Six pretty good sized men showing up at one woman's house is definitely overkill. Six men showing up at your house would be scary to some women!!! It's surely NOT wise!!! Some of these guys could have sat in one of their trucks instead of just standing around. Anyway, 2 of the fellas - evidently worker bees - went under my house while everyone else stood around. They looked around, & saw the how the previous plumber had blocked my access to the rest of the plumbing & came out to tell their bosses. They told the Main Boss how all my plumbing was PVC pipe. He made it very plain that he wasn't pleased to hear that. He said that he doesn't like working with PVC. Maybe he doesn't do drain lines. I explained to him that I needed that one drainage line moved (rerouted,) so that it didn't block my path & I wanted the water lines wrapped for the Winter, so they wouldn't freeze. I don't think I told them that I needed the drainage lines strapped up which is another thing the previous plumber failed to do. Anyway, they didn't want to dig under the line that was blocking the access to see the rest of the plumbing behind it, so they really couldn't give me a real estimate, but the head guy said they'd do the work. I wasn't impressed! I don't do half or maybe estimates, or just hire folks NOT knowing what all is involved & how much money I am going to spend!!! So, no thank you, K&K!!!

They came out, but instead of simply diagnosing and addressing the issue, they had her wait while they spent roughly 45 minutes sitting in their van putting together three "proposals." The options started at about $1,000, with a second option around $2,000 and a top-tier option around $3,000. As I recall, the $3,000 proposal included replacing the toilet, while the first two were various levels of "repair." That seems like an awful lot of money for what turned out to be a bad wax ring damaged during a flooring install. I have since removed the toilet myself, replaced the wax ring, and everything is fine. No major repair was needed and certainly no $1,000-$3,000 solution. No wonder their address is on "profit dr." If this company isn't private equity-owned, they're sure doing a good impression of the private-equity playbook: upsell aggressively, present multiple expensive options, and turn a simple repair into a major sales opportunity. What a rip-off. Get a second opinion before agreeing to anything. Buyer beware.

Ernest responded promptly and was able to get to me within a couple of hours of our call. He let me know he was coming 30 minutes before and showed up right on time. They said the drain line was broken at the septic tank entrance, and recommended a complete septic line replacement at 4000.00. I gave them 50% (2000.00) to start to have the line dug up. I don't know if they were in a hurry or what but I hope it was not a sham. Such a simple thing to diagnose - check the tank 1st to see if it is full. I figured that out on my own, thank goodness! So what they convinced me to do was not needed at all - the septic tank was simply full and needed pumping. Cost me 2000.00 and tore up my yard for nothing. My yard was torn up and there remains a 6" high by 12 feet long mound that I guess I will have to level out on my own since you can't mow over it. I asked if there might some refund on my 2000.00, and the tech said he would check, but I never heard back from them. Unless I hear something ( it has been 6 months), I can't recommend this company.
