provide consistent information to prospective customers, it raises concerns about reliability and the overall experience I could expect if I entrusted my dog to their care.

He was at animal control for a long time before we adopted him, & I believe he has some trauma history, but Joyful Paws is the most relaxed I've seen him (well, as "relaxed" as he gets in this type of situation). I love the very large space of their facility, the many staff on duty at all times, their caring, and just the obvious dog knowledge and know-how when it comes to handling/interacting with them. Not every dog is a fluffy, friendly, cuddle bomb - most dogs are complex and come with their own unique personalities & baggage. Just like humans. And Joyful Paws knows this and can adapt, handle, & control while letting the pet know they are safe and in good hands (which in turn reassures us pet parents). I know he is well cared for & loved while being boarded. I know he will be secure & have active time and rest. They really do get it here at Joyful Paws. I had to take him somewhere else one time as it was last minute and Joyful Paws was all booked for private suites, which was quite traumatic for my doggo. The accommodations and caretaking just were not the same. He came home a nervous wreck w/a raw spot on his nose from rubbing it against the door, as well as digestive issues. This has never happened at Joyful Paws, so one more bit of proof that they are definitely the right choice for pet boarding

Thank you for reaching out and listening to our concerns. I would like to sincerely thanks Ambassador and their sister location, All American Animal for showing compassion during our recent visit on 02/24/2026. We are long-time patients of this clinic and have always trusted the team with our dogs' care, which is why we continue to come here whenever our pets are not feeling well. We brought Kino in because he was experiencing excessive itchiness, redness, vomiting, and was clearly in discomfort. Despite the office being very busy, we truly appreciated the time that Dr. Meina took to see him and make sure he received the treatment he needed. From the moment we were brought in, he listened attentively as I explained Kino's symptoms and concerns. It meant so much to feel heard and understood, especially when your pet is clearly not feeling well and in distress. Dr. Meina took the time to thoroughly assess Kino's condition and explain the available treatment options, ensuring we felt comfortable and informed with the plan of care. His patience, professionalism, and compassion helped make an already stressful situation much easier for both us and our dog. I would also like to thank Marisol, the manager, who reached out after we addressed our concerns and helped refer us to their sister clinic's urgent care so that Kino could receive the care he needed as soon as possible. Despite some initial misunderstanding, the office took the time to listen to our concerns and worked with us to find a way to assist in getting Kino the care he needed. That level of communication and willingness to help truly made a difference. Veterinarians and their teams play such an important role in relieving pain, managing illness, and ensuring our pets are comfortable and safe. We love this clinic and appreciate the dedication the staff shows to their patients and families. Thank you again to Dr. Meina and Marisol for taking the time to listen, support us, and make sure Kino received the care he needed.

When I finally spoke with the doctor nearly a month later, he seemed to think we had already discussed the results. I also requested my cat's medical records and was told they would be emailed to me, but they never were. The staff were always friendly and professional, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. My concern was never the friendliness of the team, but the lack of communication and follow-through. At the end of the day, I'd rather have prompt communication than have to repeatedly chase down results while worried about my pet's health. Time for a new vet.
