My experience so far has been great! The customer service was friendly and the girl at the reception desk was very informative and so kind to my 5 month old pup. My puppy is a 5 month old Golden Retriever and he comes home happy and exhausted. I especially love that they have a calendar of events! My puppy got to play with the ball pit and enjoyed his puppy push pop. He got excited right away when he saw we were taking him a second time!! I also appreciate they have cameras that you can access from home so you can watch your fur baby and know they're ok! I do wish the space was a tad bigger or even had an outdoor grass area but it's sufficient for those busy work days to make sure my puppy gets the exercise and socializing he needs! Oh and the treats they sell are my dog's new favorites! Apparently Belmont shore location has a lot more variety but I found enough for me to take home and try out. As if those aren't enough pros, they send you with a report card and pics each visit!! read more

Hello My first time I took my dog it was a great experience. My 2nd time I took her in, when I came to pick up, I was notified that the groomer nipped her tong with scissors. They proceeded to tell me it happens all the time. I used to take my dog to Petco groomers for 2 years and it never, ever happened. I will never bring my dog there again! read more

We started off going to the signal hill location but our dog got the "cough" there so we began going to the Downtown Long Beach location. We liked it, never any issues until recently. We found out they were closed down but nobody told us and we drove all the way there. We called (spoke to a rather snippy male associate) at Signal Hill and was told and they require the bordetella shot every 6 months which is more than the veterinary recommendation of once per year. I'm really concerned about pets being over vaccinated. It's a real issue... After a few days passed of our dog boarding we got a text from BB with a picture of a white growth in our dogs mouth and they would have to isolate him. Our dog is our only pet, and his only exposure to other animals is the quarterly grooming and boarding (no dog parks). He had to have gotten this from one of those places. I will say I was happy BB checked him and told us because we got him checked out at the vet. We were told too many vaccinations could be the reason for these issues, and also unsterilized dog toys and food/water bowls. Every place has their own regulations. We were also told lots of Frenchies have this but we have no idea. After a few weeks of monitoring, adding a supplemental vitamin to get his immune system back up and our dog is fine! read more

I recently boarded my dogs at Bark Bark Pet Hotel for one night and was shocked to be charged $378, far exceeding the quote I was originally given. When I brought this concern to the manager, Vivian, she showed no empathy and simply stated that I "should have read the contract." Beyond the disappointing pricing, the experience took a much more unsettling turn. The main reason I chose Bark Bark was their advertised video monitoring service, which turned out to be unavailable for one of my dogs. Later, I was informed that my dog had to be "scolded and pinned against the wall" by a staff member. As a pet parent of small dogs, this was extremely disturbing. When I raised this with Vivian, she dismissed it, saying she wasn't present and that "sometimes staff have to do what they have to do." That response alone spoke volumes about the lack of compassion and accountability in their management. To make matters worse, Vivian also questioned me about a missing checkout clipboard, implying my husband had taken it after "reviewing footage." We checked our belongings thoroughly we did not have it, nor would we have any reason to take it. The accusatory tone was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. As a manager for a Fortune 500 company, I was astonished at how poorly this situation was handled. Vivian's defensive and condescending demeanor reflected very poorly on the Bark Bark brand. The only bright spot was Desiree, another manager, who was genuinely pleasant, professional, and compassionate. She was the only positive part of this experience and deserves recognition for her excellent customer service. Unfortunately, due to the excessive pricing, distressing treatment of my dogs, and Vivian's lack of empathy and professionalism, I cannot in good conscience recommend Bark Bark Pet Hotel. This is our go-to place to board our 5-year-old mutt River when we can't take her to various destinations. They have strict behavior and vaccination policy, which is why I have a great peace of mind when my dog stays here. There is also a live cam until 4 pm every day. Not only does this provide reassurance, but it's quite entertaining to check out what she's up to when we're on the road. The staff is kind and clearly enjoys being surrounded by dogs of all shapes and sizes, and the dogs follow the staff like pied pipers. It's also a good sign that my dog seems excited when being dropped off for her boarding, even if it means that she'll be away from us for the duration. If she stays for more than a week, she even gets a complimentary grooming session before we pick her up. She smelled so good the last time she got groomed. read more

5 Stars - Jasmin loved her overnight spa stay! We booked a week long spa stay for our dog Jasmin at Bark! Bark! and couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we dropped her off, the staff made us feel confident she'd be well cared for. Jasmin can be a bit picky about new environments, but her spa room was setup with a cozy warm blanket (and her "stuff") and it seemed to put her right at ease. It was clear the team genuinely cares about each pup's comfort and individual needs. One of our favorite features was being able to check in on Jasmin through the cool cams. It was so reassuring (and entertaining!) to see her unscripted tail wagging. (and napping). Being able to watch her while we were away gave us such peace of mind. Very convenient! An oganized and simply easy process of leaving my dog. I wanted her to look back, but staff member kept it moving. I am confident she (my dog) is in good hands! That was five years, ago! Fast forward to today, I have used Bark Bark for daycare, boarding, grooming and today for a la carte grooming services. I was happy to have stumbled upon their grooming and specialized treats location in Belmont Shores. The location is pleasant and convenient for services my dog needs at least once a month. I trust the staff at all of the Bark Bark locations and the groomers. My dog and her well-being are important to me, so rather than not get a bargain elsewhere, I got peace of mind instead. He doesn't go anywhere as he's an inside dog so there really is no other place he could have gotten it. $400 later and hes still on antibiotics for the last 2 weeks. It's a newer facility but felt very grimey. The girl was pulling my dog which made me extremely uncomfortable. They didnt even put his harness on correctly one arm was out. I dont know if they have trained professionals watching your dog. It felt like students or young adults summer jobs type of a vibe. Just want to post so other parents are also aware! read more

This review only applies to their sudden policy changes. We have been bringing our dog here for years, and it has always been a good experience. Unfortunately, out of nowhere we received an email today letting us know our dog is no longer welcome due to her seizures. She had one episode there, years ago, and she hasn't had any episodes in years. Given that I travel so much for work, we relied on them on Wednesdays when my wife has to go into the office. To give zero grace period, and the opportunity to find different accommodations, is completely unprofessional. We had planned to have our dog cared for at Bark Bark every Wednesday the next 3 weeks, and now we have to scramble to figure out where we can take her. Again, this review only applies to the sudden policy change, nothing else. Their services were always great, and we never had any concerns dropping off our dog with them, which is why I am giving them a 5 star review. I only hope they consider giving clients a grace period in the future if any sudden policy changes are made. read more
